Fladda Chuain is a traditional cottage tastefully refurbished in 2017. The cottage is set in a rural crofting community in stunning North Skye. Fladda Chuain is named after a nearby small island and is our former family home. It is tastefully decorated and furnished with your comfort in mind. It sleeps up to 6 with 3 generous double bedrooms. There are private enclosed gardens with stunning panoramic views across the inner Minch towards the Outer Hebridean islands of Uist, Harris and Lewis.

A very cozy and comfortable house, perfect for someone looking for peace.It's a bit difficult to open the box with the key, you might think that something is broken, but you just have to do it slowly and calmly. The house is very well equipped (if there was a coffee machine or coffee maker, it would be perfect, but that's a minor detail). The books, also about the Isle of Skye, were a positive surprise. The owner, who is a very nice and friendly person, also thought about the fact that the arriving guest might be hungry - there is bread, milk and butter waiting in the kitchen. A very nice touch is the information about the history of the house, located in the binder with information for guests. It's definitely a place you can come back to.

We couldn't have made a better choice. The house is beautiful and spotlessly clean. The owners provided everything you could ever need. The location was stunning. The views are amazing. It's a must visit.

Tips:

Flora McDonalds grave is just around the corner beside the Skye Museum of Island Life. We also visited the Fairy Glens which is a must visit, about 30 mins drive from the property. A trip to Dunvegan Castle and Coral Beach is also worth the drive (around an hour) and the beautiful town of Portree is another must.
