Clean, cozy and great location for touring Skye. A 20 minute walk to the city center for restaurants and shops. Grocery store just across the way for grabbing picnic food before a long hike up old man of storr. Highly recommend for a couple looking for a place to stay.

We unfortunately only had one night to spend in this awesome apartment. Everything was simply perfect. I have extremely high standards in terms of cleanliness and hygiene and I’m safe to say that the place couldn’t have been any cleaner or more tidy. The kitchen is fully equipped and our host even left a “welcome package” with some croissants, cereals and drinks for us :-). Just wonderful - thanks a lot for making our visit to the Isle of Skye an unforgettable one!

This self-catered apartment was spotless and extremely well presented with all the necessities a traveller needs. Marlena had clearly gone the extra mile to provide us (guests) with a welcoming hello, furnishings and kitchen appliances and condiments. On-site parking and close proximity to local co-op a bonus. Although a 15-20 minute walk from town this did not distract from our stay and if we were to come back to the Isle of Skye, we would definitely re-book at 13 Matheson Place.
Tips:Get out to the sights early as we did. No hassle for parking and an opportunity to see natural beauty without big crowds. Quiraing, Old Man of Storr, Fairy Pools, etc. Make the effort and you can be rewarded. Book well ahead for popular restaurants (those that take online bookings)

Our hostess Marlena went out of her way to make our stay in Portree enjoyable. She even sent two hours drying our clothes in her dryer! I would highly recommend staying at this place!
Tips:During peak summer season you better make pretrip dinner reservations. The Chargrill restaurant was delicious, and a close walk.

It was a wonderful B&B so beautifully done, everything you would need. Was VERY clean. The hostess was amazing, even gave us a lift down town to catch up with friends for dinner as parking was tough that weekend due to a music festival. Just loved the stay and recommend highly.
Tips:The Old Man of Storr is a must. A bit if an uphill climb but worth it 👍👍👍

Everything was perfect! Clean, confortable,calm, luminous, kitchen very functional kitchen! We would come back!
Tips:Better book your restaurant because it's full everywhere! Particularly loved breakfast at café Arriba. But avoid noodles and rice n1 in bosville street, awful and very expensive.

Tips:there are few restaurants and the ones that are there are fish and chips, (all over Portree) we prefer to go to the supermarket, located two minutes away and cook in the apartment

Superbe appartement, très bien équipé, la literie est de qualité. La terrasse devant est sympa par jour de soleil et le parking juste devant la porte est parfait. L’hôte mets quelques petites choses à disposition pour le premier petit déjeuner ce qu’on a beaucoup apprécié. La cuisine est très très bien équipée.
Tips:On a dîner chez Dulse&Brose qu’on conseille fortement excellent restaurant mais pensez à réserver!!

Perfect home away from home on the Isle of Skye. The apartment is spotless and has all the facilities one may need during a holiday. You can really tell a lot of effort and attention to detail has gone into it! Thank you Marlena for the great hospitality!
Tips:Very convenient supermarket nearby. The Portree Harbour is only a short walk away. We had a lovely dinner at the Pier Hotel restaurant which we definitely recommend.
