20th May 2025:

Rebecca and Matt’s attention to detail has created a very special and relaxing place. The cleanly designed space makes the lodge an easy to use and dramatic holiday destination. Nestled on the hillside overlooking the sleepy village, mountains of the mainland and ever changing waters of the bay below, the secluded garden space is an excellent towing after a day exploring the local area and dramatic scenery and wildlife Skye has to offer nearby. An excellent place to get away from it all and I will certainly be back and thankyou for the excellently stocked welcome hamper.

Tips:

Ideally placed for a full on Cuilllin experience or for a more relaxed explore of Sleat’s intricate coastline and hidden beaches. There are a couple of local stores nearby (the Post Office and Armadale), which were an excellent find. Skye is a special place and this is an excellent location to feel at home in it.

27th April 2025:

We had a gorgeous mini-moon staying at Skuyo lodge. Rebecca and Matt couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming (even when we had some minor car issues!). The lodge is in pristine condition and has all the amenities you could possibly need for a relaxing stay in Skye.

Tips:

Location wise it is a little further away from most of the top things to see in Skye but this suited us as we don’t mind the driving and had plans to do some sight-seeing more locally. When staying at Skuyo, a must-do is to dine for lunch or dinner in Kinloch Lodge - it was amazing!!

6th December 2024:

We stayed for our honeymoon in November 2024. The lodge is a luxury stay, and the attention to detail made our trip. We had an amazing time and couldn't recommend this place enough. You are a short walk to a local pub which was lovely, and the area is very scenic. We loved watching the sheep from the hot tub! Another review mentioned that it is not secluded, but it is very private and we loved the area. Thank you for an amazing stay.

Tips:

- Local pub is very good for food and drinks. - Broadford is about ten minutes by car and has shops and takeaways.

22nd November 2024:

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Very high standard of accommodation, everything felt very luxurious. Everything we needed was there (washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets etc) There was also a lovely welcome pack with lots of treats. The short instruction videos that Rebecca has made were very helpful and meant there was no confusion about how to work anything in the house.

Just home from a lovely stay in Skuyö Nordic. Rebecca & Matthew were fantastic hosts. A lovely surprise of goodies when we arrived to set us up for our stay. The accommodation has everything you need for a very relaxing romantic break on Skye. The hot tub was perfect for the autumn weather with lovely views of the sea. Highly recommend! Thank you x

Tips:

Great to be able to walk to pub/restauarant 5 mins walk away. We asked Rebeeca for suggestions of places to visit and did a selection of these. If you like fish Broadford has a super fish van and restaurant.

17th August 2024:

We visited Nordic Skye for our honeymoon. Our stay was fantastic. The accommodation itself is really well put together and thought through. It has a modern luxury feel without taking away from the gorgeous scenery of Skye. We love the thoughtful little extras such as local snacks, tea coffee, fresh bread and Prosecco! The sky light balcony was the perfect place to watch the northern lights on our 1st night. The accommodation was in a fantastic location, we enjoyed exploring the local area and the pub which was a 10min walk away for food. There were also excellent facilities to cook in the accommodation too. We couldn't fault our stay at Skuyo it was excellent. Love Chloe and Jack.

Tips:

Food: we enjoyed having the options to eat in the accommodation or nip down to the local pub. The shops in Broadford were a fairly close drive to pick up supplies. We also treated ourselves to a lunch tasting menu at Three Chimneys Talisker, a bit further away but definitely worth it. Drinks: We enjoyed a days whiskey tour of Skye with Skye Distillery tours. Our guide Hugh was great. We enjoyed visiting Talisker and Torabhaigh with multiple scenic stops along the way. Activities: We enjoy climbing and mountain walks so took the opportunity to hire a guide through Abacus Mountain guides to head up the Cullin Ridge and climb the Inaccessible Pinacle. Certainly not for everyone but something we will never forget. We definitely appreciated the hot tub after that one!! We also took a trip down to Elgol, the sea views were stunning and there is a lovely little cabin that sells fresh sea food, a great lunch option. My advice for anyone visiting would be pack for all weathers. There’s no such thing as bad weather just the wrong clothes!

18th June 2024:

Really excellent place to stay. It felt like everything had been thought about in terms of facilities and home comforts. Also loved the welcome pack of food and treats. We were celebrating my partners 60th birthday and were greeted with Prosecco on ice and a birthday card!

Tips:

We ventured out to the beach at Aird o Sleat. An undulating walk where you arrive at a stunning beach and views, well worth the hike. Also drove up to fairy pools, such a scenic drive and walk along the pools was lovely. We also went to torabaigh and tallisker distilleries a must if you like whisky!

Absolutely faultless stay, the guest book videos were incredibly helpful! Meant we could get really settled into the space and make it ours for a few days. We will definitely be back!

Tips:

Waking along to the nearby pub, it’s very cute and friendly. There’s lots to explore around Sleat, point of sleat walk was a particular highlight. Take your swimmers and have a dip in the beach!

19th March 2024:

Beautifully presented property in a good location for exploring the Island. A lovely 3 day stay.

Tips:

Local An Crubh Cafe and Shop worth a stop. Eilean Iarmain was great for an evening drink (walking distance) although they weren't serving food as out of season. Kinloch Lodge was exceptional for a fine dining experience. Climbed Bla Bheinn (Munro) which was challenging but rewarded with 360 views from top. Cooled off in the Torrin Falls nearby - much less busy than Fairy pools but no less pretty. Scouting for Buoys was a charming little honesty box shop just past Armadale. Cycled the Ord loop (circa 20 miles) which is gorgeous but plenty of elevation so for the fitter cyclist unless on a e-bike. Detoured to Plockton on the mainland on the way over which is very picturesque with a few food options.
