wonderful location , storms wind and rain agahinst us but stll managed to walk each day day, views and topography fabulous.

Must do: Stein Inn ,family dog friendly superb sea food all right on the water . Man of Storr great walk ,great views if you own one bring your 4x4. the roads are third world condition in many areas! we saw numerous vehicles stopped with punctures!

Such a stunning property!!! We loved waking up to the sunrise right in front of us and watching the changing landscape. A truly special place.

It is a bit remote, but that is what we liked about it. It's very close to beautiful places on the Trotternish Peninsula, Old Man of Storr, Quiraing, Fairy Glen, Kilt Rock, etc. Bring food so you don't have to go looking for restaurants. We loved cooking there and just enjoying the view.

Excellent experience from start to finish. Staff were so easy to deal with especially when we had to defer the booking at short notice due to covid. The accommodation is beautifully presented with everything catered for. Cleanliness is very high and beds are comfy.

There are various guides, leaflets and a comprehensive 'things to do' book within the property.

Lovely clean, modern accommodation with sensational views across the sea to the Torridon Mountains. Bedrooms very cosy. Good location for several of the best of Skye’s scenic attractions. Thoroughly recommend. But WiFi so slow it is impossible to stream or catch up using it. However a reasonable 4G signal can be found in some spots in the house. We tethered phone to our laptops to watch movies etc.

We loved dining at Loch Bay restaurant which is an hour’s drive away. Amazing set seafood menu. Michelin Star. Expensive and you need to book months in advance. But worth the effort. Also dined at Three Chimneys. Lovely but if you had to pick then go for Loch Bay.

A magical place to stay, what a fantastic holiday we had. The Eyrie had everything you could need, incredibly clean and comfortable - and the views were something else. Would love to come back and stay here again, great base for exploring the island or just watching the world go by.

Book your meals if possible in advance - Portree is a busy place and sometimes it was hard going to find somewhere to eat. Scorrybreac in Portree was amazing food. Fairy pools, Coral beach were great walks, there are good walks near the Eyrie too if you have pets.

Beautiful house in a peaceful and stunning location. Views are incredible!

Lots of viewpoints in less than 30 mins away: - the fairy Glen - old man of storr - lealt - quiraing - brides veil falls - kilt rock and mealt falls So close to Portree and the restaurants/cafes we enjoyed were: - the antlers/Portree Bar and grill - Cafe Ariba (great coffee) - Cuchillin The reastaurant we went to on the way into Skye was: - The Old School restaurant And we also went to the Fairy Pools and Neist Point Lighthouse before making our way up to Skye Eyrie

We were blown away by the location of Sky Eyrie ; the views from the huge windows are stunning. The accommodation itself is also pretty special with lots of attention to detail and the little extras that were left for us were very kind and really appreciated.We would love to come back sometime. A very minor thing - bedside lamps in the main bedroom would be a good idea as the over the bed lights are very bright.

The position of the cottage is fantastic with amazing views. The cottage is so beautiful, well equipped. Just perfect.

Walk The Man of Storr ( start by 9 to avoid too many people ) but walk the longer walk over the ridge as the views are spectacular. We loved Quaraing walk also. For coffee / lunch : The Birch and Cafe Arriba in Portree are very good.

We really loved our stay in Skye Eyrie; only wished it had been longer.

It’s difficult in these times to give tips as things are not normal but we found eating out a problem as we hadn’t realised we would need to book at least a week in advance to eat at places we had earmarked! One did accommodate us at 5pm! Also car parking at some of the beautiful scenic sites were difficult but having said that we always managed to get parked. None of the above would stop us visiting Skye again though but we would def avoid school holiday time. How lucky are you to live in such a magnificent part of the UK; it makes are Sussex beautiful rolling countryside seem like mole hills!

Fantastic accommodation - modern and clean. Comfortable throughout. Stunning views and great walking routes down to the beach or to the mountains overlooking the house.

Remember to use the fridge in the Annex Room for storing food as the one in the main kitchen is a little small. Great sandy beach at nearby Staffin that the dog loved swimming from.

Beautiful house in beautiful location. Lovely details - we arrived to fresh flowers and wine, the house was immaculately clean, luxurious and has stunning views. A perfect stay for our family.

A hilly but wonderful cycle to Staffin Beach to look for dinosaur foot prints - great fun! The Old Man of Storr on a sunny day was a must!

Absolutely fantastic place to stay. The views from the house are simply breathtaking. Out of the main hub of Portree, but a 25 minute drive tops if you need to be there for shopping or food. The Skye Eyrie is just a few minutes drive from The Old Man of Storr as well as the Quiraing, both of which are best done in the early morning, so the close proximity is a bonus. The furnishings were top notch, kitchen well stocked, and the entire place was impeccably clean. Communication with the owners was always outstanding. Being there in May, baby sheep season was in full swing, so what a fun experience to look out the front windows and see water, mountains, and the boing-ing along of tons of tiny new sheep. Being out of the main hub of Skye also allowed for phenomenal star viewing at night. I cannot recommend this place enough.

There is a small grocer just a few minutes away from the Eyrie. Most of what you would need are there, but if you're someone with any kind of special dietary needs or restrictions, I'd suggest you load up at the Co-op in Portree for a wider selection. Had dinner one night at the 1400 Columba, 5-8 minutes drive from the Eyrie. Stellar food and great service - definitely recommend if you're too tired from hiking to drive into Portree.

We had a lovely stay at Eyrie. The property is stunning! Fantastic views and a peaceful location. The house is very well maintained and all the rooms are spacious. We will definitely return. Thank you for a fantastic stay.

We loved the shop OR that is located within Portree. The Isle of Skye Soaps provided in the house were lovely so we bought some from their shop in Portree on our way home. We had a very nice stop at the Single Track Cafe and Art Gallery when we drove to the north of the island - great coffee and lovely cakes!

A few maintenance issues need attention, but would not stop a return visit to this glorious location. Front door catches on opening and lock tricky to use. Patio door bottom seal coming away. A few uneven paving slabs.

Sia pizza restaurant in Broadford was very good.

Perfect place, one recommendation: dishwasher tabs in the house would be perfect. And yu might want to amend the website, the googlemaps location is wrong, makes it hard to find (if you haven't read the mail) It would also be an idea to check the fireplace, apperntly it is not closing tightly, thus during winds there is a permanet whistle in the livingroom

The cottage was gorgeous. Beds so comfortable and was so well euiqqed with cooking utensils. Particularly loved the Skye soap and candles. Even having the stove ready to use in August when we came back wet and cold was brilliant! I really cannot fault it and am having to think hard about how our stay could be improved. As we drove up the drive we both said to each other that we would love to rebook here again.

There seemed to be a wealth of boat trips on offer throughout the Islsnd. All quite expensive and in the end we didn't bother. Any guidance on which of these to use??

Loved cooking in our own kitchen! There is a little store in Staffin not far away that sells groceries! Amazing location close to Old man of Storr and many other sights! I recommend lighting the fire and just staring out the windows at the remarkable view!

We loved it here and are already planning our next stay. Everything was perfect and the views just cannot be beaten. It’s the best self-catering we’ve ever stayed in and was particularly great for our dog as the garden is big and safe.

Very nearby is the Ellishadder Art Cafe which is only open a few days a week for soup and cake. It’s tiny and gorgeous and Maggie will demonstrate her weaving on her loom if you ask her.

Simple, easy-to-book system. We liked having our privacy and not being disturbed but appreciated knowing there was someone to call if we needed. It was nice to have the hamper but some good basics (bread, bacon, tomatoes) would have been great. We didn5 know how remote we were going to be or that all the shops would be closed! Also, a teapot would be good instead of having to make tea in mugs. All in all, very lovely!

Bring good first night food supplies. Bring midge repellent. There is so much to do but pick a few things that appeal to you the most or you will be driving a lot!

What a beautiful house and location! We loved walking up the street and watching the sun set and all the beautiful views. All our interactions with the R.escape staff were very friendly and helpful. The welcome basket was an extra special touch. I would highly recommend a stay at the Eyerie.

Make sure to get pies at Skye Pie cafe. Our favorite walk was the one just across the road from the Glenview. We also had a lovely lunch of soup and cakes at the Single Track.

The double beds in both bedrooms were the smallest we have ever encountered ! They are really single beds I would guess 5 feet wide. We had problems with sufficiency of hot water on the first morning. After one shower it ran cold. on the second morning it seemed to be alright.

The Pie shop is delightful and the staff are both courteous and friendly. Very worth a visit. Telephones were at the very edge of reception at times and at other times non-existent
