Our stay at Morar Bed and Breakfast on the Isle of Skye was absolutely wonderful! The location is perfect, offering breathtaking sea views and access to a private beach, making our time there feel truly special. One of the highlights was seeing their free-roaming chickens in the large field, which produced the most amazing fresh eggs that we enjoyed for breakfast—such a treat! The room was beautifully decorated, clean, and comfortable, with cozy bathrobes that added a touch of luxury. After exploring the island, we loved relaxing by the fireplace in the sitting area, and the indoor heated swimming pool was a fantastic bonus. The hospitality we experienced was second to none. On our last evening, we were lucky enough to join the hosts on the terrace for a few glasses of whiskey, listening to some incredible life stories. It was such a memorable, personal experience that made us feel truly welcomed. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway with stunning views, fresh local food, and hosts who go above and beyond, Morar Bed and Breakfast is the perfect choice. We can't wait to return!
Tips:Tips for Other Travelers: Just a few minutes' walk from the B&B is a fantastic local pub where we had a delicious dinner and plenty of drinks. We spent the evening chatting with some incredibly friendly locals and playing a few games of pool—it was such a fun, authentic experience! The locals are great friends with the B&B owners, and the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. If you’re looking to experience the warmth and charm of the area, this pub is a must-visit. If you're seeking a peaceful retreat with stunning views, fresh local food, warm hospitality, and friendly locals, Morar Bed and Breakfast is the place to be.

A fabulous place stay on the lovely Isle of Skye. Home from home for a solo traveller who just wants to take time out as I was on this occasion. A very warm welcome from Janey, Kev and all the animals. Great accommodation. I stayed for 4 nights and could have stayed there a lot longer as I met some lovely people. I highly recommend this B & B and I will certainly return.
Tips:The local inn is within walking distance and is friendly. An excellent establishment for food and refreshments. There is also a local shop. Great walking in the area. The B & B is located very near to the Mallaig/Armadale ferry.

Fantastic location, comfortable bed/room, great hosts, excellent breakfasts. Even the dog and cats friendly and welcoming! Only complaint: too short a stay! Highly recommended.
Tips:A bit short on dinner opportunities within walking distance (only the hotel). Good daytime cafe and craft shops at harbour, and local general store with friendly and helpful staff.

It was a great pleasure to stay there. The host is polite, friendly and funny. I'm sure he is down for a good talk if you'd like to but in general you won't see him too much and you have all the privacy you like. The facilities are great. Lovely interior and well decorated. Same is with the common room. The location offers a great view. It is a real quite place. The breakfast has to be particularly highlighted. We tried nearly evertyhing and all was delicious. The eggs are from his own chicken wich live free on the property and the milk is also fresh. He prepares your breakfast as per your wishes in meal and time. I can only thank the hosts for this beautiful experience and highly recommend this B&B.
Tips:If you like to have a fresh tapped pint, there is a hotel with a bar nearby.

We really enjoyed our stay at Morar Bed and Breakfast. The host was very friendly and helpful. He cooked a really nice breakfast in the morning and provided us with info and tips about the isle of Skye. The accommodation itself is very clean the bed was comfy and the facilities really good. They even have a heated swimming pool! Which we did not use in the end, but if we come back someday, we definitely will. All in all, a really nice, comfortable and cozy experience.
Tips:The property of the B&B is quite big, so in the backyard there is a walk towards the coast. Definitely worth taking this small walk.

This place went over and above what we expected to make our stay comfortable. While we needed to use our ramps to get in, the interior was open and easy to navigate with a wheelchair. Tips:Not a great location for evening eating if you have a dog. Local pub only allowed dogs in Bothan Bar which had a pool table, no tables suitable for eating and loud inebriated local. In fairness, the barman did suggest games room to eat in which was OK but we were the only people in there so not much atmosphere. My husband and I LOVED our stay with Kev and Janey. Our room was very comfortable, roomy, and attractive. The breakfast choices are abundant. We had traditional Scottish breakfasts that were beautifully prepared and kept us fueled for the day. Kevan and Janey who own the B&B and are lovely people. We arrived late as under estimated the journey, which meant we did not get a chance to eat dinner. Kevan kindly gave us left over home made pizza slices, as we were so hungry. The breakfast choices are great and all are home made. We enjoyed our stay, just a shame we could not stay longer.
Tips:Driving in the dark along windy roads is not easy and personally did not enjoy this. If this is true for you, set off early to get back to the B&B. Also ensure you book or find somewhere that you can eat dinner, as many places close early and do not deliver. We enjoyed visiting Portree, the Fairy Pools and doing the hike up the Old Man of Stor. If we had more time I would have loved to do the walk to the shore from the back of the B&B and visiting Dunvegan Castle. But if you are short of time, just driving around the Isle of Skye is breath taking and you will want to keep stopping to take pictures of the landscapes that surrounds you.

We couldn't have asked for more welcoming and hospitable hosts. We had a first class stay at the B&B. Nothing was too much trouble for Kevin & Janey who made our 10 year old daughter and 2 golden retrievers feel very much at home. A swim in the pool was great when the weather was bad! The breakfast was amazing and catered for everyone's tastes with delicious homemade fruit compotes, museli and jams as well as full cooked breakfasts. Fresh eggs were also a bonus!
Tips:Ferry to Maillaig and drive to Sands of Morar & Arisaig, beautiful beaches as well as dolphins! Ring road drive Tarskavaig & Ord bay, wonderful views of the Bla Bheinn & Cuillin Ridge. A chance to paddle in Ord and a visit to Dunscaith Castle. Evening meal at Inn at Aird a Bhasir, wonderful staff and food! Armadale Castle.

We wish we could have stayed several more days with Kev and Janey. The property is beautiful, breakfast delicious and great hospitality. A very warm and enjoyable experience. How life should be lived ;-)
Tips:We stayed in Mallaig one night, which is also a cute town worth seeing, and due to our late booking were only able to have one night on the isle. Need to stay longer next time. Also, fyi, Don't count on the island bus schedule that's listed on google. Taxis were also booked for 4 hours out, so catching a train in kyle of lachalsh was a challenge. A car would be a big advantage for sightseeing and travel.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Morar Bed & Breakfast on the beautiful Isle of Skye, and we cannot praise this charming establishment enough. From the moment we arrived, we was welcomed like a cherished family member, and the warm hospitality provided an exceptional and memorable experience. The heartwarming atmosphere at Morar Bed & Breakfast is truly unparalleled. Host Kev, who treats every guest with genuine care and attention, made us feel right at home from the very beginning. His passion for ensuring a delightful stay shines through in every interaction, creating an inviting and cozy environment. One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional breakfast experience. Each morning, we were treated to a mouthwatering spread that included freshly baked bread, homemade jams and eggs sourced directly from the chickens in the garden. The farm-to-table approach not only enhanced the flavor of the breakfast but also added a personal touch that made every meal truly special. It was a true delight to savor such wholesome and delicious food to start our day. The accommodation at Morar Bed & Breakfast was equally impressive. The room offered a tranquil and comfortable retreat. The attention to detail in the interior decor, combined with the serene surroundings, created a peaceful ambiance that ensured a restful night's sleep. Waking up to the gentle sounds of nature (two roosters) and the picturesque views of the garden was a truly rejuvenating experience. The location of Morar Bed & Breakfast also is perfect for those seeking to catch the ferry to Mallaig. Its proximity to the ferry terminal allows for quick and convenient access, making it an ideal choice for travelers planning to explore the surrounding areas. The host was more than happy to provide helpful tips and directions, ensuring a smooth and stress-free journey. What truly sets Morar Bed & Breakfast apart is the personal touch and warmth that Kev and his family bring to every aspect of the stay. He readily shared his knowledge of the Isle of Skye, recommending hidden gems and must-visit locations. His genuine care and enthusiasm made us feel like part of his extended family, creating a lasting impression that we will cherish. In summary, Morar Bed & Breakfast on the Isle of Skye offers an exceptional experience where guests are welcomed with open arms. We highly recommend Morar Bed & Breakfast to anyone seeking a heartfelt and memorable stay on the enchanting Isle of Skye.

After coming home from Australia for the first time in 4 years and bringing my girlfriend on her first trip to Scotland we recently had the pleasure of staying at Morar B&B on Skye and I cannot recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived which was late, the hosts Kevin and Janey made us feel incredibly welcome. They were warm, friendly, and incredibly hospitable. They even graciously allows us to eat our takeaway food we had despite how late it was which we were incredibly grateful for When we arrived we where greeted by Janey who showed us around and made us feel at home instantly She was quick to tell us about the property and the surroundings which was a pleasant relief after a long day In the morning we enjoyed conversations with Kevin over breakfast he was incredibly knowledgeable and a great conversationist he recommended and fantastic gin distillery which we visited after leaving and purchased a lovely bottle of dry gin from Skye The food served at breakfast was absolutely delicious and a great way to start the day. Everything served was either locally sourced or homemade From the Jams to the breads or the tatties scones it was all delicious. The B&B itself is beautiful, with extremely comfortable rooms and stunning views. The attention to detail is evident throughout the property, from the tasteful decor to the little touches that make you feel right at home. The bedding and pillows were particularly comfortable which gave us a great sleep Overall, we had a fantastic stay at Morar B&B on Skye and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The hosts, the food, and the beautiful surroundings make it the perfect place to set out from and explore everything the beautiful island of Skye has to offer. Unfortunately for us we couldn’t book another night with Kev or Janey as they where fully booked which is testament to how good their place is However we will definitely be back next time we visit from Australia! Tips:The Sleat pamphlet gives a lot of useful local information, including the local walks. There are some magnificent trees in the Armadale Castle gardens. The Ardvasar Inn has good food. There are excellent exhibitions by artists at An Talla Dearg gallery at Eilean Iarmain. I suggest visitors do local things instead of driving all around the island, using petrol and causing traffic problems on the roads. Good choice of food for the breakfast, both Porridge and Full Scottish were very delicious, all either home made, home grown or locally sourced ingredients.
Tips:Take note of where Kevan recommends as the route to the western point 'Aird of Sleat' is quite spectacular. (minds the coos!!). Its about a 5 mile round walk and you will need decent walking boots. The local pub, which is only 10 minute walk from the B&B sell good food.

Fantastic facilities and hosts. Room was extremely comfortable with everything we needed. Lots of breakfast options, all freshly made. All furnishings, towels, bedding and food were of a high quality. Really felt they had gone the extra mile to make us feel at home.
Tips:If you want to eat at the local pub, you need to book in advance. We ate at the Red Skye restaurant in Broadford and would definitely recommend it. The nearby Armadale Castle is worth a visit but there’s loads to see and do on Skye.

What a fabulous place to stay. Lovely people, so welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was fantastic - all home made local food, and the owners even cooked some of the fish we caught for us to eat. Extremely clean, quiet and the facilities great. Stunning location, with its own rocky beach front. Ideal for families in particular. Wow - we'll be back!
Tips:Highly recommend fishing off the pier at Armadale, the food at Claymore (whilst the location not brilliant) was next level. Well worth dinner at the EILEAN IARMAIN - was great too. Loads to do - Skye is spectacular. Bring Smidge and cross everything for good weather.

Morar Bed and Breakfast represents the very best of what Skye has to offer, a wonderful location, welcome, facilities and genuine warmth. We had a lovely time and would not hesitate to recommend, we will return.
Tips:Do not underestimate the attractions of the South end of the Isle of Skye. So many cliche must see places are located in the North of Skye and this sometimes means that Sleat "the garden of Skye" can be a little bit quieter and offer a wonderful all round experience. Slow down, see less and enjoy more really does work.

Kev and Janey run a fantastic B and B. The breakfast is sensational and puts a hotel spread to shame. The touches and facilities in the room are well thought out and everything is of quality and very comfortable. My kids loved the indoor pool. I highly recommend you stay here.
Tips:The location of the B and B is fantastic, on a quieter end of the island with some of the best places nearby...some great restaurants and distilleries; walks and beaches...I personally loved the drive to Elgol where we went for a boat tour, and all the stops along the way and fun too..some great little eateries for a quick bite with a view. The island is big, so pick a few things to do and enjoy, otherwise, you will be driving around all day.

Great location on the Sleat penninsula, friendly family home. Excellent food locally-sourced with much homemade [bread, jams etc] and the chickens who laid the eggs visible beyond the terrace. Such a treat to be able to swim before breakfast! Comprehensive and well-thought-out covid precautions meant we felt as safe as possible.
Tips:Consider booking if you plan to eat at the Ardvasar Hotel [the dining option within 5 minutes' walk] as they have some staffing issues which are currently reducing their capacity even below that mandated by covid distancing.

Very COVID conscientious. Very warm, friendly, and helpful. Nice facilities. Very clean.
Tips:Beautiful scenery from location. Make sure to go out to the rocky beach at the edge of the property. We loved exploring there with the kids. They also loved seeing the chicken and sheep and running around outdoors. There’s a decent pub about a 5-10 minute walk from the house. We found it easy enough to travel around the isle for the day from the location, though it is a bit further in. Isle of Sleat is worth seeing.

Lovely place to stay. Breakfast was excellent, with nice extras e.g home made preserves. Everything was a very high standard and extremely clean. Great care was taken to keep everyone safe re COVID. Janey and Kev were perfect hosts - happy to help suggest places to eat and sights to see. They also went the extra mile to assist us with our car issues. We would highly recommend staying at Morar.
Tips:Far from the ‘madding crowds’ on the island. Loved the peace and quiet! We had our evening meal in the local Inn a couple of times and enjoyed the food. It’s a handy walk back home. Also had a take-away pizza once in Broadford. This was delicious, so thin and crispy. Drive to Fairy Pools was too busy and provided a pleasant walk but water falls are not that dramatic. We preferred the walk to Point of Sleat and a gorgeous little white sandy bay. Much less crowded.

Morar B&B has a beautiful location on a croft that goes down to the shore. The view from the back terrace is just stunning. The owners are a lovely couple who took 5 years to find their dream location on Skye and have definitely succeeded. Our room was tastefully decorated with water and tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom was spotless with a roomy shower. Our breakfast was generous with fresh eggs from their own chickens. They also had two sheep called Harris and Tweed! Children would love to visit this B&B. There is a swimming pool but we didn't avail ourselves of this facility. All in all we had a lovely time and would definitely visit again. We wished we had booked for more than one night.
Tips:We had dinner at a local bar and restaurant just 5 minutes walk down the road called the Ardvasar hotel. Our food was excellent and good value for money. We left the next day and the drive from the B&B was so beautiful along the coast. We want to come back in the summer months and do some exploring on foot.

I am really glad that I have made a great decision staying with Kev and his family. Janey made an effort for an extra bed for my younger son so that my 2 boys can sleep comfortably throughout the night. We enjoy the scenery from the balcony of the house, it's a pity that we can't walk to the beach as it was wet during winter times. Will definitely return in summer in future. Worried that we would be caught in the rain and lost our way the first night, Kev waited for us at the bus stop. The kind man even offered to drive us to the bus-stop the next morning to catch a bus to Portree, and a ride to the ferry terminal on our last day. We love their hall, the fire place makes it cozy, I really feel like being in a fairytale house (I mean we do not have fireplace in Singapore). Homemade bread and jams were served in the morning, while fruits were left there for the guests to help themselves. My younger son loves talking to Kev, and he came back to the room telling us that Kev and Janey have how many chickens and sheep etc. The property itself is a place of attraction according to my husband, which I totally agreed.

Location was perfect for us but then we are very familiar with the area. Plenty of parking, well equipped room, friendly, knowledgeable host. Fab breakfast with home made preserves made from home grown fruits, eggs from the family hens- of which there are many.
Tips:Ardvassar hotel/pub nearby good for evening meals and just a short stroll away. Fishng off the pier at Armadale nearly always promises a catch. Good walk to the Point of Sleat from Aird just further up the hill with great views to the mainland ( and sightings of the Jaocbite Steam train as it arrives in Mallaig) and a lovely seculded beach at the bottom of the dip near the point. Armadale Castle has pleasant gardens, a good playground and a museum. New distillery nearby with a fairly easy walk out the back of their property to Knock Castle (5-10 minute walk) with good views, on a clear day, across the Sound of Sleat to Knoydart.

Chelsee and I had such a fantastic stay. It didn't feel like we were staying in a B&B but instead were staying with family on the island. The rooms were perfect, the fireplace and community room were great for unwinding, and breakfast was amazing. Morar B&B was a highlight of our trip and we highly recommend it to future guests.
Tips:The Inn down the road from the B&B offered a good variety of food and drinks and the best prices we found during our trip. Further down the road, just past the ferry, is Armadale Castle and Gardens, another option for food and offering a great walk through the woods and past the castle ruins.

Lovely cosy bed and breakfast, lovely people and in a beautiful location. The kids loved the swimming pool and playing with the two little girls and the cats! Lovely tasty breakfast.
Tips:I would not recoomend the Ardvasar hotel, better to go the the EI hotel as it is locally known. We had a lovely meal there in the cosy bar. The museum at the Clan Donald centre is worth a visit and they are very welcoming to children. The soft play between Broadford and Portree is small but good for a rainy day. My youngest loved the very small but interesting dinosaur museum at Staffin.

We had a wonderful stay at Morar B&B - with my parents, husband, and toddler. The rooms were lovely and comfortable, with a wonderful view and quiet, peaceful location. We really appreciate all of the accommodations for our little one. Breakfast was impressive and delicious!
Tips:We had a great dinner at Eilean Iarmain Inn on Sleat; low-key seating with ordering at the bar, but the food was finely prepared and delicious. Our hosts did our laundry for a small fee, which was a huge help with a toddler mid-way through our road trip.

The Morar B & B is located in a stunning location. The property is on the water with access to the coastline and tide pools. The cleanliness was outstanding, the facilities completely adequate including an indoor pool. The hosts are delightful people who are happy to share local information and give guidance for things to do on Skye. We enjoyed our interactions with the hosts most of all. We opted to have sack lunches made for our day trips and were always pleased with the choice. Lots of fresh food for breakfast and lunch - they bake their own bread daily and have chickens for fresh eggs. Absolutely recommend this B & B for anyone visiting the Isle of Skye.
Tips:The Advarsar hotel (5 minute walk from Morar) was out favorite place to eat. Armadale castle is just up the road, provides some local history as well as beautiful grounds and hiking. The ferry from Mallaig docks in Advarsar just a couple of minutes from the Moror but we drove the Northern route over Skye bridge and stopped at Eileen Donan castle on the way.

Fantastics, Morar and Skye !! A big thank you for the absolute courtesy of Kev and Janey. They were very very kind to us. We had a nice stay in this b & b, and we enjoyed everything (products, tranquility, cleanliness, etc.). I will certainly return to Skye, I hope with less rain and more sun, but even with this weather it is very very beautiful
Tips:To see absolutely Neist Point, Quiraing, The Storr, Dunvegan Castle. They are lovely places !! Not to be missed. There is not much choice for restaurants near Morar. I recommend Bradford the Claymore, excellent fish dishes. More touristy Portree, Uig to Visit. Attention to roads, very narrow and drive with extreme caution. !!

More than a place to lay your head - a memorable experience. We were only able to be at Morar for a night, would definitely stay longer next time. Beautifully decorated rooms and spacious washroom - tasteful, upscale decor, looks brand new. Many professional touches, extensive breakfast menu, including my first locally smoked kippers (with Kev's help de-boning) delicious! Spacious common room with a warm fire, gardens bursting with colourful blooms, a swim in the indoor pool, a walk to the ocean through the yard, a huge terrace...seriously! Friendly, knowledgeable hosts.

The location of Morar B and B cannot be beat. It is secluded, walking distance to a hotel that serves decent pub grub and adjacent to the coast where you can poke around in the tide pools. Three nights was not enough for us and we hope to return some day for more.

I have never been so quickly in love with a place to visit as Morar B&B. Kev and Janey welcomed our family into theirs immediately. We loved it so much, we would have extended our stay if they had had the room for us. The rooms were gorgeous and exquisitely clean. The property is spectacular, stretching down to the most beautiful little rocky cove. We spent a whole day doing nothing but relaxing in the lounge, playing on the rocks on the beach, and helping with the chickens. We. Loved. The. Chickens. The chickens are not only lovely and entertaining, but they provide the base for the excellent breakfasts Janey makes each morning. Even if you are a carnivore, try the veggie sausages. She also makes her own bread and jams, which are divine. She makes a wonderful packed lunch if you book ahead of time- perfect for taking with you on day trips. We are already talking about coming back to Morar next year to spend 4-5 days, because we loved the location and our hosts that much. Both Kev and Janey are just lovely to talk to- I could have chatted with them all day if it wouldn’t have kept them from their work. This is the kind of place where I would pay them to let me work in their garden, feed the chickens, bake fresh bread, and play games with their kids. It’s the kind of place that makes you appreciate fresh eggs, tide pools, firey sunsets, double rainbows, fires at night, and good company. You’ll feel grounded and rested after a stay here.
Tips:Book a packed lunch ahead of time with Janey, and take the drive up to the fairy pools for a good day trip. You can also get to Portree and Broadford easily. If you are willing to venture a bit farther, Dunvegan Castle has seal watching trips. All that said, I strongly recommend you take a day to relax at the B&B. Stroll up the driveway to visit Julia- an incredible, local artists who’s seascapes are fantastic and capture the incredible colors of Skye. The tapas at Gastas at the Armadale castle is delicious, and we had two dinners at the Ardvasar Hotel and bar- which were both very good (try the sticky toffee pudding with salted caramel ice cream). Ask to feed the chickens and if you are at all inclined to garden, as Kev to take you around the property and show you all of their gardens and vegetables. The Armadale Castle, museum and gardens are worth the visit. And, if you see some Harris Tweed you love at Armadale- buy it. You’ll find the brand all over Scotland, but each shop has different patterns and stock. I’d recommend you rent a car for ease of getting around (you can walk to Ardvasar, Armadale and Julia’s), or ask Kev and Janey for recommendations on car hire.

We would consider this the best bed and breakfast place we have stayed at anywhere. The owners are very friendly and helpful and the place is beautifully maintained. Breakfast is excellent. They even have their own private bit of coast where a Great Northern Diver swam close the first evening. It is well suited for the sw of Skye rather than the main northern part but it is a beautiful area with Golden eagles and other wildlife and great scenery. We would definitely like to return.
Tips:The local pub/hotel is the only place within walking distance for an evening meal. They don’t take bookings but it works ok if you go early. Their menu is fine, but limited. If you don’t mind driving there are other places but at a bit of a distance. For great views and only a short drive, go west along the peninsula or drive the ‘loop’ to the north east.

Breakfast was wonderful - fresh, collected that morning eggs, bacon and everything else you could possibly want. Wonderful talk round the table with fellow guests. Didn't try the swimming pool although sorely tempted - the weather had been really hot.
Tips:Really convenient for the ferry to Mallaig. Ardvassar Castle and gardens worth a visit, as is a visit to Isle of Ornsay village where there is a good art gallery and a lovely pub/hotel overlooking the Sound. Rather than taking the bridge from the mainland try the ferry crossing at Kylerhea - the boat is an old but perfect gem run by the local community.

We felt very welcome by every member of this lovely family, we were lucky to eat the eggs of the chicken in the backyard for breakfast, and other lovingly cooked treats by our wonderful hosts ! Perfect location for a family vacation with my mother and my 2yo daughter ! We were sad to leave and feel blessed to have met them !
Tips:Within walking distance of the Armadale restaurant for the evenings ! Close to the ferry (convenient). Lots to see on the peninsula, close to the B&B, but maybe a bit far to explore the rest of the island !

We found Kevan andJaney.really helpful and friendly. (Thanks for the lift to the ferry and posting backAli’s iPad) It was good to have the log fire in the lounge and the pool and walk through the garden to the beach. The breakfast was great!
Tips:We enjoyed visiting Armadale Castle gardens and museum. We followed one of the nature trails through woods up to a viewpoint. It’s about a 20 minute walk from Morar. We had dinner at the local hotel where the staff were friendly and visited small cafe and gift shops by the ferry

The Morar Bed and Breakfast is one of the most beautiful and cofortable places I have ever been!! The owners are so friendly and helpful!! And you have to taste their breakfast, I can´t tell how delicious it was!! :D
Tips:To have more opportunities of what to see on the Isle of Skye a car is very helpful because going by bus isn´t that easy! But around Armadale you can also have great walks along the coast and visiting the Armadale castle with its museum about the history of the clan McDonald, the clans in general and the Scottish history is very recommendable!!

Really fabulous establishment. Beautifully furnished, excellent bedrooms/bathrooms, very high standard. Spotlessly clean. Lovely location and views. Extraordinarily helpful and friendly owners. Super breakfast. Numerous lovely touches in every area. Cant find a single fault or even recommendation. We own hotels in London so are quite critical but this place was truly wonderful. And not as expensive as it should have been !
Tips:Isle of Skye is an amazing and unique island. Take or hire bicycles to really enjoy the island. Local restaurant in another hotel (Aardvaar I believe) served a delicious fish dinner, in cosy surroundings and very friendly and attentive staff. The B & B is literally minutes from the ferry port at Armadale so a good start/end for any holiday moving around the island. But Sleat (the surrounding area) is breathtaking in itself .

Loved staying in this lovely B&B. The owners were super helpful, the room/home was beautiful and no need went unmet.
Tips:There is only one restaurant in Armdale that is within walking distance. I used the bus during my time there, so it limited my options for eating out and exploration due to the limited bus schedule. Recommend having a car so that you're not limited in your adventures.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Janie and Kev. They went above and beyond to help make our stay outstanding, which is not easy to do when traveling with a toddler! They were so lovely and made us feel incredibly welcome. Their home is beautiful, comfortable, and clean with outstanding views. And as many other reviewers have stated, the breakfasts are incredible! We are so very grateful to you guys for your warm hospitality. Already looking forward to our next stay! All the best, Heather, Ian, & Shelby

We really enjoyed our brief stay at your fantastic location overlooking the Sound of Sleat. Your Oyster Catchers on the beach were fun to see and hear. The indoor pool looked really inviting. But most of all I really appreciated my conversation with Kev. It was our pleasure meeting you and the children.
Tips:Of course the Armadale Castle and Museum of Clan Donald iis amazing. For those inclined to multi-course dining, the Kinloch Lodge only a 10-15 drive away, is an incredible experience. The setting along with delicious foods, were wonderful. It is costly but well worth it.

My wife, 2 daughters and I stayed with Janey and Kev and had a wonderful time. The property is in an incredible location, with the view from the patio being worth the price alone. We ended up spending more time on the property than we originally expected due to the pure natural beauty, access to an incredible rocky beach, and the onsite chickens which needed feeding and egg collecting.
Tips:We stayed in the Sleat area of Skye, which is much less crowded than the northern, more popular areas. There are a couple places to eat within walking distance of the property, including the Advarsar Hotel which has a great pub. Exploring the Ord Loop road was amazing, including the rulns of Dunscaith Castle.

Janey and Kev were great hosts, nothing was to much trouble, and they were available if needed. We were made to feel very welcome and it was a lovely, relaxing place to stay. The accommodation was very clean, comfortable and well furnished, (loved the decor in the lounge). We would certainly recommend!
Tips:It was nice to be able to use the garden and loved the walk down through the garden to the sea. The chickens were fun to watch and the cats friendly. Janey and Kev have a picnic table in the garden over looking the sea, that we used one evening. We liked the fact that the guests were able to sit together at breakfast around one big table. Janey and Kev provide a lounge with fabulous views, books and games if needed. Good location lots of walks and places to visit.

I had a truly wonderful stay. You've created a B&B with a real homey feel. The breakfasts were excellent, and it was lovely to be able to use the terrace, garden and guest lounge. Janey even leant me her bike, which was very kind. I'm glad I used the swimming pool - I think a lot of people intend to, but don't get around to it! Thanks for an excellent time on Skye.
Tips:If you're on foot (as I was) it can be tough to find evening food, unless you go to the hotel nearby. I wasn't crazy about the food at the hotel, so I enjoyed an early fish and chip dinner at the Shed (cafe near the ferry terminal). Also, the lunches at the Stables Cafe are brilliant. I recommend the nature walk in the grounds of the Clan Donald castle.

The most stunning location; Very welcoming, friendly, family oriented hosts; tranquil surroundings and access to the shore, a delight for all nature lovers and those seeking a peaceful spot away from the tourist hot-spots; and a swimming pool!
Tips:Take the scenic route (14 miles of single track road) to visit Elgol to view the Cuillins - and a boat trip to really enjoy their splendor. Avoid the Faery Pools and The Old Man of Storr, unless you enjoy the company of all the other tourists on the island!

Tips:The Morar is a really lovely place to stay. Our room was really cozy and beautifully decorated. Great shower/tub. Although we didn't get to use it the indoor heated pool is a huge plus. Breakfast was excellent with homemade jams and eggs fresh from the familys chickens. Just a lovely place to chill. Wish we could have stayed longer.
