Perfect location and stunning cottage. Host was super helpful and had thought of everything when creating this beautiful living space. Can't recommend this place highly enoughđâĽď¸
Tips:Beautiful scenery and lots of stuff to do. Explore the local area too. The only tip is go everywhere early or be prepared to wait in the queues.

This cottage is a gem. Fully equipped with anything you can think of. We loved the warm and cosy atmosphere. Wonderful views over the loch and absolut silence. The floor heating was fantastic in this rainy and windy August week.
Tips:Ian Cake, the fruit and nut shop

See guest book :-) We enjoyed our stay and when we come back to Isle of Skye we will first check if we can book with you.
Tips:Glenvegan Castle and Gardens in the north and the Museum of the Isles at Armadale Castle in the south offer contrasting and complementing views on the life of the clans on the island and how they changed with the times. Avoid outside dining during midges' season. They will consider you the food :-)

Beautiful cottage, well maintained/presented with very lovely hosts. Good communications. Well situated for access to all areas on Skye, prively set back from the main road and maintaining a natural feel to the outside environment.
Tips:Make sure to book any meals out in advance - might need to tailor your daytime plans to suit. Lots of activities and local folklore/history to explore.

23rd May 2023:
Crofters Cottage is most definitely a 7* property rather than a mere 5*! Everything that you could possibly need is provided. It is comfortable, peaceful, warm, amazing views, excellent location for exploring the northern side of Skye. The Welcome Pack of food and goodies, the milk and orange juice and yoghurt in the fridge, the provisions in the cupboard could feed a family of four for a month! Such generous hosts who are keen to ensure your holiday accommodation is exceptional. It is, Simply the Best! đ
Tips:Plenty of restaurants and cafes in nearby Dunvegan although booking beforehand might be a good idea. Certainly if you decide to go over to Portree and want to eat BOOK a restaurant the day before! The walk recommended by Marie and Ian in their Welcome Guide is well worth doing, just wear appropriate shoes as it was rather muddy. NB The start church is the one at the other end of Dunvegan from Crofters Cottage. The Fairy Pools are a must do but not for those who have problems walking. Kilt Rock viewing point closed (20/5/23) but will be great when done. Beware of roads this end of the island - humongous potholes everywhere. Take time to just sit outside Crofters Cottage and look at the sea and breathe in fresh Skye air. Perfect way to relax - after all, youâre on holiday, so sit and âsmell the rosesâ metaphorically speaking.

You were helpful and went out your way to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Murdos impromptu guided tour was excellent and we saw bits of the island we would have missed.
Tips:Old Inn on route to the Fairy Pools was excellent. Old School House Restaurant in Dunvegan is also good. Banana and choc muffins at Bog Myrtle Cafe also bonus. Do the loop round top of island via Uig scenery is stunning.

20th June 2021:
Crofterâs Cottage was perfect for us. We wanted somewhere quiet and situated on its own. The view from the front of the cottage is stunning as is the scenery all around Skye. Around every corner there are beautiful & dramatic views. The cottage had everything that we needed. The basket of goodies was greatly appreciated and the free range eggs were delicious. We didnât want to leave and when we visit Skye again we will definitely book Crofters for our stay
Tips:Neist Point is a must see. We visited when it was very windy which added to the dramatic scenery 1 tip would be, if you plan to eat out then book well in advance. We always left it too late to book! The COVID restrictions obviously mean the restaurants canât accommodate as many people as they would like to and spaces gets booked up very quickly.

Marie made the whole process really easy. Great instructions on how to find the cottage and lots of info at the house to enhance our stay. The cottage is beautiful, fabulous furnishings and so comfortable and well appointed. There is so much to see in the area too.
Tips:Lots of wildlife, birds eagles, otters, plus beaches and castles within a short drive. The local village has a general store, bakery and a few places to grab fish and chips or pizzas.
