This is in a great location just a few miles from Portree. Phillippa our host always kept in touch and was only minutes away if we needed something. Very clean and tidy with all the amenities we needed.

Portree a busy town, but we managed to get great fish & chips and take it take to the pod. If you travel past the Fairy pools heading south, there's a good beach at Glenbrittle. Had a fantastic lobster lunch at The Oyster Shed near Carbost

If you are a tall person like my husband bed was a bit short Maybe a suggestion would be to have a pull out bed in the lounge area otherwise everything was perfect.

Philippa was extremely welcoming and even allowed us to check in early which was very helpful to us. The views are incredible and the shoreline a short walk away. Much thought has been put into the pod to ensure a comfortable stay and the decking area is particularly pretty at the moment with the azaleas and rhododendrons in full bloom.

We would highly recommend the loop walk from the pod to the shoreline and around through the township back to the pod.

The accommodation exceeded our expectations and the title "Pod" doesn't do it justice. Whilst compact in size it is extremely comfortable and well designed with quality fixtures and fittings. We were made very welcome and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

2nd October 2022:

We were lucky enough to happen to be in this lovely place when we got sick. Very unique and beautiful location, feels far away from everything but is at the same time close to Portree for anything you might need. Tiny, super quiet, super cozy, bed is mighty comfortable. We did not get to meet our host in person, but she was very helpful through email :) Literally the only thing where I can see room for improvement in the pod is a better way to get rid of air moisture after showering as it tends to linger for a long time. Would come back again 100% !

This little pod is the perfect fetaway for couples looking to unwind and get away from it all. The pod has everything you need, and we actually enjoyed not having the TV, we listened to music, played board games and actually just enjoyed each others company. The views are simply stunning and we loved being remote. We loved that we had a contact number if we needed anything but other than that the owners left us alone to enjoy our time.

Walk down to the shore from the pod, we took the binoculars and after a small wait some seals came to visit and were as interested in us as we were them. Bring a little throwaway bbq as there is a lovely wee picnic bench with views. We brought a Bluetooth speaker so we could relax with some music. Plenty restaurants and takeaways nearby in Portree. The owners have left domino's and cards. The fridge is a decent size and the shower lovely and hot. Visit the fairy pools, coral beach and old man of stor.

During our 2 weeks road trip through scotland, this was the best accommondation we had. It's a lovely place that offers everything you need. The sheeps around the cabin have been friendly neighbours and always said hello when we arrived.

Within only 10 minutes you can go to portree and buy everything you need. In the cabin is a little Microwave/Oven so you can also cook something.

The pod was very clean when we arrived and easy to find. the key box was great for us arriving at any time due to travelling from Glasgow. The experience at the pod was wonderful the views were amazing and it was very relaxing with the only sounds being the birds and a few sheep. I was visiting with my cousin who is visiting from Australia and will be recommending the pod to family and friends and hope to visit again with my partner. Such a lovely little place to stay.

Definitely recommend bringing a car to get around easier or joining a tour. We traveled most of skye in our 3 days and could of stayed longer, everywhere you look there’s something different. Recommend the whale tours at the harbour and of course a trip to the fairy pools!

Most pods are in 2's, 3's or more giving you little or no privacy, The Isle of Skye Pod is perfect for couples who want to get away from it all, the only neighbours we had were 3 very friendly lambs. There is plenty of space inside if the weather is bad but if it is good like it was for us there is a large decking area giving beautiful views of the surrounding area and there is also a picnic bench on the bank behind the pod where you can watch the sunset which we were lucky to get both nights of our stay. You could spend your break here chilling and listening to/watching the local wildlife or you can use it as a base to explore the wonderful Isle of Skye.

Although visiting Portree and it's picturesque harbour is a must there is loads of other places to visit like Broadford with it's market square by the Co-op, Uig is in a lovely setting, Sligachan hotel is a nice spot to stop and have wander by the old bridge and river. If going to the Old man of Storr be aware that it can be very busy by late morning/lunchtime so maybe an early start is better. There are loads of places to eat on the island and we would highly recommend Skeabost House Hotel about 6 miles North of Portree, local produce and a decent plateful of food. You have Talisker and Torabhaig whisky distilleries, Isle of skye distillers in Portree who produce gin, Raasay distillery producing gin & whisky, you also have Cuillin brewery at Sligachan hotel and Isle of Skye brewing Co in Uig who both brew beers/lagers and ales. I'd also highly recommend stopping at the Misty Bottle at Breakish old post office before Broadford who have a good selection of Malt whisky, gin & beers. Be aware of other visitors suddenly pulling over at the side of the road because they've seen a Highland cow or a waterfall or something worth taking a photo of.

Such a wonderful place to stay, about 10 minutes from Portree. I was traveling alone so the accommodations were perfect. Fantastic view and there are chairs in the shed just off to the side. Perfect

No wireless. Phone signal was good to check email, etc, Get up early and enjoy the sights - less traffic. Also, hike to the top of Old Man of Storr for incredible views. Back your car into the lot for the pod. Makes it easier to get out.

We imagined living in clouds continuously framing and reframing new views of the shore landscape, like living in prismatic light and shadows, smelling the salty water and hearing it’s movement with the sounds of wildlife. We imaged the warmth of the pod if it snowed and the intermittent hikes to the water on the foggy backyard trail. Thank you for planting those dreams. We hope we can arrange credit for a future stay. The Skye Pod was everything I'd hoped for and more! Isolated, quiet, well equipped and with a great view down to the sea. I only gave a 4 Rating for Service/Staff as we didn't have (or need) any interaction with the owners. I would definitely stay there again.

My husband and I are interested in history, archaeology and landscape so visited various ancient sites. Not everyone's choice.

Lovely pod with amazing views, privacy and wildlife in abundance. The pod itself was spotless with lots of details that made the stay very comfortable such as a hair dryer and small heater when we came in from the rain! We really loved it here.

The small bay at the bottom of the hill was a lovely spot to wildlife watch and we saw a pod of dolphins and seals there! In Tobermory we enjoyed food at the Bosworth hotel (you’ll need to book) we also took a long walk around the North East tip of the island which was amazing and secluded. We’d recommend the Ullinish lodge if you wanted something quite sqecial in terms of food

This is a fantastic location, with everything you need. Very comfortable. My husband was not at all happy at The prospect of “glamping” at our age, 67 and 70, but he loved it and is now telling all his friends.

Be sure to go down to the beach at Camastianavaig, it’s lovely and go over to Raasay, it is exceptional.

Nous avons trouvé le pod sans difficultés en suivant les instructions données. Dès notre arrivée sur le parking on est séduit par le cadre naturel et la superbe vue dégagé sur la mer et les montagnes. Le pod est très fonctionnel, c est un petit cocon avec des espaces de rangements bien pensés comme celui sous le lit. Le pod se réchauffe vite au soleil. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour en amoureux.

En sortant du pod et en tournant à gauche à la cabine téléphonique on descend à une petit baie avec plage de galets mais très bien pour pic niquer. Pour les amoureux des oiseaux il y a une famille de chevalier guignette qui vit la. Nous avons aime aussi le fisc and fisc sur le port de portree il est excellent !!!!

Leitir Fura is a must as is Raasay & Dunvegan Castle. A visit to Skyeskins with their pop up Yurt for a cup of coffee is also worthwhile. Look out for shows and Live National Theatre at The Aros Experience. Sitting in a theatre on the Isle of Skye while watching a performance in London is surreal.

We had a great stay in the pod. The proprietors have equipped the pod well. They emailed very easy to follow instructions for how to get to the pod, then greeted us and showed us where everything was. We were very impressed by the attention to detail and consideration given to make our stay comfortable. The location was beautiful and quiet. The pod has a great view of the sound of Raasay. We would definitely stay in the pod again and highly recommend it.

The pod is just far enough off the beaten path to be quiet and a bit secluded, but is still fairly close proximity to Portree. Aros visitor center just outside of Portree provides free WiFi.

We had a lovely stay. For the size of the pod it was really well equipped - showed how with imagination it's possible to fit a lot into a small space. Good location for getting to different parts of Skye.

Aird peninsula (south on the Braes road) is a good half-day bimble - and good to see the site of Britain's last battle (1882)- when crofters beat off the evil landowner's bailiffS. The circular walk above the Quiraing and then back through it is a must. The Fairy Glen (near Uig) is weird.

Lovely Pod with an astonishing view. We even saw two seals and an otter down in the bay nearby.

You definitely need a car otherwise it will be difficult to go food shopping and getting around. The Fairy Pools are a must whilst staying on the Isle of Skye.

The location is excellent,close enough to Portree for all the shopping and restaurants you need and at the same time very quiet and secluded,with amazing views.the shed is a bonus and the owners are friendly and helpful,its been the kids favorite spot,we would definetely recommend it and we will be back.

Its all worth seeing on Skye,do the walks and the drives and if you find yourelf near Dunvegan,its worth taking the seal boat after seeing the castle's gardens,do eat the fish and chips at the Blas cafe,it was better than the restaurants in Portree!

Skye Pod is an outstanding accommodation for a few days at Skye. It would be most convenient for 2 persons. For one more person the bed place might be not so comfortable. The padio is excellent and we enjoyed the nice view. We really enjoyed our 2-days-stay in the Pod.

We made a round trip on the Skye Island by car with some short walks including the Old Man of Storr. Kilt rock and the Quiraing are very impressive - don't miss! Further, Dunvegan castle is a must see on Skye.

Could not recommend the Pod enough - so clean and well-kept it felt like we were the first people to ever stay there! Facilities are great and the view/location are superb. We will definitely be back!

Invest in a midge net if coming in summer months - we were very glad we had ours. Go to The Oyster Shed at Carbost for whole lobster and langoustines - they are delicious. Visit the Fairy Pools, Fairy Glen and Coral beach if you have a nice day - they are spectacular in the sunshine.

Very friendly, made to feel completely at home, we absolutely loved the bbq in fact we wish we used it both nights. There was everything you needed. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into this pod.

We had a great stay at the pod. Everything was just perfect! We really appreciated the barbecue available to the pod, which we used quite often. The view is just amazing and you can go for nice evening walk to the beach nearby. The pod is will equipped and very cosy! We were really happy that we booked it!

Fantastic accommodation, perfect for 2 people. We found the pod had everything we needed for our trip and the ever changing view (visible from bed!) was my favourite part, very special. The only thing I would add (and this is just my preference) is a side light for sitting at night. We played lots of cards etc and perhaps the led main lights don't offer as nice an ambiance as I would have liked..this was my only comment however. We loved the pod:)

We loved our stay at the pod. So peaceful with scenic views out to the bay. Loved having sheep and lambs in our front garden. The pod is wonderful-warm, cosy and has everything you need including lovely hot shower. Phillippa is lovely and very helpful. Good base from which to explore the island. Highly recommend

Drive around Trotterish Peninsula with stops at Old Man of Stoer, Kilt Rock/waterfall, Staffin beach, castle & the SUPERB Skye Museum of Island Life that of thatched cottages.

It was great at the pod despite the weather! We managed a walk up Ben Tianeveg which was great. It's so cosy and there views are beautiful. A real gem.

Ben Tianeveg, Old Man of Storr,Uig,Fairy Pools, Coral Beach. There were so many good things to do on Skye, even more of the weather is on your favour. Eat at The Cafe, under there Caledonian hotel in Portree, it's delicious.

An amazing 2 days had here with my boyfriend in this cosy pod with beautiful views an amazing hostess Philippa whom couldn't of been more welcoming and helpful couldn't recomend it highly enough was fantastic.

Fairly pools are a must. We also made a little fire and watched the stars witch was very nice

The pod had an excellent view and was in a good location close to Portree. It was very clean and well equipped with everything that we needed for our stay. It was a great base for exploring Skye and I'll definitely recommend it to friends who are going to the area.

Cinema at the AROS centre was a good way to spend a dark, autumn evening. Fairy Glen is a lovely place to visit on a sunny day.

Very helpful for directions when we lost signal on our phones for sat nav. Nice little touch with some milk for when we arrived. Very peacful and excellent scenery. Lovely island to explore. Loved the pod!!

Take waterproofs for when it rains. Fairy pools a must see. Also visit Skye Skyns for some lovely sheep wool accessories.

Such a beautiful location, compact pod but with everything you need.

We loved our walk to Neist Point lighthouse, and stopped at the incredible Three Chimney's for lunch on the way back.

Warm welcome by Pip & Angus. My daughter and I had a fantastic stay at the Skye Pod for 6 nights. Great location,very well equipped unit, I even managed to borrow a bike :-) Plenty to see and do in the area, and it is located quite centrally on the island, so nothing is too far away.

Book a few days in advance for the town / harbour restaurants. They get full very quickly at peak times. ignore the weather forecasts, as there seems to be a few micro climates on the island. we had great weather for 5/6 days. Make sure you make the effort to take the 'B' roads, and do some walking. If you cycle, this is a great place for it !

We loved the pod! It was perfect for our group of three. Our only compliant is we had a little trouble finding the pod at first, perhaps a sign near the telephone booth could help with that. Overall great experience - we wish we could of stayed longer!

Squeeze in as many hikes as possible when the weather is good!

Loved the pod. Fabulous views. Very clean and well equipped. Friendly welcome and lots of useful information available. Midgeys a real nuisance but totally outwith your control of course. Would re-visit outside summer season. Very happy to recommend - been raving about it already! Thanks for such a lovely place and friendly welcome.

Be prepared for the midgeys in summer. Good selection of places to eat in nearby Portree. Take a picnic if you are travelling around the more remote places on the island.
