We had such a great stay at the Flodigarry Pods. It was such a cosy base to explore the island. Everything you’d want has been thought of - even a pair of binoculars. Very handy to take in the fab views. There were four of us staying in the pod, two adults and two teens, and it all worked out well. The beds were comfy and everything was immaculate. We’ll be back for sure.
Tips:Wild swimming in Loch Sheanta. A stones throw away.

We had an absolutely wonderful time visiting Skye and the pods were exceptional. Everything needed for an extremely comfortable stay, and little added bonuses including binoculars, eggs and milk on arrival, tea pot and coffee maker - real attention to detail! The pods were cosy and extremely comfortable with amazing views - being able to sit out in the evening with a coffee and watch the sun set was just lovely. Communication from the point of booking was excellent, and on arrival we were warmly welcomed at the pod. During our stay we had chats with the owners who were so friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back in the future!
Tips:Skye is such a beautiful place, absolutely visit the tourist spots but don't forget to take in and enjoy the beauty that is all around you and the often hidden gems on your doorstep.

Farm fresh eggs were amazing!!! Duke, Monty and Ace are the greatest 4-legged hosts...lol! It was so nice to get a visit right to our door from Ace. The pods are so cozy and welcoming.
Tips:From the pods watch the sun come up over Flodigarry Island in the morning and gaze at the stars at night! The island is a hiker's paradise, and the Old Man of Storr is a must do for the stunning views and challenging terrain.

We stayed here as part of our Scottish Minimoon and it was perfect. We had our labrador and there was plenty of space in the lodge for us all, also plenty of space outside for the pup to stretch his legs and he got to play with the farms dog aist. The views from this Lodge are amazing and the host was very friendly and helpful. The lodge itself has all you need. Would definitely recommend.

We had a great time in our little pod. It is a comfortable and cozy place where everything is well thought ( bathroom, kitchen space, bed, sofa, TV, sound system) Beautiful view over the coast and the sheeps. This is the perfect place to hike in the quiraing and the Trotternish. Our host were very welcoming and very helpful . They made us feel at home. We had all we needed for breakfast tea, good coffee, local milk and eggs from the farm! The best lodging experience we had during our trip to Scotland.
Tips:Hiking the old man of Storr. Going to see the sunset at Neist Point. Driving through the Quiraing. Visiting the Dunvegan castle. Eating a fish and chips at Portree .

The location of the pod is marvelous, on the hill with sheep around us and view on the never boring see. Even with rainy wetter it was a perfect place. Within 10 minutes till an hour enough to do for a week holiday. We only missed some space for putting our luggage for four persons it is a bit tight.
Tips:Walking in the Quiraing, the Old man of Stor, driving around over the coastway, Portree and Highland Games in Portree. Good food at the Hungry Gulf and super friendly personel in Staffin shop.

The accommodation is very loving and well equipped - you can find everything you need in a small space! And more: there were also binoculars with which you could take a look at the landscape and animals. Even in bad weather, because under the covered area of the pod you can sit outside well protected from wind and rain. Great! The bed and the huge duvet were also really comfortable and we slept wonderfully! The accommodation is spectacular and the daily view of the meadows, the sheep and the sea as well as the indescribable peace made our hearts swell every day! We had a great time and would come back any time! Thank you for everything!

Loved the location. The fresh eggs a milk were a special treat. Although it was a little tight with three people, we really enjoyed our stay. It was great to interact with the owners.
Tips:Take the northern loop on A855 and stop at the Skye museum of Island life and Fairy Glenn. Portree and sights to the south like the Fairy Pools and distillery will be very busy with tourists in June. Avoid the Quiraing road unless you are visiting there.

The decision to not overdevelop your croft is excellent as it keeps the madness of the world just on your doorstep at bay. We chose to spend a lot of time on site as it is a gem. One improvement we might suggest is to fit soft pockets on the wall at the bedhead for glasses/ mobile phones/booksetc Thankyou so much for letting us experience such a beautiful setting

The view from the Pods are gorgeous. I loved being on a working farm and getting to watch to sheep in the morning and evening. I appreciate that you are located on the quieter end of the island. It would be so helpful to have a long mirror on the door to the bathroom. It was really difficult getting ready with just the tiny mirror in the bathroom. Also, Mairead needs a new wine opener, the one in there is worn out. Tiny things... we had a great stay. Thank you.
Tips:The Hungry Gull in Staffin is an excellent Cafe. Their food, coffee and baked goods are very good - also incredibly kind people working there.

Very much enjoyed our stay; appreciate the high quality and comfort of the pods, especially the new ones (that skylight was missed when we switched pods, plus the numerous other small improvements). The view and peace and quiet were a dream. We would absolutely book again. The septic gas leak was unfortunate, but all that matters is that problems are promptly addressed, and we have no complaints. Despite that one issue, the rest of the experience was excellent, and a highlight of our trip.

We have been touring Scotland and have been mainly using hotels including the 5* Torridon. Choosing to include the Flodigarry Pods on our tour was the best choice of the lot. Charlie, Joan and Emma run an excellent set of pods that are clean have all the facilities one requires as well as a spectacular location over looking Flodigarry island. It is beautiful peaceful relaxing and at this time of year very entertaining. Watching a flock of new born lambs frolicking about kept us amused for hours
Tips:The whole of the northern part of Skye is beautiful beyond belief. Having been in hotels for the most part of our tours we did not use the local restaurants. We reverted to touring the sites castles and the various galleries from Portree to Dunvegan as well as relaxing and self-catering in the pods

Our third visit. Such a special place. We loved it! The family are so friendly and kind. We loved seeing the 1st born lambs. Our only feedback would be that the double bed is very soft, it felt a lot softer than last time. Just a personal preference, and did not detract from an epic weekend!
Tips:You don't need to drive all over Skye to experience amazing places. The Fossil beach is our favourite. We also love the walk to the Quiraing from the pod. The walks on the north coast are also amazing Thanks again.

We had a magical stay at Flodigarry Pods - The accommodation is wonderful, warm, thoughtfully spec'd (everything we needed plus more - bluetooth speakers in the roof!) The view is indescribably good and sitting either on the bench in front of the pod listening to the lapping of the sea or cosied up in the pod looking out the windows is the very best way to start a day. The owners are really welcoming and friendly (the welcome pack with the tasty fresh eggs was perfect) being a part of their working croft is great, lambs were born when we visited and the kids were welcomed to see them. They loved feeding the chickens too! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying here - stunning scenery all around, great location for visiting my favourite part of the island, we'd initially chosen this location as a great base for seeing things around the island but we discovered that theres actually no need to go far at all - lots of things to do very close by. Can't wait to go back. It was just amazing!
Tips:Hungry Gull restaurant in Staffin is great. Staffin bay is a gem too. The walk from the pods to the shore is a great place to see the sunrise. Quiraing is close - either hiking or via the car park up the hill. Turning right and exploring the north of the island is peaceful.

Fabulous place to stay. Very comfy and cozy pod with stunning views. Everything you need and spacious. Bed was extremely comfortable, really lovely cotton linens much appreciated for a great night’s sleep. Shower and bathroom big too. We loved staying here and the Bensons went out of their way to make us feel very welcome, great hosts. Eggs, milk, some cereals, butter, jams, marmalades to get you through a few mornings breakfasts. Amazing place, we thoroughly enjoyed staying here, and would thoroughly recommend staying at Flodigarry to all travellers.
Tips:We travelled around a lot of Skye seeing the various wonders of the Island. All stunning. We didn’t find many coffee shops open on our tours, probably due to us visiting in October. The good old flask and picnic were much appreciated. Our favourite walk was probably the Cuillins, but everywhere was amazing. All so incredible.

A Perfect Blend of Beauty and Hospitality My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Flodiggary Pods in the enchanting Isle of Skye, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience that surpassed all expectations. From the breathtaking scenery to the warm and welcoming owners, every aspect of our stay was nothing short of exceptional. Let's start with the scenery - oh, the scenery! Flodiggary Pods are nestled in the heart of one of the most picturesque landscapes in the world. The pods are strategically positioned to offer panoramic views of the rugged mountains, rolling hills, and the vast expanse of the ocean. Each morning, we woke up to a stunning sunrise that painted the sky with hues of pink and orange, and at night, we were treated to a breathtaking display of stars that seemed to stretch infinitely across the sky. The natural beauty of Skye is truly awe-inspiring, and Flodiggary Pods provide the perfect vantage point to immerse oneself in it. The pods themselves were nothing short of delightful. Compact yet cozy, they were equipped with all the modern amenities one could need for a comfortable stay. The design was tasteful and contemporary, with large windows that perfectly framed the majestic surroundings. We appreciated the attention to detail, from the plush bedding to the well-equipped kitchenette, which made our stay feel like a home away from home. What truly set Flodiggary Pods apart, though, were the owners. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality. They were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to ensure that we had a memorable stay. They offered valuable insights into the best hiking trails, local attractions, and hidden gems around the area. Their passion for Skye was infectious, and it added an extra layer of richness to our exploration of the island. In addition to the stunning natural beauty and warm hospitality, Flodiggary Pods also provide an excellent base for exploring the Isle of Skye. The location is convenient, with easy access to some of the island's most iconic landmarks, such as the Old Man of Storr and the Quiraing. Whether you're an avid hiker, a nature enthusiast, or simply seeking a peaceful retreat, Flodiggary Pods offer an idyllic escape. In conclusion, our stay at Flodiggary Pods in the Isle of Skye was an absolute delight. The beauty of the surroundings, the comfort of the pods, and the exceptional hospitality of the owners all combined to create an experience that we will cherish forever. If you're looking for a place to unwind, reconnect with nature, and experience the true essence of Skye, we wholeheartedly recommend Flodiggary Pods. It's a hidden gem that deserves all the praise it receives.

Tips:The pods are in a great location to see some of the amazing sights of Skye. We loved the old man of storr walk. We in the off chance woke up just after sunrise and it was the most incredible sunrise we had ever seen. So if it’s sunny and you can brave the early morning, it’s definitely worth it. I can’t recommend the pods enough, location, space etc are all brilliant. The owners also left us some nice touches like fresh eggs, milk, cereal and tea and coffee. We had a great stay

Perfectly equipped, easily accessible pods. They are placed in pairs, at a reasonable distance from each other, so they provide maximum peace of mind. The pods face the sea. In the fridge, hosts treat you with homemade eggs and milk. The hosts are nice and respond quickly. Herding dogs are good for playing ball.
Tips:The footpath to the Quiraing is a few minutes' walk away. There are several hiking options on the mountain. However, a significant part of the road exists only at your fingertips, because there are no signs or paths, so you have to rely on a map or GPS. The bus stop is also easily accessible so you can go over to Kilmuir and Duntulm Castle, from where you can walk back along the coastal road. (~3 hour journey). To the south of Kilt Rock, you can take a nice walk along An Corran Beach. You can go out on the coastal road several times (~3 hour journey)

We had an amazing time at the pods, we visited so my 5 year old daughter could visit the dinosaur museum and go dinosaur footprint hunting, Which was fun. The owners are so lovely and friendly they invited my daughter to feed the sheep in the morning which was a massive highlight for her, she thoroughly enjoyed it. Also the working dogs are amazing to watch around the sheep they clearly love herding them. So sweet and friendly too!! The pods were all we could ask for cosy, warm, brilliant wifi connection and so clean and amazing views, really good base for exploring the island. We will definitely be returning for another visit in the summer next year. Thanks again amazing stay

The facilities were great but I could have done with more information before arrival. It sounds stupid but I wasn’t sure that there would be a kettle or a toaster as it wasn’t mentioned. Likewise the hairdryer. The one thing that would have been brilliant would have been a bigger blanket to sit outside with as the lovely runner just wasn’t snuggly enough ( and could only be for one of us!) Also please could you check the cupboard door in front of the fridge as I think it needs a quick adjust to the upper bracket? Honestly we had a fabulous time and loved our pod -this is super picky. We are currently listening to a motorway in a travelodge on our way home and we are wishing for the quiet and the dark skies. It was our first visit to Skye but it won’t be our last.

I absolutely LOVED this place. The location is just perfect for exploring Skye. The pods are well equipped, clean and comfortable, absolutely perfect for hiding away from bad weather if needed, but no matter what the weather the views are just beautiful. The eggs and milk that are provided on arrival are amazing and the family that run the pods are so welcoming and friendly but also leave you space for privacy and doing your own thing. The place is such an amazing find and from the moment we arrived we could not stop thinking about when we will be able to return... and return we definitely will!
Tips:There is an amazing walk just across the main road of the pods driveway which eventually leads on to the Quirain; It is a lovely way to explore some of the beautiful mountains and lochs rather than accessing the Quiraing from the overly tourist travelled carpark on the other side... we even went for a cold water dip and were not disturbed. If you decide to drive to Sligachan, make sure you also try the less travelled walk at the back of the statue - it's the best way to take in the magnificent Cullian hills and experience some of the Fairy Pools... the Cuillin brewery is a small brewery little known by many and you can buy beers, ales and apparel from their small hole in the wall at the Sligachan hotel.

We were with 4 people and stayed comfortably in the pods. We enjoyed the local fresh eggs and breakfast items. The view is absolutly fantastic! Conveniently close to Quiraing and other island activities. The owneres are very knowledgeable, responsive and helpful. We have put Flodigarry pods on our list of places to stay again!
Tips:Recommended daytrip: after lunch depart for Dunvegan castle. Be sure to also stop at the viewpoint just to the north. Then have dinner at Misty in Dunvegan (if it is busy suggest everybody orders the same thing). After that go see the sunset (check the time!) at Neist point. Optional: the hike from the car park to the lighthouse. If you are at Skye early August, check the dates of the Highland games in Portree. Half a day (after lunch) is already great, you'll hear plenty bagpipes, witness the dancing contest and see the tossing of the caber!

Absolutely loved our short break in the pods - set my alarm every morning to catch the sunrise, just perfect. Loved being surrounded by the fields and seeing the sea and did the short walk down to Flodigarry Beach. The beds were so comfortable and the bedding divine. Very cosy with everything we could need. The fresh eggs and milk were a lovely personal touch and delicious. Loved the covered decking with the table outdoors which was lovely for breakfast - breathing in the fantastic views again. We'd the pod area to ourselves during our stay but it's nice to know that only ever two families would be in the area - so many pods are now over populated with little space each.
Tips:ACE Adventures Axe Throwing outside Portree was really, really good. The Red Brick Cafe in Jan's, Portree was fantastic for lunch. Uig Hotel - great evening meal. I'd book though normally - we turned up on spec and were very lucky to get a table. If booking, ask for a table by the window - they've a lovely outlook over the bay of Uig. Ferry Glen was simply lovely - kids of all ages will love it. Cafe Arriba in Portree also served an amazing lunch. Doesn't look much from the outside but it was very good indeed - always queuing when we were there but a reasonable quick turnaround for tables.

I stayed here for three nights while traveling solo around Skye and absolutely loved these pods. The location was stunning -- incredible lush views right out the pod door and so tranquil. The pod itself was wonderful, I was grinning the moment I opened the door. Every surface was spotlessly clean; the kitchen was modern and well-appointed; the bathroom was immaculate; and the bed and couch were both very comfortable. I had such a great stay here, I couldn't wait to share photos with my friends. The owner was really friendly and helped me get situated. I highly, highly recommend these pods for solo travelers (or couples) looking for a cozy, rustic experience with modern amenities!
Tips:There's two shops in nearby Staffin to get groceries, but mind their hours (call first to make sure they're open). And absolutely make a trip to The Quiraing for a hike, it's incredible. But make sure you bring boots that perform well on slippery surfaces (and probably clothes you don't mind getting dirty); the trip down was VERY muddy and made it near impossible to avoid slipping.

Tips:Great walks from the doorstep! We loved the walk down to the beach..... The pod we stayed in was very well presented with excellent facilities. The bathroom and kitchen facilities were great and the bed extremely comfortable. We had a beautiful view out across the bay to Flodigarry Island. Our hosts, Charlie and Joan, were welcoming and very friendly and helpful during our stay. Loved the fact that they greeted us with fresh eggs from their hens when we arrived. Duke the sheepdog regularly popped by to say hello too! 😊
Tips:There is so much to do and see if you love walking and being in the great outdoors of Skye and witnessing the stunning scenery. We recommend exploring Rubha Hunish, north of Flodigarry as well as Glen Brittle and the Fairy Pools in the south of the island. We recommend obtaining supplies from the Co-op supermarket in Portree. Tips:Fabulous pods located north on the island. Lovely and quiet with a great view out to the sea and flodigarry island. Close enough by car to lots of local places of interest like Uig, Fairy Glen and then south to the Fairy Pools, Portree, Broadford etc.

Just beautiful! Who wouldn't want to wake to the view of Flodigarry Island? Facilities inside the Pod are amazing. Everything you would want. The fresh eggs and milk were a lovely touch too. You just need to take some food for breakfast. We took a couple of microwave meals and also treat ourselves to dinner at The Flodigarry Hotel nearby one evening. Wouldn't hesitate to book here again. The peace, tranquility and beauty of Skye is just beautiful. (Only tiny gripe is the Pod could do with a better quality mattress.)
Tips:Take some food, bread, milk, bacon, etc Flodigarry Hotel restaurant is amazing (quite expensive) for a special treat. Do visit Neist Point and walk to the lighthouse, it's spectacular. Also The Old Man of Storr. Dunvegan Castle and gardens are beautiful. Keep your eyes open to nature, it's amazing what you see! Binoculars are a must. We saw a sea otter, eagles and ? dolphins.

Absolutely amazing stay. Loved the small touches with the fridge products. Comfiest bed. Room felt really big despite clearly being very compact. Loved the guide book - the coastal walk was FAB (even though part of it no longer seems to be accessible.) The sound system was also fab - a LOVELY, unexpected touch. And generally, absolutely beautiful views, we absolutely loved our time here, thank you.

We were delighted to be offered a lift to the Old Man of Storr car park to start our walk along the Trotternish Ridge as this was much more convenient than getting the bus. It was also nice to be able to speak to Gavin and learn a bit more about the area.
Tips:Food at Flodigarry Hotel was very good but a bit on the expensive side for everyday eating. The Hungry Gull in Staffin provided us with an excellent takeaway. The Galley in Uig was great especially if you like sea food. We also enjoyed eating at the Portree Hotel in one of their greenhouse Pods. If you would like to eat somewhere particular at a particular time our advice is book in advance. We heard good reports about the food in the Ferry Inn at Uig and while having a drink there we asked about eating that night (3 June). The answer was that the Inn just had 7 tables and was fully booked until the middle of August!

The location is second to none - especially if you are seeking excellent coastal views, wildlife (I saw dolphins, otters and White-tailed eagles - all from the front porch of the pod!) and getting away from the beaten track (whilst actually being very convenient for some of the most amazing locations on Skye). Although it is a bit remote for walks it is a perfect starting point. And the pod itself... I fell in love with it. Think tiny houses. It could use a bit more shelf space if used for 4. But even then the pod felt very spacious for 4 adults because of it's good design and luxurious implementation (build in bluetooth speakers, floor heating).

We loved our short stay in your pod, it was our favorite place during our entire trip to Scotland. Immaculately clean and cozy and thank you for the eggs, milk, coffee and cereal. The view was incredible, especially during sunrise.
Tips:Perfect location to explore the Trotternish peninsula, a short drive to the Storr and Quiraing. Staying here allowed us to explore at off-peak hours. Staffin store also nearby for any last minute food items. Loved it!

This lovely pod is cozy for a family of four. You got the view of the ocean and green hills right outside your front door. The facilities are almost like new and very clean. Good shower pressure and very quite for a good night sleep.
Tips:Bring some food easy to cook with you, it is a bit far from restaurants, we didn't feel like a separate trip to find food.

The view from pod was amazing! Would have sat outside longer but those midges were not our friends. Pod was new, clean, quiet and peaceful. Thank you for the eggs. Pod was a bit of a tight fit for our family of four. Bunk beds may have worked better in the front area as the couch had an lower trundle pull out, which was smaller than upper part of the couch. Missed the sign and turn to the pod. Maybe a bigger sign?

We booked the pod as there was almost nowhere else to stay on the Isle of Skye and were quite hesistant as had never stayed in something similar. It turned out to be the best experience of the holiday in Scotland. Location is great. Quiet with a few restaurants around. Pod itself has all modcons and is warm. Would stay again!

I don't honesty know if there are more gracious hosts anywhere than Joan, Charlie and Ewan. We were beyond impressed with not only how clean, comfortable and nice the pod was, but they had fresh eggs from their farm waiting for us, were available any time to answer questions, sit and chat for a bit, or offer help if needed. We stayed three nights and by the end, felt like we were saying goodbye to old friends. The view from the Pod is gorgeous and the pod itself is incredibly nice for two people on vacation together who want to get away to the Highlands. Thank you guys for a great experience!
Tips:If you're coming from America and used to 24 hour stores, etc., just know you should plan ahead, stop in Portree and get groceries, etc., as most of the island businesses shut down early. It's fun to cook in the pod and relax with a cup of something warm while taking in the view.

Very nice and warm welcome. We felt directly at home - our kids loved to help feed the lambs. The pod inside was very cosy and execellently equipped. We still dream about the view and the wilderness of Isle of Skye. On thing though: Maybe you could enhance the sign at the gate on top of the street (indicating Flodigarry pods)? It is not to easy to turn the car on the street and we nearly missed it.
Tips:We really liked the Fossils hike, crossing the crofts. We went for dinner to the Flodigarry Hotel which was execellent and really welcoming. We saw different sights on the Isle, but these are common knowledge.
