3rd December 2025:
This was absolutely one of the best homes we’ve ever stayed in! The view is outstanding! It is cozy, warm and well equipped. The kitchen is stocked with everything you could need to make all your meals, tea and coffee . The welcome basket of fruit and snacks was a big win for my hungry kiddos, before we could head to the grocery store! My children had plenty of indoor and outdoor space to roam and be children. The perfect ending to our evening was a home cooked dinner and a wonderful fire. My little ones also loved the soaking tub after hiking! We look forward to staying here again very soon.
Tips:The local grocery store is well equipped and just 5 mins away. Many restaurants close early so be prepared to have an early dinner. Download you maps prior to traveling off wifi, service can go in and out on the isle. Look for morning rainbows on the horizon!

The accommodation is superb! Spotless, very nicely appointed. Beds were very comfortable. The location is super quiet and relaxing. The vista is beautiful overlooking a large valley. The patio is perfect for morning coffee and wildlife sighting. (We saw doe and fawn one evening 100 meters away). The real wood burning barbecue beside the house is perfect for authentic grilling. The COOP 10 minutes away in town is ideal for stocking up and having great home cooked meals. All the appliances were like brand new and functioned perfectly as designed. We only stayed two nights but wished we could have stayed more. There was not a single thing we could have wished for to make our stay any better!
Tips:Stop in Portree on the way out and shop for the foodstuffs you will cook/prepare. There was a welcome wine and beer in the refrigerator, milk and 1/2 dozen eggs. Thank you!

We are a couple with a young adult daughter, and this house exceeded all our expectations. The accommodation is beautifully designed and finished to an exceptionally high standard, with every detail thoughtfully considered for comfort. Our hosts were welcoming, informative, and truly made us feel at home. We had gone shopping before arriving, so we didn’t use all of the thoughtful welcome supplies, but we really appreciated the gesture. Although we spent much of our time exploring the Isle of Skye, we wished we could have stayed longer to fully enjoy the peace and tranquility surrounding the house. A truly unforgettable stay!

House was immaculate. Everything you could wish for. Fresh flowers to welcome you, milk in the fridge so you can make that first cup of tea. Views to rival any accommodation. Fantastic WiFi. High end finishes. Early morning tea/coffee on the patio in the silence of the area is magical. Location is amazing. We loved everything about Stag House. It’s an easy 10/10 from us
Tips:It’s worth getting up early to see the sunrise from the old man of storr. Avoid the car park rush and the crowds. We had the area more or less to ourselves. Petrol station at the bottom of the main track - so no panics there. Keep your eyes peeled for the deer that come near to the house

Stag Moor House exceeded our expectations. The online pictures are lovely, but they don't convey the warm welcome that fresh flowers bring. Nor do they give you a sense of the other hospitable touches provided: fragrant Highland-made soaps and lotions, yummy candy, binoculars (to watch the deer frolic in the meadow), and plenty of firewood for use indoors and outdoors in the pizza oven. The location is ideal for those who would like to be close to the conveniences of a town, yet still be in a place where nature is literally at your doorstep. Stag Moor House is as comfortable and cozy as it gets. Thank you Sean and Fiona for creating this joyful place.

Five stars are not enough! The Stag Moor House was the PERFECT home base for our family of five's (2 adults, 3 teens) Isle of Skye adventures. The location is convenient for a quick trip to Portree for eating out, shopping, or buying groceries. PLUS it is convenient to looping the island for great hikes and adventures. The highlights were: THE VIEW!!! from the home, a full washer and dryer in a beautiful laundry room, spacious bedrooms with comfortable beds, luxury restrooms, modern furniture and conveniences (like an Amazon Echo Alexa Speaker), parking directly next to the front door, a cozy wood burning fireplace for evenings spent relaxing and enjoying the view! Hosts communicated efficiently and were very helpful.
Tips:Don't hesitate. Book Stag Moor House NOW!

An absolute gem. The house is beautiful modern and extremely clean. The fresh flowers at check in.l were a nice touch. The grounds and landscape was breathtaking. The owner was friendly and flexible. This was such a fantastic home! My in-laws were visiting from Colorado and were absolutely smitten with the home, the views, and Skye as a whole. Everything at Stag Moor was well-thought out, intentional, and just absolutely superb. We loved the QR code with the local guide and recommendations too. We will definitely be visiting again!

Luxurious property in a stunning location. Wonderful home to relax in after a day sightseeing and the kitchen made preparing food a delight. Lovely and warm and easy to control heating. Loved sitting in the evenings looking out the floor to ceiling windows for wildlife.
Tips:A short distance from Portree where there are shops/ bards and restaurants. Very quiet and peaceful location.

Stag Moor House was an incredible place to stay during our first visit to Skye. The place was inviting, immaculate and the views were phenomenal. The hospitality and personal touches were very much appreciated. Having a toddler, we loved how baby-proofed the place was, while still being beautifully staged. We also loved the layout, as the rooms were separated from the main living area making it easy to still watch TV/listen to music while the baby slept! Thank you for having us!
Tips:Stag Moor House is perfectly situated in Isle of Skye making it very easy to see and do many things even in a short time! We loved the Fairy Pools, Fairy Glen, walking around Portree and driving the scenic northern loop. We can’t wait to return!

We enjoyed our stay at the Stag Moor House very much! The apartment is beautiful and very clean. The view is beautiful and the location was perfect to start day trips anywhere on the island. Sean was very friendly and responded quickly to support us. We would definitely recommend the stay and would love to come back one day.
