We only take weekly bookings Sat-Sat. Hawthorn Dene is a traditional croft cottage in Torrin, near Broadford on the Isle of Skye, ideal for a tranquil getaway for up to 4 people.
The cosy cottage is surrounded by stunning countryside and Cuillin mountain views and lies within a large and secure dog-friendly garden. The traditional Skye white detached 1½-storey croft house has a homely, country feel. Torrin lies on the shores of Loch Slapin and is overlooked by the mighty Blà Bheinn or Blaven ‘blue mountain’.
There are two bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin) and a bathroom upstairs. Up to 2 dogs.Room Facilities:

The cottage was in a great location and was extremely cosy.Lovely garden to sit and listen to the birds and watch the bats at night.Doug and Chloe have a lovely cottage and inside was spotless with all the facilities you need.Hopefully we can return.
Tips:Just a few minutes down the road you came to Amy's place which has excellent coffee and cakes and some lovely gifts,then just down from Amy's was Mrs macks wee takeaway which has excellent food,i would recommend the chicken fillet burger and chips.It was also a short drive to Elgol where you could visit the bistro or the Elgol cafe,both with stunning views.Would recommend a drive up to the coral beach at Dunvegan, where we were lucky enough to spot some seals,but be prepared for a half hour walk from the carpark to the beach,but definitely worth it.

Hawthorn Dene Cottage is situated in a quiet location away from the busy areas of Skye but also within easy reach of the more tourist areas. The garden was great for the dogs and walks nearby.
Tips:Within the village there are local walks and Amys Cafe and Mrs Mack’s food van which were great.

Great location and comfortable stay, brilliant communication with host, cottage lacks for nothing. My brother his dog Mac and I had an amazing chilled out break and used the cottage as a base to tour the island. Sky's never fails to disappoint and this cottage is definitely a great location to travel the island from. Thank you for allowing us to experience this lovely location in comfort.

We loved our stay at Hawthorn Dene, well located conveniently to Broadford yet tucked away. Everything you need. Lovely and cosy. Very comfortable bed.
Tips:Near Amy's Place, just down the road - worth a visit.
