Very welcoming, we received tea and coffee when we arrived after a long road. The room is very cosy and comfy, we can hear the sheeps bleat from the window and it's kind of relaxing... The view is amazing : calm landscapes and lochs everywhere. Breakfast was also pleasant and feeding. That was the best experience we found in Scotland. Skyeisland is very beautiful !!!
Tips:In the North : Old man of Storr, Portree. In the South : Carbost, fairy pools,Cuillin.

Tips:The old man of stor, fairy pools, fairy glen and just the right hand side of the island is beautiful. A few lovely restaurant in broadford as to which the owners recommend for us!

We really enjoyed our stay at Coille Challtainn. The house was in a quiet situation with views over a pretty bay. It was also immaculate. the bed was comfy and the breakfasts very good. Flora was very helpful and answered any questions we had and also made suggestions of places and restaurants to visit.

Fran provides a nice peaceful B and B on Skye. Her guest house has three guest rooms upstairs. The rooms are not next to each other, providing additional privacy. The area is quiet with lovely countryside views. For dining there is a good pub within a hardy walk or short drive. Fran prepares a delicious breakfast providing a good selection.
Tips:No very close restaurants; good walk to one near the water or short car rides to others. Quiet end of the isle.

Very friendly hosts, cup of tea on arrival was great. Peaceful location so a great nights sleep and the hotel just down the road did super food. Breakfast in the morning was good.

It’s in a beautiful spot with a lovely family atmosphere. Tea offered on our arrival even though we could have made this in our roomThe room was very comfortable and the whole place spotless Excellent breakfast cooked to order with lots to choose from before on the buffet No problem in obtaining an earlier breakfast
Tips:We stopped over on our way to the morning ferry There is a good hotel/pub within a few minutes drive for dinner or you could eat before arriving Will certainly go again if in that area

Amazing accommodation, clean, lovely, very tasty breakfast, amazing view from the dining room, so friendly and nice hosts. we had arrived later in the evening and had to leave early in the morning to catch the ferry, but this was not a problem for them. I would recommend this accommodation. The only thing we regret is that we didn't spend more days here!!!

The B&B is located in a very small village of Isleornsay. Very idyllic location with sheeps and fields around. Our host was very friendly and helpful, rooms were spacious and tidy, and the breakfast was also delicious (I recommended the smoked haddock if you have already had one too many Scottish breakfasts!). I would definitely recommend Coille Challtainn for anyone visiting Isle of Skye.
Tips:Isle of Skye is a small island and distances were not that bad. About 8 miles to the nearest bigger town with grocery stores and a gas station, and there is also a really nice restaurant + pub about 10 minutes walk to the coast, ask from the host!

A quick over night stay on our way home from the Western Isles. A late arrival was not a problem. A warm welcome and a spacious bedroom awaited us. Tips:The http://www.theskyeguide.com/ provides a number of excellent walks to do around the island. Good places for food include the Siacafe in Broadford and the spectacularly set Seumas Bar next to the sligachan hotel with a choice of 500 whiskys.

A warm welcome from Flora Anne with delicious cooked breakfast including fresh fruit salad and smoked haddock - yum. Beds nice and firm and a spacious twin room with nice view.
Tips:Eat at the wonderful local pub but protect yourself with anti midgy skin so soft oil! Just a ten minute walk from the B and B. It was less busy on the roads in the area and very quiet secluded spot for those looking to get away from it all

Tips:Things to see: Point of Sleate, take a hike to the most southern point of Skye. Terrain has some raise and drops, at the end you reach a lovely sand beach and the lighthouse. Good views on a sunny day. Eat and drink: "Am praban bar" serves delicious food (burger! salmon!), great beer and a nice choice single malt whisky. Just a short walk away.

Tips:Artists' studio 'Heavens Ocean' nearby creates original prints, textile collages and watercolours. Good pub food and music at Isleornsay Hotel. Impressive mature trees and gardens at Clan Donald Centre. Superb native oakwoods and views of the Cuillins from Ord, Tokavaig and Tarskavaig.
