The house is awesome, very clean, with a lot of space, comfortable Our host was so kind, she came to say hello and talk à Little with us, but before that she always responded to us by message. She gave us a such great advices for direction, activities, restaurant for the evening. If I came back to Scotland I will be back in this such Lovely house

Perfect location to visite the castle of Dunvegan and Coral Beach. About 45min from the fairy pools and Portree. Good restaurant near the house

Prachtige wandeltocht naar MacLoad’s Maidens. Lopen met prachtig uitzicht op de kust. Heen en weer 14,5 km. Daar doe je meer dan 5 uur over, maar zeer de moeite waard.

Facilities just as pictured. Host checked in with us before arrival and had the cottage prepared. Breakfast basket with fresh juices and milk waiting for us in the fridge. View was Incredible and just a short distance to the town for dinner, drinks and groceries. Perfect spot to enjoy the coastal attractions.

Do follow the advice and make your restaurant reservations in advance. We didn’t but were able to do take out from The Old School. Fantastic!

A lovely place to stay - downstairs accommodation particularly good - spacious and comfortable. Breakfast supplied was a bit basic eg it would have been nice to have some fruit and natural yoghurt and perhaps better quality ingredients as almost everything was prepackaged or long life. Had we realised what was on offer we would have brought more supplies ourselves. However we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others

We treated ourselves to a meal at The Three Chimneys which was amazing but expensive so we ate in the cottage on the other night and had a very pleasant evening there over a bottle of wine.

Very modern and cosy cottage. Rooms large, comfortable and stylish decorated. Kitchen, lounge area and additional living room very inviting. Modern bathroom with wonderful thick and brilliant white towels. All was very clean. Host Angie was very friendly - gave us good information for restaurants in the village. Breakfast boxes were well equipped (e.g. italian prociutto/ham). 15 minutes walk to centre of Dunvegan. Absolutely quiet area and location. We recommend Brae Cottage as one of the bests accommodations we‘ve stayed in. Perfect place to have a good time!

As the restaurant „The old school“ and others need reservation very long time in advance (!), we went to „Misty“ spontaneously - which was absolutely OK (with lochview). Keep it mind, that dinner is quiet early at most of the spots. Next to „Misty“ is a small general store, where you can purchase all you need.

Angie is very accommodating and willing to help go the extra mile. We didn’t think about booking a taxi for our dinner reservation. She handled all of that for us. She was fast in communicating and great with the directions. We will definitely come back for another visit but it will be more extended.

Book an evening meal at The Three Chimney’s restaurant. Well worth if you can get in. Make a day of walking around the town and visiting the local shops.

Angie was a perfect host, very friendly and helpful. The house was perfect, we have the room on the ground floor with private access and private bathroom outside the room. You can use the kitchen for self breakfast with the product that Angie leaves for you in the fridge and you can store food as well.

Have a dinner in the Old school restaurant 15 minutes walk from the cottage but you remember to reserve in advance os not so big, you can reserve in their web site. Go to the Neist point Lighthouse is amazing, 30 minutes from the cottage by car and you can arrive in Front of the Lighthouse with a 45 minutes walk is a easy path.

Total Surprise at the size of the accommodation and the facility to be able to cook etc. It was and absolutely fantastic place to relax. Plenty of space to socialise or avoid the other guests if needed.

We would recommend the The old school house to eat but there were also a couple of other options in the village including Blas which was very alternative Fish and Chips. There were also lots of amazing walks in the area. The amazing Dunvegan Castle is walking distance.

A beautiful cottage, spacious, clean, finished to the high standards. Comfortable beds and views from the bedroom windows to die for. A great sense of tranquility 😊 The cottage is located close enough to few attractions e.g. Neist Point Lighthouse, the Coral Beach or Dunvegan Castle and Gardens. Angie, the owner, very nice and helpful offering plenty of advice, quick to respond to any questions. Highly recommend the Brea Cottage and we would happily stay there again. Thank you Angie 😊

If you are lucky enough you can watch a lovely sunset from the coast by the Neist Point Lighthouse. Quite a few people with cameras to catch the view. Coral beach with plenty of shells and turquoise water will make you think you are in tropical country, just the temperature of the water brings you back to Scotland😂

Extremely friendly and accommodating, managed to provide an extra single duvet. Angie's a wealth of knowledge about things to do and see. She recommended the coastal road, which we originally didn't intend to do - then we did and had a blast, including at Duntulm Castle and Fairy Glen.

Prebooking local restaurants is highly recommended. We didn't heed the advice because we didn't quite know when or where we would like to eat - couldn't get in on short notice and ate at The Misty instead, which was also good. Driving to Neist Point is highly recommended, though the narrow (and steep in places) single-track road can be a bit daunting.

Great property with all amenities. Big kitchen with all one needs to prepare a meal, all provisions for breakfast provided, super bathroom and wonderful shower. So much room not only in our bedroom but also in the shared lounges. Angie always very informative and attentive.

Walks on Totterish are a treat, especially The old man of Storr. Plenty of good resturants around, wished we were there when the Stein Inn was open as it is in a fabulous location. Gardens at Dunvegan Castle are a treat.

Brae Cottage is modern, clean and welcoming with super facilities such as the hot tub and laundry. The kitchen is well equipped, perfect for self catering and a delicious range of breakfast items are included in the price. We enjoyed relaxing in the comfortable lounge area playing the Scrabble and cards provided. The room and bedding were also very comfortable.

Visit the Old School House for delicious local cuisine. We’d recommend a trip to the Fairy pools and a drive along the coast for beautiful scenery and views.

Hospitality was great, accessible information and lovely breakfast. Very helpful and informative hosts, contactable easily. The property is beautifully kept, the sofa was so comfortable as was the bed! Shower felt amazing too.

Be prepared with food, the kitchen facilities are plentiful, so pack dry food that you can cook. Local restaurants have amazing food, but check opening times as well. Good location, with amazing views.

Really lovely stay at Brae Cottage. Angie was so welcoming, friendly and provided great recommendations. Cottage was homely, spacious and clean. Room was really lovely. Absolutely ideal place to stay whilst visiting beautiful skye. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be coming back!

Don't miss The Oyster Shed in Talisker Bay. The Old School in Dunvegan were doing really tasty take away due to Covid restrictions. Skye Skins - tannery and lovely cafe. So many great walks - The Quiraing, The Old man of Storr and the walk from Elgol to Camasunary Bay. Brilliant.

The cottage was very spacious, modern and well maintained. Spotlessley clean. It also had a utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer which was ideal for us sorting out our walking gear. The breakfast was perfect. Lots of choice. There were x3 seating areas which was great for each party having their own space. The staff were in touch to make sure we were happy with our stay. We hope to return in the future as we really enjoyed our stay. Thanks!

We were doing the Cullin ridge so we were pretty much occupied with that. I've been to Skye before and revisited the Old Man of Storr and drove along the coast. Unfortunately some places were closed due to lock down not being fully over. We would have liked to visit the Talisker Distillery and Dunvegan Castle but we will do that next time. We were just happy to be able to travel and get out of the house :-).

We felt like at home at the Brae Cottage. A cosy, comfortable, clean and modern-furnitured cottage where you can spend nice moments with your family and frieds.The kitchen is available for self-catering at any time and the living room has a stunning view on the hills. It's the second time I've been there and I certainly recommend it to anyone willing to experience a real Scottish atmosphere. Angie, the owner, is really nice and helpful. Don't miss the chance to meet her in person!

What a great stay my wife and I had here. A fabulous location for exploring skye from. The cottage was amazing. Scrupulously clean and large areas to relax in. Angie was very attentive every day in making sure we were happy and had everything we needed.

Take Angie’s advice and precook restaurants before your arrival as they seem to be fully booked all the time. We are at the school house , Angie’s recommendation , and it was very good. Angie was so friendly and welcoming, and gave us lots of tips and pointers for restaurants and local activities. The hot tub was a perfect place to relax after the Skye half marathon. Thanks for such a lovely few days!

We had an excellent stay at Brae Cottage, even though we were sharing a toilet. Everything was super clean; the host was very kind. They gave us perfect directions and ideas for a visit. The kitchen is shared with all the rooms, but it is spotless. Breakfast was perfect as well. If I come again to the Isle of Skye, I will book Brae Cottage again.

We were recommended The Old School restaurant and we booked it for the two nights, excellent food and service. Dunvegan is a perfect location for many famous Isle of Skye sites.

Fantastic facility in a great location. Self serve breakfast is a real advantage for those that want to be up and out in the marvellous landscape Skye offers

Old school Restaurant is nearby and excellent but you need to book.
