Location was perfect, remote enough where you were located right within the quiet gorgeous landscape but close enough to Portree where you can make a quick trip into town for a meal or groceries. Personal touches by the Host like leaving snacks and a note on the board for our stay made it even more inviting and enjoyable.

Quality location and decor and excellent customer service. Attention to detail and hospitality package so simple but added to the arrival and meant so much. Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in a high quality venue in a beautiful part of the island. Only one thing missing for me, a wardrobe of some description but with the beautiful decor and furniture not sure where you could accommodate this. Perfect stay, perfect holiday, a place I’ll always remember and rebook.

Oyster shed a must and Talisker distillery. Prince of India was very personable and food tasty but check your bill as put a tenner on mine!!!

Wunderschönes Apartment, sehr sauber und alles vorhanden was man braucht. Als wir ankamen lief leise Musik, es war schön warm und überall brannten kleine Lampen. Ankommen und wohlfühlen!!! Im Kühlschrank lagen Lebensmittel worüber wir uns sehr gefreut haben, somit brauchten wir an diesem Abend nicht mehr raus und konnten unser Apartment genießen. Wir würden es jedem weiter empfehlen.

We stayed in the Fada apartment for 4 nights and could not have been happier. We referred to it as home as it truly felt that way. It was designed well, comfortable and beautiful. Having a washer and dryer halfway through a 14 day trip was a godsend. The refrigerator was stocked with essentials to get you through and everything was literally perfect. If you’re considering staying, please do. You will not be disappointed but more likely, amazed.

Having a kitchen allowed us to go to the coop and make some meals for ourselves which is a nice break from having to eat out every night. Locally, Old Man of Storr is 2 miles away. We enjoyed Fairy Glen and Fairy pools but a must is to drive to Neist Point. It is spectacular. We also cruised with the Seaflower Skye for an incredibly enjoyable day.

We were happy with our stay. The place is a bit out there... I think that 350 punds a night is steep and took the place because I reserved late and couldnt find other offerings. But that is my preference.

Keep in mind that the weather can be harsh. And that the Isle of Skye can be rainy and it takes quite a while to get there from Edinburgh - about 6-7 hours driving.

Everything that this apartment promised online was true. In fact it may have even been better than they said. We stayed in the top floor apartment. All the windows in the front had a amazing view of the lake. Old Man of Storr was ten minutes down the road. You could see it from the front yard. There is only one other house across the street so it is very private. It was extremely quiet at night. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Having a full kitchen as well as a washer and dryer was amazing. It was great to be able to come in and have everything you need. We ate breakfast there each morning. There was a large tub/shower combo. Water pressure was good and hot water plentiful. It was well decorated and the host had it set up with flowers, wine and had stocked the fridge with some necessities so we didn't have to go to the grocery store right away. It was an amazing, peaceful oasis. You should definitely stay in this place.

Portree is about ten minutes away. It is a great town and has everything you may need. It also has good shopping. There are so many things to see on Skye which are less than an hour away from the apartment. Stop by Untethered on your way to Portree. It is the best coffee shop in the world and has amazing views from the picnic tables.

I wholeheartedly, recommend Store apartments and the father apartment to anyone visiting Store with the intention of exploring the northern Isle of sky! Fiona and her staff were impeccable in their thoughtfulness and preparation for our arrival, leaving snacks, a bottle of wine and chocolates in the apartment. When our train was delayed and we had trouble getting Our transfer, Fiona stayed up and assisted until she knew we were safe and sound inside the apartment. I felt very well taken care of. The apartment itself was a little slice of heaven with the perfect view of sunrise over a Glass still Loch Fada. People wishing to hurriedly see Skye we’ll start driving by the apartment around 9 AM. This provides ample opportunity for early risers to use this strategic location to visit the old man of the store and bridal Belle Falls before the crowds arrive. We did not have a car which made the logistics of planning for a taxi really important as part of our trip Fiona recommended several tax companies, but our favorite by far was Lynx Taxi and the proprietor,. Paul was a knowledgeable guide as well as an accommodating driver.

Those who have a car this is the most ideal way to catch up on the north. Just be wary of crazy drivers and one track roads. The Portree hotel offered incredible vegetarian options. Bringing some supplies with you from Kyle is advantageous for a longer stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Storr Apartments. I have nothing negative to say about the place. The location was great - beautiful and peaceful and within site of the Old Man of Storr formation. The accommodations were superb, well-designed, imaginative, and relaxing. The place was well-stocked for breakfast the following morning and also with numerous snacks and even a good bottle of wine. We got rained out one of our days and the Storr Apartment was the perfect place to hole up for the day, dine in, drink wine, and just enjoy the perfect shelter from the storm. As the apartment is set slightly away from Portree town a hire car is definitely recommended.There is a good selection of shops ,pubs and restaurants in Portree and just outside main town there is a large Co-op and for those possible wet days a small cinema and theatre. Great spot for accessing good walks including the wonderful circular walk around Old Mann of Storr.

Gorgeous accommodation and very thoughtful and delicious welcome pack. Beautiful touches including wine, flowers and music on arrival made this very special. And such a brilliant location. We were cosy and warm, and having such a retreat at the end of every day made our Skye experience even more special.

Heading away from the main tourist loops is my best advice. There are hidden gems if you venture further afield.

Very quaint and cozy place to stay- loved how it was decorated not in a location you can walk to things but drive is short. The place was generously stocked with fresh eggs, gourmet bread, cheese and fruit to get you started.

There’s a Co-op in town of Port Tree to grab food etc you would need for your stay before driving out to location.

We stayed here on our honeymoon and this was our favorite place that we stayed over the course of our two-week trip. The space is beautifully decorated and luxurious. It is stocked with everything you need to have your own little oasis up by Old Man of Storr. The staff were very helpful when I had a couple questions upon arrival. They went above and beyond and left us with welcome gifts for our honeymoon. I would definitely recommend this place to any travelers and would absolutely stay there again. Thank you for everything!

The only tip I have is that you will need a car to stay here. One night we did have dinner in Portree and struggled to get a cab home. The place isn't walkable from Portree.

Absolutely brilliant stay, Fiona thought of everything, so many little extra touches. Very comfy bed, everything worked well, facilities all top quality. Great location, just a few minutes drive from Portree and views of Old Man of Storr in addition to the Lake. We will return!

Note down emergency vehicle recovery details, some of the roads in Skye down to the amazing locations (claigan coral beaches, fairy pools) are really bad and I burst a tyre! Luckily a local company called Ewan Mcrae sorted me out, and mentioned they get several 100 callouts a week. We particularly loved dining at Scorrybreac. Amazing food.

The Fada apartment was beyond every expectation. We arrived to soft lighting, soft music, and gifts of wine and fruit. No detail was overlooked and we had every need covered during our stay. The apartment, and bed, was extremely comfortable and the view amazing! We would definitely love to come back.

We had no idea just how remarkable our time there would be! We knew from the pictures the apartment was beautiful inside , but the location out in the highlands was beyond what we were expecting …and then the service from our host was even better than that! There was soft music playing and fresh food waiting !! Unbelievable , so many many things to praise it would take to much time. We really appreciated the washing Mac. Do to our many hikes around Skye, (sometimes in the rain. ) extraordinary we cannot wait to come back.

Selfishly, We hate to say “book it as fast as you can” and stay at least a week! “ because we don’t want it to be so popular we couldn’t get a spot in the future , but, we can’t lie ITS MAGICAL!!!!!!! And the hosts are the best! Location location location

We had an absolutely memorable stay at Storr Apartments in Fada. It is in the most perfect location and simply the best choice on Skye for a self catered location. It is quiet, homely and luxuriously relaxing. The bed was extra comfortable and we were well rested after each day of exploring. The weather wasn’t the best during our stay, fortunately it was clear when we arrived so I got a great shot of Old Man of Storr. Fiona made us feel so welcome and was available for any queries we had. The very generous welcome hamper was also appreciated, we were even able to make our lunches before each day out. We would definitely recommend this fabulous apartment and really hope we have an opportunity to return one day

We had hoped to climb the Old Man of Storr but the weather didn’t allow this. We enjoyed a big drive around the island, also managed to visit Talisker Distillery, Fairy pools and Elean Donan Castle. The deli in town called Relish made the best coffees and also does rolls and packed lunches if your looking for some tasty extras for your day trip.

The Storr apartments are truly a wonderful stay and experience on the Isle of Skye. From the stunninng views of Loch Fada (right across the street from the apartment!) and the Old Man of Storr to the convenient lcoation (10 minutes to Portree), this is the only choice for lodging when staying on Skye. We walked into the apartment to music playing, a refrigerator stocked with items for a tasty breakfast and a chalkboard with a personalized greating. Just perfect. Do yourself a favor and stay here when visiting.. you will not be disappointed!

The apartment has everything you need for a great stay on the isle Skye. All the home appliances we needed for a home from home .If the day is particularly dismal and weather to bad to go out. You would still be able to chill and relax with a fabulous view and a bottle of wine Everything you need to know about the apartment is in a very useful file

We found the apartment an ideal location to get to all parts of the island by car, set in a beautiful location on the banks of loch Fada with its own parking spot next to it , I think about 3 miles outside Portree ,and away from any other homes , we actually stocked up with petrol and food and the large co op at Broadford, but Portree has lots of cafes a pub and also a coop for food. We found the TV and satellite signals were intermittent and had trouble connecting at times , but didn’t bother us but if you plan just to chill it could be an issue in bad weather We loved the apartment and found it very functional

Expensive but worth it! Stunning location slightly compromised by heavy traffic (but it was peak season). Beautifully designed and executed apartment with a "post industrial" theme, carried through to every detail. If possible, more storage space for clothes would be good. Very comfortable bed. We slept blissfully! Well equipped kitchen with many complimentary goodies including milk, bread, biscuits, fruit, butter, orange juice etc. etc. The bathroom is beautiful to look at, but taking a shower is a little challenging. Fiona was always available by text or phone and answered our queries most helpfully. A great stay, in an unforgettable place.

We enjoyed a lunch at the Cuchullin restaurant. Very nicely prepared fresh fish. We'd advise anyone to avoid the Royal Hotel at all costs. We went there on the spur of the moment for dinner. It was a big mistake! If you want to walk to the Storr, be aware that the car park there gets full very quickly in high season.

The apartment is beautifully furnished and decorated with attention to detail. You will be welcomed with music and great food (bread, cheese, wine, fruit etc.). A small downside is the lack of storage space in the bathroom and the busy road. We'll be back definitely. :-)

Fiona was gracious and supplied the apartment with snacks, eggs and milk. The bathroom even had cleansing products you would expect from a spa. The apartment is beautiful and spacious. It has everything you could possible need a washer,dryer,a small frig,freezer,iron and fan. The view is amazing as well. I loved looking out at the Loch and watching the sheep across the street. If you want to enjoy the outdoors there's a deck with a picnic table My husband and I stayed in the Fada apartment.

A fifteen minute drive you can drive into Portree to eat. We at at the Rosedale hotel and Antlers Bar & Grill ( Portree Hotel). Both restaurants served delicious food. I was able to eat even with a gluten-free and lactose restriction. Looking outside from the apartment you can see The Old Man of Storr, which is a short drive.You can park down below and do the hour hike up or go further up to the top view. While visiting at the Isle of Skye we went to Talisker Distiiery.They have a great tour. We also went to Dunvegan Castle. This was an amazing vacation/ belated honeymoon!

The fada apartment is just beautiful! Arrivi g on a freezing night when it was warm and cosy, lamps glowing and gentle classical music playing was delightful. The fresh flowers, welcome message on the blackboard and even a box of Maltesers really shows us you cared about our stay with you and it couldn't have been any better. Every detail was well thought out and immaculately presented. Quiet, gentle sophistication. Thank you SO much.

The information you left on all the things to see and do was really helpful. Our tip would be to not try to cram too much in so that each glorious area can be appreciated. The snow you organised for us gave the whole island a special reflective quality and allowed for silence which you don't often have today.

I couldn't believe how well presented the apartment was. The finishing touches were all so carefully considered and felt above and beyond. We have already recommended the apartment to friends and family, and cannot wait to return ourselves.

We visited as many things as we could, but an absolute highlight was getting up early to get to the Fairy Pools at dawn. Even though the weather was absolutely awful, it was still a magical experience.
