We had a wonderful two nights staying with Viv and Steve. They gave us some excellent pointers on things to do, their local knowledge was really useful. The facilities were excellent and the breakfasts delicious. We would definitely recommend Abhaig to anyone visiting Skye.

This place is heaven! I have stayed with Viv/Steve before but this trip was last minute and they both went way out of their way to help me with a few issues that cropped up during the trip. I have stayed in some wonderful places all around the world but this one comes close to the top of the pile....The little touches that make you feel very welcome/special abound and the food that Viv serves up, seemingly effortlessly, is without parallel. It's a very sociable place with there just being two rooms the chances are you will have an interesting conversation over breakfast with your fellow traveller. The bothy is simply superb and when you wake up in the morning and look out of the window at your view all will be well in your world!

Leave your troubles on the mainland and let Viv/Steve host you to perfection!

Viv and Steve are just brilliant, warm, friendly fabulous hosts 😍, we are returning guests and they go above and beyond to make each stay a memorable one, lovely personal touches in the bothy and beautiful design throughout, spotless, and the delicious home cooked breakfasts are amazing , fresh baked bread, smoothies, vivs marmalade and wonderful choices using the freshest and locally sourced produce, loved all the dishes, big shout out to the wonderful chef 💕they also take an interest in getting to know their guests and recommend special places to visit that might not be in the visitors guide. Skye landscape is breathtaking my favourite place, lots to see for everyone from the Fairy Pools, Old Man of Storr, Fairy Glen, Talisker Distillery, Kilt Rock, and the stunning Cullin Hills. We took the ferry from sconser to Rassay and visited the Rassay Distillery, definitely take a whisky tour and have some delicious food. Visit Armadale, Dunvegan, Carbost, and oldest Skye’s oldest bakery. Edinbane Pottery and SkyeSkins. Skye Candles Visitor Centre and the restaurant attached does delicious wood fired pizzas. Kinloch Hotel for Sunday lunch and beautiful views. If your travelling around Scotland take the Ferry from Armadale to Mallaig to see sands of morar and beautiful sands in Arisaig along the coast then travel to Glennfinnan, Viaduct and Jacobite monuments Fort William and stunning Glencoe.

Everything about Abhaig is excellent from the warm welcome to the amazing location and the exceptional breakfasts. Viv and Steve do all they can to make a stay a memorable experience whatever you are wanting from a stay on Skye.

We have stayed in the house and the Bothy now. Both are excellent, but the Bothy is special. It has amazing views over Uig to the Outer Hebrides and feels like a private and cosseting escape from the world. You won’t want to leave!

A quirky bed and breakfast with the most spectacular wallpaper run by a lovely welcoming couple Viv and Steve with a gorgeous dog, Archie. Great breakfasts and daily bakes and tablet provided. Comfy chairs inside an bothan dubh and facilties to sit out enjoying the spectacular views.

Be sure and book meals out in advance..lots of places closed or on short hours eg Stein Inn, 12 to 2 or after 5pm. Expect busy roads and not everyone knows how to manage single track! Driving anywhere takes longer than you expect. Roads out to the West seemed less travelled, but worth the journey

4th June 2023:

We spent 4 unforgettable days at the very special place of Viv and Steve. We had rented the Am Bothan Dubh as all the sights on Skye are within easy reach of Abhaig B&B, we even did Fairy Glen on foot. Not only their friendliness was exceptional but also their incredible hospitality: Viv and Steve are very philantrophic and also animal loving. The cottage is affectionally furnished and the view from the bed to the ocean you only experience once in your life! The breakfast menu left nothing to be desired, even special requests were gladly fulfilled. The salad picnic we enjoyed one evening was also wonderful and lovingly prepared. We'll be back for sure, the Outer Hebrides are still waiting ! Thank you, Viv and Steve for these wonderful days! Manuela & Stephan

Our stay with Viv and Steve was so much more than just an accommodation. We stayed at Abhaig for our wedding/elopement. From our initial inquiry about our booking Viv was warm and welcoming. She helped us with everything we needed from booking taxis to giving amazing advice on the area. She even offered to help iron on the day of the wedding. I can’t express how grateful we are to them. They went above and beyond at every turn to make sure our day was perfect. The decorations on our breakfast table and the beautiful picnic lunch Viv made for us and let me tell you there is nothing better than Viv’s cooking. We spent the rest of our time in Scotland wishing she was still making all our breakfasts. It was out of this world!!! Thank you doesn’t feel like enough for all you did to make our stay special. Abhaig is a one of a kind place we will never forget. We hope to visit again. From the bottom of our hearts thank you both so much!

Abhaig Boutique is one of a kind accommodation. You wont regret your decision. The facilities is spotless, cozy, and very well decorated. It was perfect place to come back to after hiking and exploring the great nature of Isle of Skye to relax and get good rest. The bed was super comfortable and so warm. The highlight is the bathroom with heated floors and amazing surrounding views. Truly serene and peaceful. To top it off, the hosts- Vivian and Steve are so sweet. They are so welcoming and friendly and I felt very well guided thanks to them in Scotland. Vivian’s breakfast and dishes are amazing. So fresh and delicious. Highly highly recommend staying here!

Vivian provides amazingly recommendations for local eatery. You must book things in advance for dinner. Staffing is short in Skye and there’s limited seating in restaurants!

Staying here was a true highlight of our trip. My wife and I spent two nights and wish it could have been longer. The hosts are incredibly welcoming and friendly. Their tips on things to do and places to eat were perfectly suited for us. The space is extremely clean and comfortable, and the breakfasts were perfect. Even though it may seem remote, the location is still convenient to the major sights in and around Portree. And the view from the room is exceptional. Peace and quiet with all the comforts. Exceptional.

We spent a week touring Skye and the Highlands and this was our favourite stay - Viv and Steve are lovely warm welcoming hosts, the breakfasts are superb and the Bothy was wonderfully well equipped and provided - we were even welcomed with still warm home baked scones! Wonderful views over the Loch.

The Galley Cafe over the road was an excellent unpretentious seafood restaurant with the freshest seafood ever.

Beautiful bothy set in an idyllic location, breathtaking views and the most amazing hosts! Viv and Steve’s warm, friendly welcome from the minute you arrive, they go above and beyond to make your stay fabulous, the bothy is stunning, modern, spotless with beautiful design features, also lovely touches, Viv’s home baking on arrival, tablet and other treats. The breakfasts are exceptional, but it’s also the chats and laughs at breakfast passing on local knowledge about great finds to visit that makes this a 5 star luxury experience, can’t wait to return again next year!

Places to visit Totternish, The Culllins, Sligachan Bridge, we travelled North visited The Museum of Island Life in Kilmuir, Kilt Rock, Old Man of Storr, Lealt Falls and Flora Macdonald memorial, also Alexander McQueens ashes are scattered in the cemetery opposite! Short Ferry trip from Armadale to Malaig is worth doing to see the silver sands in Morar. We visited a beautiful Vegetarian restaurant Chidakasha Skye in Glendale, food was amazing, and local in Earlish is The Ferry Inn food and ambience was exceptional and in walking distance. Cafes! Skye Skins and Birch in Portree, also the new red cafe, Cafe Coul on the way to the Talisker Distillery, delicious sandwiches and home baking sit in and takeaway. Shopping: The new Skye Candles Visitor Centre in Portree, Edanbabe Pottery, Skye Skins Tannery and lots of independent artists across the island with pop up studios,

We got spoiled by our lovely and wonderful hosts. The breakfasts were fantastic and a lot. We also had homemade scone in the late afternoon. Our room was really nice and cozy. Everything was excellent. Thank you so much Viv & Steve!

There is a restaurant called ‘The Galley’ just across the street. We did a takeaway and ate at the B&B. That was really nice. I recommend the picnic that the B&B offers. It was wonderful and delicious. We had the seafood basket.

You were really welcoming and available, and at the same time professional and effective. Great food, nice room, some good whiskey and wise advices.

Early arrival is recommended (restaurants close around 8-9pm, roads are tight and scarcely illuminated). Visit Neist Point, the Skye Museum of Island Life and Trotternish Peninsula.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Vivienne and Steve. They were warmly welcoming, very attentive and gave us lots of tips for sightseeing. The room and bed were very comfortable and spotless. Nice facilities. Tasty and nicely presented breakfasts accompanied by Vivienne and Steve's good humour!

We recommend The Ferry Inn restaurant in Uig not far from Vivienne and Steve's. We were very welcomed and the decor is very tasteful.

So peaceful, comfortable and well appointed with a design flair, the Abhaig bothy was a delight. Plenty of room for a couple with an inviting bed and roomy bath. Breakfast was wonderful and the sunset view is out of this world! Viv and Steve are great hosts! Best stay during our two weeks in the UK!

Restaurant options are limited in the area so book in advance. If your first time visiting Skye, recommend at least 3 nights - there is much to see, and driving between sights takes some time on Skye's many single track roads. Lastly, pack for changeable weather any time of year

It’s not easy to achieve what Viv & Steve have created with their Bothy Suite. It really is a tastefully furnished haven of tranquility and Viv & Steve are excellent hosts. I can’t imagine anyone staying there and not being impressed with what’s on offer.

Uig Hotel Dinner was good. Ferry Inn sounds like it would have been a second good option had it not for some reason been shut for 4 days over a weekend in mid June. Ferry terminal less than 5 minutes away. Portree 15 minutes.

Vivienne and Steve were the very best of hosts - they shared their favorite spots, shops and restaurants on Skye with us and their recommendations were outstanding. There is such thoughtfulness in the goodies supplied (Vivienne’s mom even made some candy for our stay). And having the espresso and tea station was outstanding as we loved the ability to have coffee as soon as we woke up. We departed feeling we’ve found a perfect slice of heaven, and made wonderful friends with Vivienne and Steve in the process. We cannot wait to come back and cannot recommend Abhaig Boutique B&B highly enough.

Abhaig Boutique B&B is a beautiful and incredibly special place. We stayed in the “Am Bothan Dubh” cottage and everything about it was beautifully designed and thought out. Great attention has been given to every detail. We especially loved the support of local artists and products. There is such thoughtfulness in the goodies supplied (Vivienne’s mom even made some candy for our stay). And having the espresso and tea station was outstanding as we loved the ability to have coffee as soon as we woke up. Sitting in the outdoor seating area and looking out at the stunning view, as well as taking walks in the neighboring fields along the ocean bluffs, were some of our favorite moments. As were the wonderful and delicious breakfasts (plenty of vegetarian options). We cannot wait to come back and cannot recommend Abhaig Boutique B&B highly enough.

What can we say 10/10, would give more if we we’re able. From the moment you arrive, hosts Viv & Steve can not do enough for you. The bothy is the height of luxury with so many special touches, homemade tablet and cake not forgetting the wee dram. Breakfast is just amazing with so much choice, high quality ingredients and served with a smile. Viv & Steve are so knowledgeable about the area and able to give advice about places to visit wether this is your first time in Skye or a return visit. We can’t wait for our next stay.

I can't say enough to describe this 'Bothy'. It's perfect in every way. We stayed in 5 star hotel in Loch Lomond before we stayed here and are currently in a 4 star hotel in Inverness post visit and neither meets the standards at Viv and Steve's place. Perfection in every sense! Breakfast and extra treats are delicious. Eggs served from the "ladies" on the day are delicious!! Perfectly cooked food from a great choice of options. All wholesome and filling portions. Lots of home made items: jams, cakes etc. Hosts are so welcoming but not intrusive. Helpful re places to visit etc. The Bothy we stayed in is decorated to such an exquisite standard...sublime! Peaceful,private and perfect! Be sure to book way in advance. Thank you both for such a wonderful few days.

If we could give 11 out of 10, we would. Absolutely lovely hosts made us very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them. The accommodation in the ‘bothy’ was extremely comfortable and stylish. The breakfasts were delicious and really set us up for the day. Superb!

Viv and Steve went well beyond the normal in providing a very friendly welcome and support during our stay. The bothy was extremely comfortable, with stunning views. Breakfast were scrumptious.

The Fairy Pools are nearby and worth a visit. Also we enjoyed seeing the ferries at the port at Uig. Dunvegan Castle is definitely worth a visit, particularly the beautiful gardens (big discount for RHS members).

The most gracious and kind hosts! The house was immaculate and had fresh pastries waiting for us every other day. Breakfast was made with such care and both Viv and Steve were super engaged and communicative. Literally the best hosts!

The house is located pretty far north of the island so a car is necessary. Go and do the Storr hike, it's about an hour away but worth it. Everything is at least 30-60 min away so be prepared for that, it's worth it however for the views and scenery of sky. Also go to Kinloch Lodge for dinner, highly recommended!

Wonderful stay with Fabulous hosts and Perfect service. The food, again, was excellent. Perfect location for a relaxed holiday.

Very near the Uig hotel for delicious dinners. Have a drink at the Pub Ferry Inn, too. The Caberfeidh Restaurant/Pizzeria in Portree is very recommendable, super service, delicious pizzas. Go and see the Dinosaur museum in Staffin and speak to Dugald. North of Isle of Skye: Take the route northeast, see the Old Man of Storr and Kilt Rock and enjoy Quiraing and the route along the coast in direction west and then south again in the late afternoon and early evening.

We stayed in Am Bothan Dubh which was faultless. The uninterrupted views over the coastline are incredible especially at sunset. The shower was brilliant with heavenly products to use. It is a beautiful relaxing space in The Bothy. Breakfast was an absolute feast. We have never had such choice of home cooked, good quality food. My dietary requirements were met and no items were simply “left out”, an alternative was given. Viv and Steve were the loveliest hosts with a wealth of knowledge of the island. It was a joy to be there and we will most definitely return.

During these difficult times we felt safe and secure during our stay in the Black Bothy. Its beautiful,luxurious,spotlessly clean with lovely wee extra touches like welcome cake a wee dram,quality chocolate, popcorn and luxury toiletries. Big comfy bed,hot powerful shower,big fluffy towels,robes and slippers. Big picture window facing the sea and hills and a nice sheltered place to sit outside if the weather's good.We had the supper club 2 nights and the food was AMAZING. Loved the unusual choices at breakfast too. Steve and Viv are fantastic hosts going above and beyond to make your stay extra special

We we’re so impressed with the quality and design of the bothy. All the little extra touches provided made our trip extra special. The food that we had was incredible. The lamb tagine we had as part of supper club was out of this world and then the breakfasts were all so tasty and set us up for the day. To top it all off Viv and Steve were so friendly, full of local knowledge and couldn’t do enough to help us and make our trip amazing. Thank you!

We enjoyed our day walking the Quiraing - unreal scenery but wear walking boots and be prepared to get a bit muddy. The Skye candles shop was a delight and a great place to get some early Christmas gifts. If you’re going to some hotspots (fairy pools etc) get there early. If your up for an adventure do a dawny trip and get in before the crowds then come back for breakfast. If not a Danny then try and get in before 10. For food - Book in advance!! We will book 8pm bookings each evening next time ensuring we have somewhere for dinner, giving us enough time to have a full day out and then come back and get showers and refreshed before going out again - so many options in Portree and it’s really not too far. Supper club at the B&B is a must do, especially if it falls on your first night: incredible food and a fab first night meaning you can relax once you’ve arrived. We had dinner in Cuillin Hills Hotel which was stunning and reasonable for what you get. Oyster shed was a great experience and cracking food!

Abhaig was an incredibly beautiful place to stay. We stayed in the main house. Out bedroom was on the second (and top) floor, though the bathroom was down the stairs in the "public" area (next to the entrance way and the guest dining/sitting room). It was not as much of an issue as I thought because our hosts stayed to their part of the house and the other guests had no reason to come into the main house except for breakfast. Viv and Steve were immensely wonderful as hosts and cooked brilliant and extravagant breakfasts. They also were very generous with the little bits and pieces (eg. Chocolate, whisky, shampoo, conditioner ect.).

The Ferry Inn is a very good restaurant, particularly for their seafood, to have dinner at. It is a 10 minutes drive away (or about a 30 Min walk). It would be best to book in advance. The Fairy Glen nearby is also worth a walk through because it is delightful and beautiful.

We had an amazing stay! It was a highlight from our week travelling in Scotland. Viv and Steve are brilliant hosts and so welcoming and accommodating. The food was excellent — we had lovely locally sourced fresh seafood as part of the supper club (the scallops were amazing) and enjoyed the selection of two course breakfasts! Location wise the B&B is in a beautiful scenic location in North Skye. Not far from Portree and near to the Quiraing which we were able to hike during our stay. We were also able to bring our puppy, Milo, who slept in the main house (there is a separate dog boarding / daycare service). This worked really well for us as it allowed us to have a break from looking after him in the evenings plus he had a fantastic time in a new environment and gained a wee bit of independence! He didn’t want to leave! Thank you again Viv and Steve for a memorable time in Skye!

Thank you for a lovely stay. The accomodation was luxurious and very comfortable with amazing views. The breakfasts were very tasty and filled us up for the day. We had the Supper Club one evening and the food was also excellent. Viv & Steve were wonderful hosts and we hope to stay with them again in the future.

A great base to explore the Trotternish peninsula on Skye. Really close to the Fairy Glen and the Quiraing for some amazing walks. The beaches on the East coast of Trotternish (near Staffin) were great too, and we enjoyed a tasty takeout from the Hungry Gull in Staffin. The bothy has a nice outdoor seating area with a great view for drinks in an evening and watching the sunset.

Viv and Steve are the most warm, friendly and exceptionally welcoming hosts they can’t do enough for you, the attention to detail at Abhaig Boutique B&B is exceptional, the beautiful modern bothy is pure luxury, the lovely touches that they add, delicious home baked cake on arrival (Viv is an exceptional baker), a wee dram and Vivs mums delicious tablet was wonderful, it’s also the stunning views from the bothy and the sunset we were lucky to experience that make this place magical, we opted for the supper club and takeaway picnics so glad we did, all the freshest ingredients which was delicious. There is also fantastic choice for breakfast from full Scottish to healthier options which catered for everyone. Viv and Steve’s hospitality was first class and well worthy of higher than 5 stars we loved our stay at Abhaig enjoying the company of knowledgeable hosts, taking in the breathtaking landscape of Skye, particularly after a busy day exploring there was nothing better to come back to the tranquility of the beautiful black bothy.

Viv gave us lots of lovely places to explore around Skye and different routes around the island, we visited the usual tourist attractions The Fairy Pools, The Fairy Glen, Dunvegan Castle and Portree, but Carbost was a lovely village, The Oyster Shack, Talisker Distillery and grabbed coffee and cake from Caora Dhubh lovely place, also worth visiting Dunvegan village, Edinbane Pottery as they have the most beautiful Skye pottery.

Viv and Steve were the most amazing hosts during our stay at Abhaig in the Am Bothan Dubh. We had never stayed in a B&B before (just hotels and Airbnbs!) so were a little unsure of what to expect when we got there. That being said, we were absolutely blown away by the level of service we recieved. Firstly, the Am Bothan Dubh was beautifully appointed and kitted out with everything you could ask for and more. The little touches like the tablet made by Viv's mum and the lovely vegan amenities in the bathroom were well recieved! It happened to be my birthday while we were there so Viv and Steve had put a bottle of prosecco in the room for our arrival and had written out a card and a little gift on the morning of for me - totally going above and beyond! We ate like kings during our whole trip, but the supper club we had on the Friday night of our arrival and our lovely breakfasts throughout the stay were some of the highlights of the whole trip! My personal favourites were the cauliflower in maple syrup during dinner and the french toast croissant breakfast. Our hosts couldn't have done more for us, even helping us plan some of our day trips around Skye and on one occaisson letting me borrow a pair of sunglasses! We even got to take home a carton of eggs from their hens. The "sit oot-erie" was great for us to come back and sit and enjoy the outside weather after dinner and we saw some amazing sunsets from there. Thank you for the best birthday ever, we will most certainly be back!

The Ferry Inn in Uig was a great place for dinner. The little shop just down the road was brilliant for anything you might have forgotten or need during your stay. Try some Skye beer too!

This is a really special place to stay in a special part of Skye. The bothy is simply stunning - with magnificent uninterrupted West-facing views across the sea. Viv and Steve are excellent hosts and Viv went out of her way to ensure I was well looked after, nothing was too much trouble. The little touches - lots of little treats in the bothy like Whiskey and fudge, home-baked cakes and artisan chocolates - added to the special experience. The bothy was extremely comfortable and luxurious, very tastefully designed and spotlessly clean. Set apart from the house, it is very private, and as it is set back far from the road, very peaceful - the only sounds are birdsong. The bed was super soft and comfy, beautiful soft furnishings throughout the room, great shower, a nice selection of books - basically everything has been thought of to make you feel pampered! There is a lovely outdoor seating area for when the weather allows - a perfect spot for an evening drink whilst watching those spectacular sunsets, or a peaceful morning tea. Viv's breakfasts were delicious - she offers much more variety than usual b&bs and her home-baked granola and full Scottish breakfast were particularly scrumptious. Viv also offers supper clubs, with delicious dinners - the freshest seafood, and very generous portions! In short, a very memorable b&b with everything one looks for: generous hosts, delicious food, spectacular views, luxurious room, and total peace - you'll come away feeling utterly relaxed! Thank you both - I'll be returning!

The local area has plenty of truly spectacular scenery to enjoy by car or on foot. Abhaig is just 5mins drive from Uig, where there are some good restaurants. The Ferry Inn was fantastic and well worth a visit.

Viv and Steve are the most welcoming and thoughtful hosts we have ever met. The Bothy is beautifully decorated and is a perfect, self-contained unit - especially reassuring in these difficult times. The food provided by Viv (breakfasts and the supper club) meals are exceptional - quality and quantity. We simply couldn't recommend Abhaig B&B more highly.

Quirang, Fairy Glen, Skye Brewery all within a short distance. Uig and Edinbane potteries nearby and, of course, the magnificence of the Skye scenery.

It was so great to welcome you to Abhaig for a second time and as we mentioned then, its the biggest compliment for a host when guests re-book. We are just delighted you liked the bothy and since the weather was not that kind for your four nights, it was nice to think you were looking forward to being cosy in there each day and evening. Loved everything about our stay. The Black Bothy was so clean and comfortable. Beautiful location looking over fields onto the water. Viv and Steve were fantastic hosts. The Supper Club food was delicious and loved the unusual choices at breakfast. Really didn't want to leave and we'll definitely return. Robust covid measures in place too. Felt super safe.

Definitely have a meal at Abhaig.

We had the most unforgettable stay at Abhaig b&b staying in the bothy. The bothy itself is beautiful, with so much attention to detail from the design to the Edinburgh Coco choccies on the pillow and local whisky with fudge for us to tuck into after our long drive to Skye. It has a picture perfect window that looks out on the breathtaking sea views, where both nights we watched the sunset over the sea with the Isle of Harris in the distance. We had dinner there both nights. The first meal was a showstopper with locally caught Langoustines and a paella; a feast for the eyes! I am gluten free and Vivienne went above and beyond to create breakfast and dinner options that both my fiancé and I can eat. She even baked the most delicious gluten free cakes! I felt truly spoilt. Who needs to go out for dinner when there are 5* meals in-house! Breakfast too was delicious and all home made. Vivienne and Steve are so warm and welcoming and were so helpful recommending places to go to in Skye. They both have so much knowledge of the area having lived there for most of their lives, so we felt like we were getting a truly authentic Isle of Skye experience! We felt so well looked after and we will definitely be returning back. Thank you Vivienne and Steve for making our stay in the Isle of Skye so special, we wish it could have been for longer. The quieter walk up to Quiraing that you recommended was beautiful, we also loved moseying around Portree. And that coastal route up from Applecross was stunning!

These guys could write the textbook on perfect Highland hospitality. The accommodation is gorgeous and the food was delicious but nothing compares to the joy of staying with a couple who so clearly love where they’ve landed. Their local knowledge and tips were invaluable and their flexibility and welcoming attitude second to none. We were nervous travelling just a wee while out of lockdown but Vivienne and Steve put us at ease, kept us safe and allowed us to enjoy a beautiful trip.

I’ve been lucky enough to stay here twice now, and it’s truly fabulous. From its cosy independent setting overlooking wonderful views, the most incredible hosts, who cook the most fabulous food, it’s splendid location and the attention to details. Viv and Steve are superb hosts and make your visit special from the minute you arrive. There is so much attention to detail from the home baking waiting for you after a day sightseeing to the wee whisky nightcap with homemade tablet. The Bothy is beautiful, so comfortable and luxurious with amazing views. Supper club meals were absolutely amazing too with so much effort put into making it special. This was our 2nd visit and it won’t be our last. You will not be disappointed. Thanks to you both

Make sure you walk the Quiraing but be prepared... it is fairly tough and take your walking boots. Also take the ferry to Raasay and make sure you visit Brochel Castle... don’t be put off by the single track windy road!

Abhaig Boutique B&B is hands down one of the best B&Bs we’ve stayed at and we’ve been to many! We stayed at the separate bothy that has been recently refurbished. It is done beautifully - each little design detail is well thought through and it feels modern, cozy and luxurious. The view from the big window is simply stunning. Waking up every morning to see the sea and expansive sky is such a treat. Viv and Steve are the perfect hosts. They make sure we have everything we need, cook up absolutely delicious breakfast, leave little treats in our rooms and not to mention yummy cakes every afternoon! We stayed in one night and they made us salmon and prawn linguine, both were cooked to perfection. It was then followed by a scrumptious berries crumble. All this with side vegetables cost us only £20 each! Viv and Steve also look after dogs for others, and if you are a dog lover like us, another highlight everyday is to cuddle with the dogs. What more can you possibly need!

The location of the b&b is perfect for day hikes and there are many stunning routes nearby. We enjoyed going to some of the local restaurants but I have to say dinner at the B&B was a lot nicer than some of the meals we’ve had. It is hands down best value for money so would highly recommend. We can’t wait to go back another time. Thank you Viv and Steve for such a wonderful time.
