The big confusion about the room booking meant we had to wait for at least 1.5 hrs until the owner arrived. Fortunately the staff in the cafe attached were friendly and amusing.
Tips:Book restaurants for dinner before you arrive. It is very busy and places are limited.

Tips:There is too much to see and do in Skye for only a two day stopover. We did Coral beach, Neiste Point lighthouse , the fairy pools and Brittle beach.

It was a super break .Everything was fantastic The owner and staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The accommodation was immaculate and the family history was so interesting. We also had fantastic weather.
Tips:Blas has their own restaurant. There is also a Pizza place just along the road. The garage sells papers. Dunvegan Castle is just up the road. The scenery is amazing. The roads are good.

Had booked the 2 rooms so ideal for a family. Very clean, great shower! Lovely decorated with local artwork.
Tips:Lots to see if you don’t mind single track roads! Had no problem finding restaurants/ Blas and Mistys are good. Further afield Carbost is a lovely wee place with the distillery and beautiful views.

The room was spotless and tastefully decorated, with nice homely touches. Breakfast is delivered to the wee fridge in your room (not big enough for a wine bottle!) but if you want a cooked breakfast, you can hold on til 10.30 when the cafe opens next door. The location is right in the middle of Dunvegan village so we could stroll to local restaurants in the evening and not have to bring the car. It was nice to know the money we spent on holiday was going to local people and not some AirBnB host who doesn't live there.
Tips:The Dunvegan (restaurant / pub / cafe) across the road had a lovely menu using local ingredients and were very accommodating of veggies and coeliacs. Very friendly staff and an extensive menu of local gins. Dunvegan is a good base to explore the island from. We did some local walks on foot, and took the car to more challenging ones and a day trip to Portree's scenic circular route. Would definitely recommend the Fairy Pools (be prepared to queue for the car park), Kilt Rock and also Dunbeg broch, which we had to ourselves and some sheep.
