Lovely place to stay and wish I had booked for longer. Everything was spotless and everything I needed was available.

It is a lovely location. There are nearby walks and it is only a short distance to Portree. My time was limited but I managed to see a lot of the beautiful countryside, visit Dunvegan Castle, Neist Point lighthouse, and the Isle of Skye Candle visitor centre - all worth a visit.

Excellent accommodation in all respects. Very clean, spacious and well equipped. We very much appreciated the free welcome food especially the local free range eggs.

Just be aware that the track to the accommodation is down quite a long grit track. Could be slippery I imagine in icy or snowy conditions. If you have a low sprung car just be careful too. We had no absolutely no problems but mentioning it if relevant to others. Close to several main sites on Skye. Beautiful setting straight off main road but not that near any shops, closest local facilities probably in Portree, so essentially, arrive pretty stocked up.

House was large and well maintained and in a lovely area of Skye. Close to both Uig and Portree and all of the sights to the north of the island. Despite the cold scottish nights and mornings, the house kept warm and the heaters were fab when needed. The resident cat Archie met us upon arrival with many a meow which made the trip even better!

The North East of the island has the most sights to see (Quiraing, Storr, Rha waterfall, Kilt rock and Mealt falls), so this property is amazing for its close proximity to these. Also the Bakery in Portree is my new favourite!

Accommodation was like a home from home with top marks for cleanliness. It was a very well fitted out chalet with everything needed for a holiday accommodation. Susan had left some extra to start us off eg fresh eggs, milk, juice, tea/coffee etc which was a nice touch. We just had to ask if there was anything we needed. Would not hesitate to recommend this accommodation and would certainly book it again.

Location is central for Uig, Portree etc and the roads were in very good condition which was important as you require transport to get around this magical Isle. Restaurants varied depending on taste - but the fresh sea food is a must.

Hosts were very responsive, informative and friendly. We met them on arrival, and even though we were staying on their croft right next to their home didn't see them again afterwards. Felt very private, but we knew they were at the end of the phone if needed. The accommodation itself was beautifully clean and really well equipped. We were very comfortable, relaxed and loved the remoteness of the place.

Our family had an absolutely wonderful stay at Allt Na Criche. :) Susan and her husband were excellent hosts, the breakfast provided in the morning was great, and the rooms were very comfortable and quiet. Best of all, the location was exactly what we had hoped for, close to the sights on the Trotternish Peninsula but also just a short drive to either Portree or Uig. And the new out across the loch was just breathtaking. I sincerely wish we'd been able to spend longer on Skye and at the Allt Na Criche -- my one regret from our trip to Scotland was that we only spent two nights there. I would recommend it, no question.

In terms of things nearby, the Fairy Glen is just a short ways north of the B&B, southeast of Uig, as is the turnoff for the Quiraing road, and both were beautiful to see. We also really enjoyed the Museum of Island Life further up the peninsula, and while Uig is definitely a small town, the waterfront was well worth a wander. Just make sure you make any restaurant bookings in advance during the summer, as the relatively small number of restaurants nearby apparently get filled up quickly.

Super B&B! Sehr Hundefreundlich. Die Hunde dürfen im Garten herumlaufen und sich auch im Haus frei bewegen. Sehr nette Gastgeber. Das Frühstück war außergewöhnlich gut mit einer großen Auswahl an frischen Früchten. Es gab neben dem großen herzhaftem Frühstück, Croissants und kleine Hefeteilchen. Alles wurde nach Wunsch zubereitet. Der Ausblick auf Lovh Snizort ist traumhaft. Einziger Nachteil ist die etwas abgeschiedene Lage, aber in rund 8 Meilen Entfernung gibt es eine große Auswahl an Lokalen.

Unbedingt das Ferry Glen besichtigen! Das Stein Inn ist ebefalls sehr zu empfehlen, allerdings dürfen dort Abends keine Hunde mitgebracht werden.

It was a very lovely place. I believed to be in a paradise !! No noise, the view on the loch in the morning was so romantic and relaxing... Susan and her husband were very sympatics, and they give us many informations about the Isle of Skye (restaurants and attractions). If we come back on the Isle we will go back in this B&B. I really love it !

Restaurant The Cuchulin. The lobster is so good !! The complete isle is beautiful! It’s difficult to choose the things to do ! Be carefull the road !!

Quiet location with pretty views. Off the main road, hence so. Tidy well equipped and comfortable bedrooms. We rented the twin and double rooms (non ensuite). Shared bathroom was clean and spacious. Plenty of food choice for breakfast. Helpful and friendly hosts.

The allt na criche b&b is located on a very beautiful place. And the hosts, susan and her husband, are very friendly and helpful. The homestay is pleasant and the breakfast was just brilliant! You have to try the pancakes! :)

We can recommend the hotel uig in uig. The food there was delicious! Portree is close to the b&b (approximately 10min by car), but be careful on the road, here are a lot of sheeps. Go and hike to the old man of storr - it's worth!

Very peaceful and wonderful sunset views across Loch Snizort and our west to the hills of Harris. Comfortable double room and sparkling clean bathroom. Really convenient for Harris ferry, too. Delicious home made breakfast with fresh fruit and lots of nice thoughtful touches like iced water and a big flask of coffee.

Didn’t enjoy ‘Isles Inn’ in Portree - poor value & low quality, factory made food - but it seemed to be the only place that allowed dogs. Considering the tourist boom on Skye, more customer focused eateries are urgently required!

uig is closer than Portree for an evening meal, but Portree has more choice. we had some fish and chips from a little chip shop that was very good.

We were delighted with our accommodation, and with the friendliness and helpfulness of our host and hostess. There were unique qualities about this place, the view across the waters, the resident flock of sheep and the ritual of feeding the hens each day.

Be aware this B&B is in a rural situation and obtain adequate directions as to the turn off from the main road. Take warm clothing for walks in the hills above Uirig.

The B & B Allt Na Criche is highly recommendable. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful, the breakfast is very rich and prepared fresh, the rooms are clean, the bathroom is on the cutting edge, you will find selvmade cake in your room when you come back in the evening, the location is very quiet, surrounded by greenery with great view on Loch Snizort and it is not far to Portree.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Allt Na Criche B&B and would come again. The views were outstanding. Kirstie was very friendly and a good cook! We especially appreciated the little treats she left on our tea tray in our room each day.

The meal at the Harbour View Restaurant in Portree was very good but booking is essential. The car park above the Kylerhea Otter Hide was a good place for wildlife spotting. We even saw a sea eagle.
