This was an absolutely lovely place to stay as a base camp for Skye and surrounding areas. The owners were also incredibly courteous and accommodating, making extra sure we were set up for a comfortable stay.
Tips:For those who don't mind going a bit off the beaten paths, Castle Dunscaith is a lovely seaside view with a great deal of history. Just make sure you're careful on those single-track roads.

Loved our stay here - had everything we needed. Comfortable bed, warm shower, wifi, safe parking space and close to the Skye bridge for adventures. Couldn't have asked for more. Met Michel who was very hospitable and welcoming. Highly recommend a stay here - we would love to come back.
Tips:On your way onto Skye - stop at Lean to Coffee house for something warm to drink and a delicious pastry to start your journey. We loved seeing the Old Man of Storr but our favourite was the Quiraing, Leath falls and An Corran Beach. Lots to see, do and eat!

Well laid out and convenient, I would suggest a sign to let pod people know that their parking is past the house and not to park in front of our glorious view in the bothy 😜
Tips:Get ready for a relaxing break… Plockton and Skye offer plenty to see, do, with delicious food around the corner. Best chip shop we’ve been to is in Plockton and we stay close to the famous award winning Anstruther chippy.

Great host, very warm welcome. Amazing drive through pretty village to pods. Amazing views from pod looking out to loch, uninterrupted views, photos don’t do it justice. We stayed 3 nights here on our tour of Scotland. This was perfect for us as a base to explore Isle of Skye. POD was very well equipped as well as beautiful decor, great WiFi and to package. So nice here we decided to stock up on food and drink & not go out for 1 day, as views so nice from hot tub and lounged around in comfort I would definitely come back here
Tips:Great places to visit on Isle of Skye, if you like hikes and scenery I’d recommend Quiraing ,old man of Storr, fairy glen and fairy pools Also close to Apple pass cross, the famous road with hair pin bends , but great views at the toy

Huge thanks for a wonderful stay. We both found the pod to be very clean, comfortable, well equipped and well maintained. Our hosts, whilst readily available for any queries were very discreet. The location was beautiful and a great base from which to explore further afield. The hot tub was also amazing! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
Tips:Plockton is well worth a visit. Lots of lovely walks and a lovely coffee shop with delicious cakes! Fisherman's Kitchen in Kyle serves delicious fresh seafood and fish - also worth a visit.

The pods are adorable with cute decor. The kitchenette is well-stocked for preparing small meals, especially breakfast and making sandwiches for lunch. We loved the hot tub and there were even robes and slippers. Our friends rented the other pod and we all could sit at the dining table , as well as visit on the deck together. The bed was comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. The owners were delightful and very helpful.
Tips:It was an easy drive to the Isle of Skye, as well is Elian Donan Castle. We picked up a few groceries at the Coop in Kyle. We enjoyed the little takeaway Harbour Fish Bar in Plockton.

Wow!!! I do not often write reviews, never mind when I am actually still ‘in residence’ but the Pods at Duirinish are simple, yet simply wonderful. A warm welcome by the host was the start of good things to come. The location above the village offers amazing views ‘over the sea to Skye’. The weather was not great but the rain and very strong winds only served to highlight the ‘cosiness’ of the Pod. The accommodation provided everything I needed for my stay. There is a private Hot Tub available but I didn’t have the time to enjoy this. Although the surrounding scenery would have made it a unique experience. for any Hot Tub enthusiasts. The weather kept me ‘indoors’ more than I planned. However, the Hi Spec quality TV offers an excellent range of channels. The simple facilities are difficult to criticise and are definitely value for money. I stayed alone on this occasion, but I will definitely return with my wife.
Tips:Great Chinese in Kyle!!!

Tips:Ideal location for exploring Plockton. Good walks and beach. The Croft cafe in Duirinish is very good with friendly staff. We enjoyed a meal at Plockton Inn and Plockton Hotel. Also Plockton fish& chip shop is good.

We had the MOST lovely time staying in the Applecross Pod. It was cozy and comfortable and we just loved it. We also loved doing the cow tour and eating at the Croft cafe. We were very happy here for three nights-wish we could have stayed longer. It was a magical place to visit, one of our favorites on our trip to Scotland. It felt a little bit like we were seeing something special, not as tourists but as guests. So thank you for that feeling.

Duirinish Pods were excellent. From the moment I booked I had good communication with owners. On arriving after a few hours drive from Edinburgh it rained all the way however it stopped when we got there . The sun came out we were met by the most spectacular view.Absolutely stunning .The pod itself was clean, and had everything we needed for our stay. The bed was very comfortable And the hot best I’ve been in for a long time. Robes were available The toiletries were a nice touch as were the welcoming biscuits We had the most relaxing time we were there 5 nights. And dogs were welcome too. We have one dog . The village itself is very pretty and people very friendly Owners were near at hand if needed however we didn’t need to contact them as everything perfect As the weather is variable outdoor clothing I’d say is essential. However we were lucky and only had a few showers but that’s Scottish weather for you
Tips:cafe in the village very good Near to sky and went to fairy pools beautiful Had a day in Applecross the trip up is amazing Eilan Doman castle near and worth a visit Very near Plockton Ate in The plockton hotel also very good and reasonable price Also went to coral beach at plockton and had a picnic There were places you good could buy eggs and home made jam and chutneys Remember to take some cash as you leave Money no card We went round Several art and crafts shops , Lots to buy Our last night we got fish and chips and ate on the sea front at Plockton There are boat trips and other things to do in plockton we were a bit restricted having a dog. But there are some good walks . Roaming free cattle and sheep so have to be mindful of you have a dog but it was lovely to see the cattle on the beach at Plockton We were only there 5 nights packed a lot in and but have come back home refreshed and recharged Missing those view though and the clean air Would definitely go back

I feel like 5 stars is not even close to covering how truly amazing our experience was. The location couldn’t have been in a better area, no matter where you turn you are greeted by the most surreal and beautiful views, everyone is super welcoming and super friendly it was so lovely to be able to talk quite the thing with anyone we crossed paths with! The pod was in top condition, as well as having loads of information provided for places to eat, places to see and just handy information we might need. You can tell Michael and his wife have put their heart and souls into their pods and bothy, it really shines through when you are there! I genuinely could not recommend staying there while on your travels enough because nothing in my opinion can beat it! Thank you again for the most amazing experience, we cannot wait to come back again soon and do it all over again!
Tips:the Kyle Chinese and chip shop are unreal and only just down the hill from the pod location! Personally I’d recommend getting yourself a pair of walking boots, wellies or trainers that you can throw away after adventures, the scenery is lovely and means if you want to climb up the hills you won’t get your shoes mocket. On the way into Kyle there’s a co-op that I highly recommend going to get some snacks and bits from, there is a fridge, hob and microwave so you can keep the food fresh and cook if needed! Highly recommend taking an adventure round Kyle to see the stunning views, taking a trip over to Skye because there’s lots to see! The fairy pools are overwhelmingly beautiful, make sure to stay hydrated because even though it might look cloudy it is warm as hell and wear spf!!

Hosts Margaret Anne and Michael were very welcoming, Pod was spotless clean and well equipped. The hot tub was amazing and a lovely touch that robes and slippers were provided. Views were stunning. A hidden gem close to shops and restaurants in Kyle and Plockton. Highly recommended to friends and family and already planning a return visit ourselves!! Many thanks for a wonderful stay, Tanya and Neil.

Absolutely wonderful. Beautiful views and a great relaxing soak after long days of hiking. Convenient not just to Skye, but also to Applecross, Eilean Donan Castle, and Attadale Gardens. Well signed from the road. Hosts were great and made the stay easy. Helpful booklet with local information and suggestions, too.

Hi Mike, it was a real pleasure to spend our holiday in your beautiful property! You welcomed us and our dog, Skye, so warmly, that we were so sad to leave. The location was perfect, the pod was very cosy and view from the decking, amazing! Of course the best bit was the log fired hot tub that helped us unwind after a long day spent trekking the hills! Even the weather held up! We would highly recommend Duirinish pods to anyone who wants to explore the Isle of Skye in 3 nights. Thank you, Michael for all the personal touches and help for making our stay a memorable one!

Very peaceful location with great view out to Loch Carron and Applecross, and the amazing ever changing sky as the Atlantic weather rolls in. The pods are very well equipped and the hosts couldn't be more friendly and helpful. Would definitely return.
Tips:Beautiful local walk from the pods along a bit of the coast and around by next village, Drumbuie. The village has a railway, so car left at home. You can even "commute" into Plockton on the train, with one returning after 8 in the evenings, if nobody wants to drive after enjoying a meal and drink or two in one of the local hostelries!

If you are looking for relaxation and to go into switch off mode, this is the place to stay. The pods are immaculate and of high standard. The pods have everything you need for your stay away. We stayed in January and the pod was lovely and cosy. The sky glass tv was perfect and the tv was a great size. The hot tub was heavenly and Michael was at hand to show us how to use it and he also ensured it was clean & heated each morning of our stay ready for use. The views are to die for!!! The village itself is beautiful and I took a lovely walk (via the main rd) to nearby Plockton (approx 2 miles) and enjoyed a wander and a coffee admiring the views. We highly recommend a stay in these beautiful pods and we definitely will return. Keep up the great work Michael & Margaret Ann. 👏👏👏

We cannot say enough about how good this place is! Set in a beautiful area, the pod was more luxurious than we expected. The owners made every effort to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. There are stunning views of the scenery looking out from the pod. The private hot tub experience was truly luxurious. There was a good enclosed area around the pod to exercise our little dog, and she played with the owner's friendly dog.
Tips:The Croft Cafe cafe in the village serves excellent food. Plockton is just a few miles away with its restaurants and attractions. Kyle is a few miles away in the other direction with a good Chinese takeaway and a good pizza takeaway. There is a Co-op Supermarket in Kyle if you wish to buy your own food to cook in the pod. Across the bridge on to Skye there are more good places to eat. You must tour Skye and experience the beauty of the island. The mainland on the other side of the loch north of Duirinish also has some really stunning scenery to explore.

We had the most amazing stay at Duirinish Pods! I booked this for my partners 30th birthday. Margaret-Ann and Michael were kind enough to decorate the pods with 30th banners, balloons and a bottle of Prosecco! The pod was so clean and cosy, it had everything in it we needed. Complimentary teacakes went down a treat too! We took our 2 spaniels with us, Margaret-Ann provided us with a sofa cover which was extremely helpful. The hot tub was amazing and always warmed ready for use. The robes, towels and slippers were great, made you feel even more at home. I packed a hair dryer but when we arrived there was already one there, so never needed to use mine. There’s also a handy folder in the pods with sample menu’s, places to see etc, we found this really useful. Couldn’t recommend this stay enough, we will definitely be back!
Tips:We visited the Fairy Pools which was very busy but still amazing to see! The path was a bit muddy so would recommend wearing boots or wellies. We also went to the Plockton Hotel for dinner - the food was amazing! Service wasn’t the best but they were very busy with a small amount of staff running the place. Just before we headed home on Sunday we went into the Croft Cafe which is a must visit! The food is all freshly made and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

I booked a pod for two nights as a surprise for my Husbands 40th and it did not disappoint !! The pods are really spacious inside , absolutely immaculate and very homely. Our hot tub was heated for our arrival and it was exactly what we needed after climbing two Munro’s. Margaret- Anne and Michael had kindly decorated the pod with banners and balloons and we had a bottle of Prosecco on ice. It was the perfect start to our stay at the pod. We travelled to Skye on the Saturday and climbed Blaven and again our hot tub was heated for coming home. We sat on the decking area in the mornings enjoying our coffee and breakfast with views over looking Skye, Scalpay and Rassay. Another highlight of the trip had to be the friendly neighbours in Duirinish village…….the highland cows! We loved how they roamed free around the village. It was also lovely to watch the deer come out in the evenings in the field behind us. We had a fantastic stay. Margaret- Anne and Michael really made you feel at home, very friendly !!! Good luck in your new business adventure . We will definitely be back! ☺️
Tips:As recommended by Margaret-Anne we had dinner at the Plockton Inn - a seafood restaurant. The food was outstanding and only a couple of miles in the car. Highly recommend !!!

Outside, there can't be a hot tub anywhere with a better view! Michelle and Michael made us very welcome, with tea, coffee, milk and shortbread awaiting our arrival and the hot tub fired up!
Tips:Nice local cafe, the Croft, but we didn't get a chance to visit. Details of good take aways in the pod. No shaver point in bathroom, so take an adaptor.
