The apartment was easy to find and on arrival the parking was close to the house and easily accessible. We had a lovely welcome pack of fresh juice, milk and a chocolate orange! The style and furnishings of the apartment were so tasteful and thought out. The cleanliness was outstanding, and the apartment was cosy and warm, and the king size bed was very comfortable, the bedding and towns were lovely, and the black out blinds in the bedroom made it snug and quiet. It had a washing machine/dryer and iron/board which was needed as the weather was challenging and we often got soaked to the skin, so we could wash and dry our walking clothes easily. The apartment is so close to the heart of Portree, so we could walk down for drinks and dinner. Also it was a good base to explore the Island, which is absolutely stunning. Home Farm offered everything we needed for our first visit to Skye and it added to our enjoyment.

The Portree Hotel does some lovely food and the Isles Inn gives you a welcome taste of local life and beer.

This was a very quaint and centrally located apartment for a short stay on the Isle of Skye. Our hosts were very gracious and provided us all of the necessities we needed for our stay. The instructions provided were easy to follow to gain access to our apartment. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed to make our stay complete. We would definitely recommend staying here again.

The Storr, the Fairy Glen, the Fairy Pools and the Relish restaurant were our highlights. Anything out of doors was fantastic to see and do.

We have spent two amazing days in Home farm apartments. The furnishement and facilities are perfect. It’s easy to reach and you can park in their parking area. The owner is rwady to help you whatever you need.

I recommend to stay in Home farm apartments, perfect apartment closed to the main places to visit in Skye. You can reach the center if the town in 5 minuts walking. Café arriba is a nice place for breakfast, Gasta pizzeria ( 5 minuts by car) is a delicious restaurant. And Rosedale bar and restaurant is top!!

The apartment was fine for our short stay. Everything necessary was provided. The only improvement I could suggest would be that the shower arm does not stay up so you can’t properly direct the water. The bed was a bit small and uncomfortable for us, so that might be something to consider although the room is small to fit a larger bed in. Maybe a new mattress might help? Otherwise everything was fine.

Lovely, very homey and modern. Great tub and shower with plenty of hot water for 4 adults. Well stocked kitchen. We loved our two night stay. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

Mackenzie Bakery, Chippys red tent by waterfront. All nicer restaurants you need reservations. If not you will find most all you need at COOP. Expect drive times to be twice as long as you would normally drive. The Oyster Shed was amazing- Parking can be an issue. Skye Candle Company and pizza restaurant was excellent.

Lovely little apartment, central location on Skye - plenty of (very) hot water (be careful!) for baths after long walks.

Cuchullin restaurant is 10 min walk for excellent seafood. Other recommendations? So many fabulous walks. If you go to Fairy Pools go early to be sure of a oarking space. Worth it.

Very nice apartment close to the center on foot. The apartment is tastefully decorated and has high quality. Beds are very comfortable and we had everything we needeed for a good breakfast.If I return to Portree I will rent again this apartment without hesitation.

Portree is a very cute village where you can fond good restaurants but don’t Forget to book because there are always full. Sleeping on Portree is ideal also for visiting the Isle of Skye

Lovely flat. Well equipped, clean and cozy. The shower (4/5 stars) was acting up but Joe was able to help us reset it over the phone, thank you! The bath plug was not working unfortunately but not a big deal. Lovely instruction book, cute cute. Thank you very much!!

Confy beds, everything you need to cook and even wash your clothes. Outside seating in the garden, parking space and really simple check-in/checkout. So cosy that we decided to cook in the flat instead of going to a restaurant!

Great apartment that is an easy walk to Portree. They provided many of the amenities that made us feel right a home.

Important to make your reservations for restaurants ahead of time. There were a few places that didn’t need reservations but you had to get there early. Luckily if all else fails this apartment has a fairly well equipped kitchen and the COOP is within walking distance. The walk around The Lump was a highlight.

L'emplacement est parfait, même s'il manquait une vue. Il est au calme, à proximité du centre ville, et central pour les visites. L'appartement est très bien équipé et décoré. Le mobilier est douillet, mais nous n'avons pas apprécié le confort du canapé. Le tarif est cher.

Quiraing, Neist Point, le littoral Nord et Ouest. Nous ne sommes restés que 2 nuits.

Lovely light and airy apartment with everything you need & a few extras, for a few days in Portree. It is close enough to walk to cafes and restaurants in the lovely town Centre of Portree. Two cosy bedrooms upstairs with roof windows for air flow and the beds were very comfortable. Thank you to Heather who assisted us when we needed a little help.

We had a lovely stay at the Home Farm Apartments. The apartment is very cosy and had everything we needed. It is about 10 minutes walk into the centre. We would stay again.

Book restaurants for dinner. Check opening times. Some restaurants are closed on Sunday and Mondays The Birch restaurant is lovely for breakfast The old man of Storr is worth the climb. Bring rain gear if it is wet. The fairy glen is magical.

Our Home Farm Apartments was the perfect stay for our family. The apartment had all the amenities we needed, especially laundry facilities. The location is close to the main town center but far enough away where it is nice and quiet. The apartment was very comfortable and allowed our family to spread out. Check in process was clear and easy. The breakfast provided hit the spot. Highly recommended!

Chargrill at Marmalade is great and literally 10 steps away. Unfortunately, our morning started before many of the coffee shops opened so if possible, you can stock up the previous day at the Coop for fruit, yogurt, and pastries.

Definitely a home from home. Comfy beds and fluffy towels. Loved the little touches….tea/coffee/starter basket, the milk, orange juice and the wine - thank you SO much. Great location for all the places we wanted to see on Skye and Isle of Raasay. Easy walking distance into the town centre for local bars and restaurants. And easy walking to the big Co-op although we usually took the car. Would definitely recommend to others!

We booked the renowned The Three Chimneys and it did not disappoint. You will need a car to get to it but we took in Dunvegan Castle and Gardens on the way there. We picked up the majority of our groceries at M&S and Aldi in Fort William retail park, although there’s a fairly big Co-Op in Portree for bread/milk. We did see lots of Tesco delivery vans coming from the mainland - so booking a shop and drop may be worthwhile. We loved the Fairy Glen and the Glenbrittle Fairy Pools - take your costume!! We travelled over to Isle of Raasay and did Calum’s Road and the walk along the headland. We also visited the distillery there too. So much to see and do - we didn’t cover everything in our week stay. Fabulous holiday and great accommodation!

The only improvement would be a booklet on how to work the various appliances in the kitchen. For example we gave up trying to use the cooker, not realizing one needed to turn on the switch (labeled cooker, but we didn’t see it). Different countries have slightly different appliances so a ‘how to’ would be great. Other than that, excellent.

We missed a coffee maker, which is important for some of us. And my friend found some little rubbish under her little nightstand. The dinner table was sticky. But other than that, it was a pleasant stay in your apartment.

The 3 apartments we rented were excellent. Walking distance from Portree, great facilities, comfortable and clean. Didn't meet any staff/hosts but had no issues, so no need. There was a very friendly cat in the gardens most days. Would definitely stay again.

Es hat alles gut geklappt. Die Wohnung ist sehr stilvoll gestaltet. Die Geräte in der Küche sind hervorragend. Allerdings könnte die Ausstattung mit Geschirr etwas umfangreicher sein. Die Betten sind recht weich.

Lower Deck im Hafen und das Portree Hotel sind zum Essen sehr zu empfehlen. Es gibt viele tolle Wanderwege. Sehr schön ist Quiaring-Tour und der Old Man of Storr.

The house is in a good location. It's a decent size for 4 people with all modcons including dishwasher with tablets, washing machine, detergent and clothes dryer. We were provided with tea, coffee, biscuits, milk, sugar, hot chocolate, instant porridge and orange juice which was a lovely touch and greatly appreciated! My only complaints are as follows. The bathroom door needs to be sanded down in order to close without force being applied. There was an empty diffuser in the bathroom and we weren't provided with sufficient toilet paper for the length of our stay. The use by date on the pint of milk left for us was the date we arrived and there were what appeared to be biscuit crumbs at the bottom of the coffee table when we arrived. A mop and clothes drying rack for delicate items would have been welcome additions. These are minor issues which can easily be resolved.

We hired electric bikes from Skye e-bikes which was a great way to see some of the island. Book restaurants early to avoid disappointment.

Fantastic little place! The little touches were so well thought through, like providing dishwasher tablets, laundry liquid and detergent, a tumble dryer, all the kitchen utensils and even Sky TV! The broadband was excellent too, making a change from standard hotel speeds. Beds were nice and comfy and the bathroom is a good size. We will definitely stay here again if we can!

The Skye co-op is around the corner, and the main square in Portree is walking distance too. If you are planning on cooking make sure to take a bit of cooking oil and/or butter with you.

Hassle free check in and out and thoughtful supplies of porridge , tea, coffee , milk and fresh orange juice.

5 minute walk into town with a large selection of eateries and pubs. The Isles Inn, 1820 and The Rosedale are worth a visit. We enjoyed a boat tour to see seals and sea eagles run by Stardust boat tours. The Old man of Storr is 20 min drive by car and an adventurous walk with amazing views. The Quairaing like wise. The fairy pools Dunvegan Castle and Uig are worth visiting. Bring midge repellant for summer months for outdoor activities !!!

Absolutely gem of a place to stay. We booked last minute, (2 adults and 2 kids) accommodation is difficult to find at the moment on the islands, and was not expecting anything exceptional. We were wrong. Home farm apartments are so homely and comfortable it’s easy to forget your not in your own place. These are more than apartments, they are lovely small houses with your own door and bedrooms upstairs. All the necessities are already here, tea, coffee, milk etc The location is great, just a few minutes walk to centre of Portree. Even got all our holiday clothes washed and dried in our apartment before leaving so not bogged down with it when we get home. Parking on site, each place is fenced off giving more privacy We look forward to returning next year Thank you for a great stay and very relaxing

Wife and I had lovely 2 night stay at Home Farm Appts. Accommodation was fabulous. Very modern set up with all the facilities needed to self accommodate. Everywhere was spotless on arrival and communication with host was first class. Highly recommended for either a short or longer term break in Skye. Portree town is a short walk - booking recommended to eat out! Plenty of good walking trails and anything sailing / fishing if that’s your thing!

Definitely book ahead to eat out as there are limitations on places to eat!
