Fabulous views. Wonderful apartment Clean, well equipped, homely and comfortable. Friendly and welcoming host. Great location for north of Skye. We loved the weather watching from the large window. We would love to return.
Tips:Book restaurants ahead of arrival, especially in summer. We went to the Uig Hotel and Skeabost Hose Hotel and would highly recommend both. We also loved visiting the Quiraing, Fairy Glens, Dunvegan Castle and Museum of Island Life.

That is one of my best stays ever (and I traveled more than 50 countries). Great stylish place, cozy, well equipped, I would say, luxury. The bed was so good! I especially loved the interior of our studio room, the bathroom and the breakfast. Felt myself like a royal person.
Tips:Bring dinner with you. And a bottle of wine - you will need it while enjoying the view from the window

Owner Response:Yulia - Thank You so much for your very kind review. It means a lot to us, and we hope to see you again in the future. In terms of 'dinner', guests don't HAVE to bring dinner with them. It is true that we don't serve evening meals, but there are many very good restaurants on Skye, and in the village closest to us, about three miles away - BUT, and this is really important ... in high season, you MUST make a reservation in advance. Thanks Steve

Clouds B&B is a beautiful, comfortable place to come to after a day of exploring the wonderful Isle of Skye. Steve and Lorraine have provided a warm and comfy home away from home with delicious snacks and beverages available in the apartment. We slept very well each night and enjoyed the incredible views out of the apartment windows. We will definitely stay here again if we're able to return to the Isle of Skye- which we fully hope to!
Tips:#1 - meet Chloe the Beagle :-) #2 - for a casual snack or meal in Portree, we really enjoyed Relish. #3 - the car parks in Portree allow 30 minutes free, then are only three pounds per three hours. The spaces are extremely tight, but everyone seems courteous of this fact. #4 - Take a good raincoat - it could be glorious and sunny, but you can also experience a good downpour while out exploring. Plan for the worst, hope for the best! :-)

Owner Response:Frank, Elisabeth - It was a real pleasure for us to have you stay with us. Two lovely, happy people having what looked to be a great time. Tips for other hosts :- You should really allow Frank & Elisabeth to stay at your place. They were SO tidy, so courteous and funny too!!

10th May 2024:
The campervan was ‘cosy’ and we managed fine in the relatively confined space, though the bed was a bit short for anyone over six feet. It was warm in the evening with the heater on. We liked the variety of choices for breakfast and the extras that we snacked on - many thanks for these. The shower was a bit of an issue, it being semi outside didn’t encourage us to use it but once in it was fine. The water did remain on the floor for 24hours! The hand basin in the shower room would be better if it were a bigger size - very tricky to wash or clean teeth in it. These are observations rather than criticisms - we are seasoned campers and used to basic facilities but I think some people might find it difficult to cope. It was wonderfully peaceful!
Tips:Expect to queue for parking if you go to any tourist site on Skye, even early morning or late afternoon. Some places are expensive to park but people do hand their tickets to you when leaving. If you go to the Quiraing range to walk use the lower road from Idigril both in and out or risk being stuck in jams for hours! We had a very good meal at the Galley cafe in Uig. Not cheap but good food!

Owner Response:Please note :- If you’re reading this review, Sue (who was lovely) stayed in Benny The Campervan, not one of the rooms in the house at Clouds. Thanks.

Steve was a welcoming, accommodating and helpful host. The room was clean, a good size, and well-equipped. It is clear Lorraine and Steve are concerned with more than just providing a serviceable stay to their guests, and have instead designed a unique room with personality, amazing views and great service. When we return to the Isle of Skye in the future, Clouds B&B will certainly be our first choice of accommodation.
Tips:The Galley Cafe in Uig is nearby, serves good food and is reasonably priced. Don't forget to book in advanced! Rubha Hunish at the northern tip of Skye is a lovely walk with stunning views of the ocean.

Staying in ‘The Studio’ was one of the best B&B’s we’ve been in. Steve was wonderful and got us settled in. The ample and varied continental breakfast was provided in the room (small fridge and microwave). The room was large with a couch and small table and chairs plus a good sized ensuite. The view south/west was beautiful even with the rain! Dry storage shed for bicycles.

The accommodations were cleaned and comfortable, with a beautiful view of the green fields and ocean. The owner was very helpful in recommending olaces for us to visit. The B&B is a little way from the town of Uig and the road is narrow but in good shape. We had no problem getting in or out.
Tips:The owner had warned us about the need to make reservations at restaurants in the area as they were very busy and if we didn’t have reservations we would not be able to get in. (This was the case for all restaurants in Uig as well as in Portree) We made reservations for one night and found that we needed to grab a late lunch at a restaurant when we were out sightseeing during the day and then just pick up a sandwich for dinners in the evening

We totally loved the family room which had it all. The kids fell in love with the B&B and it was their favorite stay during our road trip in Scotland. It will be on our list for next time. The view is amazing, great service and most of all it's so peaceful. We are a young family from the Netherlands and stayed here with our 3 small kids below 5.
Tips:Restaurant/take away The Galley, ideal with small children. Visit the Fairy Glen which is nearby. Great for the kids with a small walk/hike for an amazing view. Als the Quiraing is very close by.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Clouds B&B. The hosts Steve and Lorraine were very friendly, and made us feel at home. We stayed in the Apartment which was out of this world! Decorated perfectly and very clean. It was simply perfect in every way. Breakfast was delicious and we wish we could have stayed longer.
Tips:We went to The Gallery for a takeaway scampi and chips, which was really nice. We visited the Uig pottery by the pier which was a delightful little shop. We also walked up Qiuarang, Old man Storr and had lunch in Portree.

Was one of the best B&B’s we have ever stayed in, very cozy and homely. Lots of lovely personal touches and some lovely pieces of art and furniture. Room was incredibly clean. No local restaurants but we didn’t feel we missed out on anything. Room came with fridge, microwave, coffee maker and kettle. We called at a local coop and collected cheese, ham, pate and bread and a bottle of wine…made for a perfect night in with a perfect setting. Views were outstanding and had in not been gale force winds and torrential rain there was a gorgeous little balcony to sit outside and gaze at the stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Everything was perfect. we found the apartment extremely comfortable. The attention to every detail exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed the breakfast and the microwave was handy too. We really enjoyed the sunset and the bed was super comfortable. I wish we could return in the future and spend a bit longer time!
Tips:This is an extremely beautiful, while remote part of Scotland. The fact that there are not many restaurants or things to do per se is part of the attractive. Just walk and enjoy your time.

Steve and his wife were excellent hosts. I think we could of stayed all day just chatting to them! The property was brilliant and clean. We had everything we needed and more and the views were absolutely amazing! We will be back for sure!
Tips:I would advise booking restaurants in advance. With this being said we managed with taking picnics with us! I would recommend driving around the north of the island (although there isn’t many ‘tourist’ stops the scenery is stunning).

A warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Really well laid out accommodation with fabulous views. The record player in the room was a nice touch and worth utilising. The kids enjoyed the games outside and also in the room 😃

We stayed 1 night at Clouds B&B, hosts were very friendly and helpful. We had studio room, it was completely spotless! Lovely room, nicely decorated - I love wall art. Really DELUXE double room. There was everything what we need, place to sit and enjoy a view, dining table for 2, comfortable bed, large bathroom and own balcony. There were even some dishes & cutlery (apart from usual coffee & tea facilities), small fridge with some products for breakfast, fresh milk, juices etc. Lovely touches. It was definitely the nicest place we stayed on north of Skye (we stayed also at some other B&B the following day) and I can truly recommend this place. I think also price was very good what we got. Very pleased! Thank you.
Tips:Nearby Fairy Glen, Rha waterfall, Kilmuir beach (we've seen seals in the morning :) in Uig nice cafe next to filling station.

We could not have asked for a better stay at Clouds B&B. The only thing that could've improved it is if we would've stayed for more than one night. The room was absolutely stunning and the location is so peaceful. It was the perfect place to enjoy the splendour of Skye. Thank you for having us, and we hope to see you again soon.
Tips:We couldn't recommend Clouds B&B more. The Studio room was absolutely stunning. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed the terrace to its fullest, spending the evening watching the sunset and listening to the birds. The B&B is set in such a peaceful location, which is perfect to enjoy the splendour of Skye. We'll definitely be planning to return as soon as possible.

We had booked the Studio for mum and daughter, dad and son enjoyed a windy night in Benny the camper. The studio has a wonderful view over the meadows to the beach, also the camper had a lovely view from the bed into the countryside. Both room and camper were spotlessly clean! Our host Steve was very friendly and we had some really nice chats. We enjoyed this place for its tranquility and remoteness and wish Steve and his family all the best for their future.
Tips:Coming from Old man of Storr, we were plannig to visit Neist Point Lighthouse from here, but it was raining heavily that day, so we decided to head back to the Scottish "mainland" and spent the rest of the day in Eilean Donan Castle. Clouds B&B is a very beautiful place !

Though the weather was not very good at that time we had a very nice stay at Clouds B&B. The Nolan family is very nice, the apartment is lovely and very well furnished. We had a lot of fun listening music on the record player, "back to the 70's" for a while !!! We really appreciated to have a fridge and a dinning area so that we can have a light meal without going to the restaurant every night ! We just missed a warming device (not to cook but at least to warm a soup) ! Last point : breakfast may be improved a little bit, we were expecting local or home made products, especially as the description on your website suggests a real eco-responsible approach, which also involves food...
Tips:We went to the Uig Hotel twice, food was very good. Many things to do and see arround : Castles, Falls, Man of Storr, Quiraing... Regarding the location, be aware (though the place is amaizing) it is not very central and it could take time to travel through the south of the island. We definitely recommand Clouds !!!

A most beautiful retreat, Steve and Lorraine have created a little paradise to spend a vacation. The room was perfect in everyway, The continental breakfast was superb and plentiful,A comfortable bed to sleep in,a lovely bathroom and shower with all you need supplied,TV,fridge, sofa and a veranda with perfect coastal views, specially the misty sunrise and the beautiful sunsets. The peacefulness was just' What the doctor ordered '. we were originally going to visit for 10 days , but hospital appointment meant we could only come for 5 days much to our sorrow, and now too our disappointment. Steve was always available for help and tips. The Nolans have created a little haven for you to rest and relax, and we hope to be back to finish our tour of Skye. Thank you very much Steve and Lorraine.
Tips:There is a couple of hotels and a bar diner in Uig, only a 5 minute drive away. Easy to visit most part of the island , within an hours drive or less ,Duntulm viewpoint and fort is 15 miutes , Quiraing is 30 minutes ,Fairy Pools and Dunvegan Castle was a great day out, Don't forget to visit Fairy Glen 10 minute drive from guest house, on the edge of UIG , A beautiful little place.
