The cottage of David & Margaret is fantastic: great location on top of the hill with magnificent views on a loch ! Clean, spacious, with all facilities, even a fireplace ! The decoration is cosy, and we can cook easily with all equipment, spices, etc. David & Margaret are very friendly ! They even offered us some chocolate and coffee from Skye to welcome us. What else could we expect ? We certainly recommand this home far from home, and hope we can come back in the future !

Absolutely wonderful cottage! It was equipped with everything we needed and more. Location is quiet with stunning views. We were so pleased with everything.

Portree is great for shopping. Hikes to the Quiraing, Neist Point, Coral Beach, and Old Man of Storr are all worth it.

Beautiful views, clean and comfortable home that we wish was our own. It’s at the end of a small road so it’s very quiet and safe feeling. We simply loved our stay.

We enjoyed hiking Caves of Gold which is an easy walk along the Basalt cliffs next to the sea.

Enjoyed our stay, cottage is clean and comfortable, everything you need is there. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway this is the place. Margaret has created a calm oasis on Skye.

It’s a quick trip into Portree, the Co-op for supplies and downtown for lunch or dinner. Boat tours available at the Portree wharf. Drive up to Uig and hike Quiraing, worth the effort. Visit the Uig Pottery studio, operated by 8 talented women.

Absolutely wonderful stay in this roomy well appointed house. So clean and welcoming. The views from all the rooms were lovely. Such a peaceful location with its serene views and sheep and little lambs. Everything we needed was provided. The beds were comfortable. Although we didnt use it, the fire and wood provided wasa nice bonus. Communication with our host was excellent.

A better cottage you couldn't wish to stay in. The facilities excellent and every room very spacious with an all round panoramic view.

I was amazed how busy Skye is and yet right on your doorstep there is a footpath that takes you to a minor road leading to Aird Point and Loch Snizort. On this walk we saw Cuckoos and a variety of birds, on the shoreline Seals and in the Loch a Black Throated Diver. A short distance away at Skeabost Memorial Hall/Penmore a Pictish Stone and Columba's Island linked by a bridge with a ruined church and the graves of Bishops of the Isles and Clan Chieftains.

We are so happy we chose to stay in this beautiful home rather than in Portree. It completely exceeded our expectations. Meticulously clean, gorgeous scenery, quiet, -everything was spectacular!

Old Man Storr hike, waterfalls along the coast, Fairy pools, several castles/ruins. Beautiful scenery everywhere.

An amazing cottage in a breathtaking location. We had all the facilities we needed in the accommodation and the owner made the stay so easy with very helpful messages and tips to optimise our stay.

Very helpful pre-stay comments and swift replies to queries. Clear, useful arrival instructions Good to find basic cooking supplies such as salt and oil. And plenty of toilet paper, hand wash etc Cosy heating arrangements and ability to adjust if needed. We particularly liked being to light the wood burner.

Hill Cottage was stunning. The bedrooms and sitting room views were spectacular. The cottage (construction, appliances, decor, etc) were well thought out. Clean. Perfect.

Be prepared for single-track roads. Points-of-interest are not well signed. Owner provided postage-code coordinate of the cottage location (made it easy for our bad GPS to locate).

Communication was excellent throughout, everything you would need was there, wonderful setting overlooking the loch and perfectly sited fir exploring the island, warm and welcoming cottage, would definately recommend with no hesitation, and enjoyed being back on Skye

Coral beach is a must, a bit of a walk but well worth it. Neist point, meal out at Bernsdale Inn we’re very very good, but must book in advance, many more dotted around for you to go to

The house is in a great location and starting point to head out and explore Skye. It's homely, warm and absolutely spotless. It is well equipped with all utensils you need for self catering and has a washing machine which was great having 2 young kids with us. The hosts were lovely and answered any questions we had promptly. Can't wait to return.

Be prepared for all weathers - don't forget your suncream and water proofs! The whole of Skye is beautiful but Fairy Glen and The Fairy Pools are favourites of ours!

Great location, and everything was provided for a comfortable stay which we really appreciated. Margaret was responsive and ensured we were able to contact her if we needed anything which was very reassuring. This is a great cottage and well equipped to a high standard.

Apart from the usual tourist attractions such as the Old Man of Storr etc, try Talisker Bay and Glen Brittle for a coastal scene and walks. We also found Fairy Glen which is just outside Uig (not to be confused with the Fairy pools) This is a fantastic aray of mounds from the aftermath of volcanic activity.

The cottage was perfect for our stay, only 15 mins from Portree and allowing easy access to the North end of Skye.

Plenty of restaurants in easy reach, booking essential ! A walk to up to the Storr and The Quiraing are recommended depending on fitness levels. The Fairy Glen is a magical oplace and not too busy or too strenuous.

We stayed for a week and loved every minute. The cottage is very well kept, great facilities and in a brilliant location with a great view, relative silence, but only a 10 minute drive to Portree with whatever shops and services you need. Communication with the owners was easy and there is a great information package provided in the cottage. The cost was also very good value compared to other cottages on the island of similar spec.

Skeabost hotel is only 5 minutes down the road if you fancy fine dining or a round of 9 holes. The location gives you great access to everywhere in the north end of the island, whether its to Dunvegan castle, Neist Point lighthouse, Uig or hiking up to Storr, Quiraing or a more leisurely one to the Fairy Glen.

Hill Cottage was amazing. It had everything we needed and wanted for our stay. The area was so peaceful and the views were spectacular.

If you want to book a table at one of the numerous fantastic restaurants on Skye, it is a good idea to book well in advance, at least 3 months.

Table capacity is still a bit limited at the moment but should be back to normal in the near future hopefully. That said, always book in advance if at all possible.

The fabulous house is in an amazing sea view location about 10mls northwest from Portree, the main town on the island where you can get all the food supplies you require also does gift shops pubs & cafes etc as well boat trips. Everything is supplied for an extremely comfortable stay. The beds were very comfortable and as it’s in a nice quiet location you get l lovely nights sleep ready to tour the Island. Unfortunately for us the weather was not so kind-You don’t call ithe Misty Island for nothing!!!

Most of the roads are single track so have a designated driver to change with whilst the passengers can admire the views as these narrow demanding roads require full attention especially when we were there it was extremely busy. Enjoy Skye and definitely Hill Cottage. Thank You David & Margaret.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 5 nights. The cottage is in a lovely location. We loved sitting in the window sill with a cup of tea and admiring the view. When it wasn't raining, we had a nice start to the day eating breakfast on the bench. The facilities were really good and we thought the appliances were of good quality. The cottage was really clean and there were plenty of towels and bedding. The host were friendly and there was excellent communication.

You've probably already started researching what to. There's nothing we could add other than take your time, explore and enjoy!

Park Cottage is situated in Bernisdale which is ideally placed for easy access to Dunvegan, The Quiraing and The Old Man of Storr etc. It was clean and very well equipped with everything you would need. It has lovely views over river Snizort. Margaret and David were very prompt with replies to any questions and kindly provided a shed for us to store our bikes.

Park Cottage was a lovely place to stay very cosy and comfortable with a spectacular view. You can tell the owners love for the house. We had a great 3 night stay. The cottage is located in a quiet end of a road but central for all places of interest you can visit by car. Margaret was very flexible with the booking as we were coming out of lockdown and extremely helpful and friendly throughout our booking and stay.

Excellent pre and post visit communication - cottage terrific.

Popular tourist locations - VERY busy. Getting gluten free food is difficult. The bakery in Portree is good though. Dunvegan hotel was good for lunch - and managed social distancing etc. very well.

Such a perfect spot, easily accessible from the main road but you wouldn't know it. Even with the windows open all you could hear was the sheep on the other side of the loch. Couldn't recommend this cottage more, if i ever return to skye, it'll be here.

Went during coronavirus so can't comment on anything but the stunning walks and landscape, I didn't feel like i missed out.
