Tracey and Ted gave us the warmest of welcomes and could not have been better hosts. So thoughtful and nothing would be too much trouble. The rooms were beautifully turned out. A true homely experience. Hoping and looking forward to returning soonest. Jim & Jan
Tips:The old Inn is super. Lovely outdoor alcoves overlooking the loch. Super friendly staff. Go to Munro's bar at Taigh Ailean Hotel port along, 10minute drive. Superb food where we had the best monkfish I've ever tasted served with locally foraged seaweed. Be prepared for 20-30 minute walks from roads or parking along tracks & streams to reach the fairy pools and beaches.

We loved our stay at Trien Lodge. It's definitely a home from home, so comfortable. Tracey and Ted are wonderful hosts, breakfast is amazing with top quality food, and nothing is too much trouble. Helpful suggestions and recommendations given as to where to eat and visit. We would not consider staying anywhere else if we are lucky enough to return to the Isle of Skye.
Tips:Tracey provided us with a very helpful map that detailed all the main tourist attractions and gavd us suggestions as to what was worth visiting. We dined at the Red Skye restaurant just outside Broadford which we thoroughly recommend.

Fantastic B&B. Good quality delicious breakfast, large bedroom, very comfortable bed. Owners were very accommodating - serving us a very early cooked breakfast so we could get an early start out on the hills and then offering to dry all our clothes when we returned. Thoroughly recommend.

2nd September 2020:
My husband and I stayed here for two nights recently while traveling around Skye and thought it was great! We had a nice, large and comfortable room w views of the loch and the Cuillins. Everything was very clean, and we appreciated the attention to detail- they seemed to have thought of everything you could possibly want/need. Upon arrival we were offered coffee/tea and generous slices of lemon drizzle cake, which was lovely. The cooked breakfast every morning was delicious and kept us going until dinner time. The owners were very welcoming and friendly and we had some fun chats with them. Highly recommend!
Tips:This is a great base for the Cuillins and Glenbrittle. We went walking both days, visiting the Fairy Pools and Coire Lagan while there. See the routes on walkhighlands.co.uk.

Owner Response:Thank you for your lovely feedback Alison. We loved having you to stay and are pleased that you were able to really explore the island and do some great walks. We'll take your cue and walk Coire Lagan in the autumn.

23rd August 2020:
This is a top class B&B with luxurious rooms, en suite shower room and walk in cupboard, ideal for clothes storage and airing. The breakfast of fruit juice, cereal, toast, bacon, sausage, black pudding etc is excellent and kept me going all day. Great service from the hosts. The location is ideal to access Glen Brittle, Portree, Carbost and Broadford. This is the best B&B I've stayed in.
Tips:The old inn in Carbost is a short distance away and ideal for meals and drinks. Talisker distillery is in Carbost and is worth a visit. Glen Brittle is nearby for access to the mountains and the sea. The town of Portree is a half hours drive away. Picturesque Talisker Bay is a short drive away also.

20th August 2020:
We had the most wonderful stay! It was the best accommodation of our entire trip because the hosts were incredibly friendly and everything was clean and spotless. Tracey and Ted welcome you in their home in such a wonderful way that you truly feel at home. The guest house is easy to reach and one has a stunning view. Also, the communication prior to, during and after our stay was extraordinary. In a way, we got more than we booked and paid for - including cuddles with the dog and we were always offered a cup of tea, glass of wine and even cake when we returned from our trips.
Tips:Tracey and Ted give you wonderful tips on where to eat out. Also, they know about beautiful hidden gems for amazing hikes nearby.

19th July 2020:
Everything about Trien Lodge is excellent. From the warm and friendly greeting from Tracey and Ted, to the spacious bedroom, very comfortable bed and super shower, and first class breakfast, this B&B is definitely worth a visit. The location is superb, with spectacular views of the shoreline in front and Cuillins behind. It is also ideally situated to access all parts of Skye. We shall return!
Tips:Although not open yet because of Covid19 restrictions, the Talisker distillery is withing walking distance. We would also recommend the walk at Glen Brittle which is nearby. Portree is only 30 minutes away and if csrrot cake, veggie burgers and coffee is your thing, Cafe Ariba is a must.
