Very clean and modern cottage with all mod cons. Great views out across Staffin Bay. Good location for exploring Skye.
Tips:Close by are the Quiraing and the Old Man of Storr both of which have good walks. Follow the sign to Staffin Slipway to see dinosaur footprints on the beach. A well stocked brewery shop in Uig. The Flodigarry Hotel has a good restaurant and if you want to go further afield there's the Three Chimney's on the road to Glendale and the Stein Inn near Waternish. The Talisker Distillery at Carbostis worth a visit.

14th June 2023:
I was absolutely delighted on arrival at the cottage, it was had a lovely homely atmosphere. The hosts really had thought of everything from cling film for sandwiches to salt/pepper and oils for cooking. These little things are often overlooked in holiday accommodation but to see these little things they really made the difference to our stay. In terms of location, we found it good for different locations towards the top of the island. It was slightly further out for central areas like Portree but it was a lovely drive along the coast so it wouldn’t put us off staying here again. Thank you again for a lovely stay, we look forward to coming back.
Tips:Restaurants to visit: Portree Hotel Antlers Restaurant, The Stein Inn and the Uig Hotel.

17th November 2022:
This cottage is stunning, location overlooking Staffin Bay was awesome, the sunrises even in November amazing. Cottage was lovely and warm, had everything you needed, the most well equipped kitchen, could have cooked Xmas dinner! Place is modern & cozy, underfloor heating, excellent wifi, smart TV, husband enjoyed the log burner and the views from the massive windows are amazing. Very quiet, just the sea could be heard and no street lights so plenty of star gazing
Tips:In Staffin we enjoyed Columba1400 cafe, open Mon to Fri 9am till 4pm, ideal for a morning coffee and cake, we enjoyed the soup and toastie and celebrated our last day with afternoon tea that we booked. Highly recommend Three Chimney’s if your a foodie, expensive was £270 for 2 but worth it for a celebration. Driving north of Staffin the views are breathtaking, the road behind cottage up to the Quaing and down to Uig is excellent and smooth. Fairy Pools well worth a visit & walk and then pub lunch at The Inn - we researched in advance using Trip Advisor what was around for trips out and you need to book in advance what ever the time of year for a good 80% of places.

Kathy was contactable if you needed help and responded very quickly. The house was spotless and well maintained. The kitchen was well equipped - and we do like to cook.
Tips:The nearest supermarket is 30mins drive so plan your shopping! Mini-market about a mile away in Staffin. Fresh langoustines from vending machine (SkyeSeafood on Facebook). Walking is excellent straight from the house. Eating out - recommend Uig Hotel (8-9miles by car). Columba 1400 is more local if it's open.

Quirang was a delightful place to stay. It was spotlessly clean, very comfortable, extremely well equipped. It would be difficult to find a better holiday home for 2 people. We overlooked a beautiful little bay and could hear the sea from the house. We had a lovely view of the Trotternish Ridge from another window. All on one level with parking by house. Would definately recommend to others. Scenery nearby is beautiful.
Tips:Local community shop is very useful. We enjoyed a boat trip to Loch Coruisk with time to walk there. Museum of Highland Life was nearby and Beach at Staffin with dinosaur footprints and small local museum. Most of all we enjoyed exploring smaller roads through wonderful scenery, stopping to walk when we could. Enjoyed Isle of Raasay with beautiful coastal walks with wildflowers and Raasay House community cafe with tea outside overlooking the sea. Took a wildlfe day out too which was excelent

12th November 2021:
Quirang is a very well appointed, warm and comfortable cottage with wonderful, ever-changing views across Staffin Bay. On a clear night the outside bench is a perfect place to sit and view the stars with a glass of wine or a beer. We found the underfloor heating makes the air a little dry for our taste but the cottage is always warm and welcoming. A pair of beer glasses would complete the glassware for a lager drinker like me.
Tips:Most things shut at the end of October and this year the affects of Covid were still apparent but Pam and I would recommend, as special during our week, lunches at the Ardvassar and Uig Hotels, a boat trip from Portree, walks to Neist Point Lighthouse, around the Scorrybreac Circuit, Portree, and around Glenbrittle, and a day walking on Raasay.
Would Recommend: Yes
Owner Response:Thank you for the kind comments. Should you return lager glasses will be provided!

Always a very prompt reply to any queries before and during visit. If any problems were to have cropped up we felt confident that they would have been dealt with quickly. We felt very safe with the owners attention to scrupulously following COVID guidelines, thank you.
Tips:We would be very happy to stay at this property again if we were to return to Staffin. Excellent variety of walks for the novice and experienced hiker. The hungry gull provided us with an excellent takeaway of fish and chips, especially as they catered for gluten free.

Fantastic stay. The cottage was lovely and clean and Kathy had thought of everything that might be needed. Even down to log burner already being filled and a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge for arrival. Lovely setting and shame we were only there for a week.
Tips:The main tip for travellers is to book this place! For activities, be flexible with plans. The varied weather in general on the island can mean certain activities can’t be done to get the full effect. Eg some of the walks need to be mist free to be able to see the views, so best to wait/take the opportunity when the time arises and have contingency plans.

Beautiful, comfortable and well maintained accommodation, and could not fault in any way. Cleanliness to a high standard and every detail thought through well. Did not want for anything during our stay. Stunning views from picture windows was icing on the cake.
Tips:Plenty to do and see over the island if planned well, so that you can visit some beautiful parts. Stunning and beautiful scenes, and a hill walkers paradise.Nearest town for variety of restaurants is Portree but they do require to be planned to ensure booking due to current Covid guidance.

Lovely spacious property with modern decor, overlooking Staffin Bay. Immaculately presented and with high attention to Covid prevention at present.
Tips:Great base for exploring the Trotternish area. Old Man of Storr, Dinosaur fossil footprints. Lots of stunning viewpoints within two or three miles and along the road to Portree. Good food at Columba 1400 but only available as takeaway whilst restrictions apply. Super cottage. Location 16 miles north of Portree, so away from a town, which suited us. There’s a shop in the village which is useful.
