Upon entering the Strathgorm, my first reaction was "we should have stayed here for our entire three days on Skye". The home is truly beautiful, warm, and cozy. Our room was spacious with a beautiful view, comfortable beds, and the best shower of our trip! Upon arrival we were served coffee and tea with sweet treats, and had the opportunity to get to know our hostess. I loved exploring the hallways and seeing all the little touches that made it feel like home - so many lovely local watercolors on the walls! Breakfast the next morning was delicious and got us on our way. I would highly recommend Strathgorm to anyone visiting Skye or the area around Broadford. It is a warm and wonderful B&B with a beautiful view and gracious hosts.

A very warm welcome from Neil then Alison, such a lovely couple. Our room had a beautiful view to the sea and the islands of Pabay, Raasay and the Crowlins, and to the Red Cuillins behind Broadford. The bed was very comfy and the private bathroom spotless and fully equipped. Breakfast had great variety and was delicious, from a plate of fresh fruit to the full cooked meal. All in all a most enjoyable place to stay with delightful Alison and Neil. Cannot fault it or praise enough. Certainly somewhere to return to.

Cafe Sia and Siaway in Broadford make excellent pizzas either to eat there (with a more extensive menu) or to take-away. En route from the ferry at Armadale we took the little wiggly road out to Taskavaig to Ord and looped back to the main road. An amazing view of the Cuillins comes into sight and the scattered white cottages of the little township are set amidst green fields, a magical place. Better that you are used to driving on single track roads with ups and downs and twiddles, but it's worth it. Another glorious drive is out to Elgol with it's face-on view of the rugged Blaven past Torrin and the grand panorama of the Small Isles before dropping down into the little village of Elgol. Unfortunately that was so stuffed full of cars even in September there was nowhere to park. As we were in a car we could hardly complain!

Bring good shoes if you want to walk around the beaches, lots of slippery seaweed! Gift shops next to the co-op are amazing too.

Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und wohnen mit im Haus. Nach unserer Ankunft wurden wir mit Kaffee / Tee und Gebäck empfangen. Man hat das Gefühl, bei guten Freunden zu Besuch zu sein. Man hat einen umwerfenden Blick auf die Insel. Einziges Manko: die Bettdecken waren zu mächtig und warm.

Im Zimmer befinden sich Gästeinformationen zu allen Themen und man kann sich jederzeit Informationen und Tipps bei den freundlichen Gastgebern holen.

Staying at the Strathgorm was a highlight of our vacation. The inn is clean, tastefully decorated, ideally located, and has some of the best views in all of Scotland. We yearn to return to Skye and, when we do, we hope to stay at the Strathgorm again.

We had a lovely 3-night stay. We felt welcome the moment we checked in. Everything is spot-on, the chats with Neil, the fantastic, fresh breakfast, the stunning views and the clean room. Alison and Neil are really kind and caring people. They offered us tea at arrival and even a lift to the nearby restaurant.

The best stay we had during our 3 weeks holiday in Scotland. About 2 miles away from the center of town - but a wonderful view over the bay, very calm, extremely friendly hosts. No wishes left with the breakfast. Alison and her husband did everything to make us happy! And they succeded! THANK YOU!

WE went to Neist Point, gthe most westerly point of Skye. Quite a bumpy road, but it was worth every minute. We spent about 3 hours on different walks, up on the cliffs and down to the lighthouse. Drive safely and look out for holes in the road! We recommend The Hebridean restaurant for dinner. Excellent food, good service by young people.

Alison and Neil were fabulous hosts, we felt very welcome. The room had a great view, and even though the bathroom was almost next door, it was spacious like the room. We wished we had booked more than one night, plenty of suggestions re what to do/see.

Re dinner, We ended up buying food from the nearby coop store and Alison insisted we eat at the breakfast table! She had sent us clear instructions about how to get to the guest house and where we could eat a long time before we arrived, much appreciated. Plenty of optipons. We drove up the east coast to staffin (recommended to travel anti clockwise for the best views) and on the west coast to Struan where there is a super cafe, fr9m there you could drive to a lovely castle and further on to a museum that we had already been to. Alison has plenty of information and ideas.

Where do I start? Everything here is absolutely perfect. Alison and Neil are amazing hosts who share their knowledge of the area readily and are so friendly and approachable. 

The breakfast is fabulous. We had the cooked option and the continental whilst we were here and both were plentiful, fresh and spot on. There was more than enough and everything was so fresh and tasty. We were even given freshly made cookies on our return one evening which were delicious. 

The room had everything you needed including toiletries, tea, coffee, biscuits. There were plenty of fresh towels and the beds and pillows were super comfortable.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Strathgorm and would not hesitate to stay again should we visit the Isle of Skye in the future.

Cafe Sia pizza restaurant is fantastic and we would highly recommend. We also enjoyed our meal at the Broadford hotel. The views driving up the east coast of Skye are amazing and it is definitely worth making it to Quiraing which was one of our highlights. The Oyster Shed near the fairy pools also serves lovely seafood at very reasonable prices !

Our host and hostess were delightful, and I felt very welcome in their home. Great recommendation for our evening meal. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast and conversation with other guests.

Hostess offered to drop us at a local restaurant, however we had a rent car, so that was not needed. A delightful couple - we would love to stay again!

I highly recommend Strathgorm. Rooms are wide, clean and tidy. Bathroom is very well equipped. The breakfast is sumptuous and with a wide variety of choice. But most important Alison, the owner, is one of a kind person! She is very friendly and helpful, ready to give you advice and have a nice talk with you. Anyone will for sure enjoy staying here.

Not many restaurants around and reservations are absolutely necessary.

My partner and I had the best stay at Strathgorm and felt so welcomed by Alison and Neil as soon as we arrived, sitting down for a cup of tea and talking about all things Scotland and the world. If you are looking to get to know Scotland more intimately, this is the B&B for you. The location is fantastic for exploring the Isle of Skye, the room we stayed in was extremely comfortable and cosy, and the breakfast was so filling and delicious (I can definitely recommend the kippers)! We look forward to returning for a longer stay here - hopefully sooner rather than later. We felt sad leaving - it was like saying goodbye to old friends.

Be sure to talk to Alison and Neil for tips! We loved the Old Man of Storr and the Fairy Glen in particular. There is so much to see and do, we need to come back again.

If you are visiting the Isle of Skye for the first time it is the most lovely place to go The sea views are magnificent as are the hills. I would suggest booking evening meals in advance as we found it difficult to find places to eat. There is a lovely fish and chip shop in Broadford it can be busy but worth the wait with the sea opposite a nice place to sit and eat

We had a lovely two days at Strathgorm as Alison and Neil are wonderful hosts. My breakfast grilled kippers were the tastiest, the view from our room across the water was beautiful and the house was warm and cosy despite being chilly outside. Thanks to both for looking out for us too on our round trip walk to the Skye turntable ferry!

The Skye turntable ferry is fascinating and the coffee at the ferry cafe one of the tastiest I've had.

If you have never tasted hospitality, then you have not met Alison and Neil. Top hosts because they are top people. Everything is done to make you feel at ease and nothing is too much. Truly a haven of peace where you lack nothing. A breath of fresh air in a turbulent world.

Strathgorm is ideally situated to explore the beautiful Isle of Skye, especially if you have a few days to spare. You can spend one day exploring the west with the Fairy Pools and another day the north with a walk on the Quiraing.

Alison was a wonderful hostess! While we only stayed one night, she did everything she could to make our stay comfortable.

The Isle of Skye was the highlight of our trip to the UK. We put 3,000 miles on the rental car in the UK (England, Scotland, and Wales) and the most memorable and interesting place we visited was the Isle of Skye. Our trip was too short to see everything, but our sightseeing included: Elgol, Sligichan Bridge, Portree, The Storr, Lealt, Kilt Rock, Quirang, Uig, Fairy Glen, and Neist Point. Everything (with the excpetion of Elgol), is worth seeing in our opinion. We didn't have time to see the Fairy Pools, but our son and his family did and enjoyed exploring there.

Excellent place to stay. Lovely hosts - greeted with tea and cake. The bedroom was superb with comfortable beds,beautiful bed-linen, quality toiletries in the lovely bathroom. True Scottish welcome from Alison. Breakfast was the best we had all holiday. Just wished we were staying for longer.

We ate at The Claymore - advise booking in advance wherever you choose to eat in Broadford. We had to wait an hour for a table but it was worth it.Seafood is their speciality - friendly helpful staff.

Very friendly landlords who helped us with informations what to visit on the island and also to try our wet clothes after a rain shower. We got an excellent fresh prepared breakfast and enjoyed our stay very much.

There are so many beautiful places on the Isle of Skye, you should stay there more than only 1 day. My favorite place is the Fairy Glen.

Excellent hosts. Went beyond what You expect. Room was lovely and cleaned to a very high standard. Bed was very comfy. Great breakfast.

We went to the Hebridean for dinner. Great staff and food. Reasonably priced. Will need to book during season. We visited the fairy pools. Lovely walk, you need to pay for car parks when visiting places, so be warned, bit they take cards. We also visited the fairy Glen. The quiraing and Old Man of Storr. Just a beautiful island with so much to see and lots of lovely walks.

Strathgorm has everything you could wish for!! It is surrounded by beautiful views and internally, very high standards prevail. We had an en-suite room which was spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished and extremely well equipped. Breakfast was also exceptional with a wide choice on offer and the best porridge ever!!! We had such a warm and friendly welcome, we would not hesitate to stay at Strathgorm again.

There are plenty of restaurants within a short driving distance and many of the tourist attractions on Skye are within reach.

I was received by a kind and wonderful couple. The house is cozy, comfortable and very clean. The breakfast was excellent!! Also, is possible to meet the other hosts, since there is a common big table for breakfast. That's a good idea, especially if you travel alone, as myself. The landscape from the house is wonderful!

We stayed in Strathgorm only one night but can highly recomend this place. Extremely friendly owners, Neal gave us a very friendly welcome and all the needed information about the area, Alison served a delicious breakfast the next morning, much more and better than anyone can expect. A lovely selection of everything, very fresh and tasty.You can choose either cooked full scotish or continental breakfast plus selection of yogurts and cereals. We had a family room with a fantastic view, very clean, comfortable bed. In the room you can find all the information about sightseeing in Skye as well as menus from different bars and restaurants in nearby villages, which was very helpful. Thank you Alison and Neil for a great night. We would definitely want to come again.

We had a very good (not expensive) dinner in Claymore Restaurant in Broadford, which is only a few minutes to drive from Strathgorm. Deli Gasta is a place worth seeing for a coffee/ tea and cake if you like.

A perfect place to stay when visiting Skye. The hosts were most welcoming and took time to talk to us. The room was spotless as was the private bathroom. The view from our room was spectacular and the provision of binoculars was a lovely touch. The breakfast were ample with wide choice of dishes.

Superb hospitality. Alison was really helpful with helping us where to visit on Skye. Nothing was too much trouble. We had a very relaxing stay at Strathgorm.

We had a great meal at the Claymore. Their Squat tails are an experience! Alison advised us of excellent roads to see the most of Skye. Amazing scenery. Although we were going to go back the way we came, via the bridge, We took Alison’s advice and got the ferry back to Mallaig. The weather was amazing, and we saw dolphins!
