The manager (Mark I think) was very friendly and helpful when we arrived.(I had failed to see an email with the door code).We all liked our rooms and found the breakfast interesting and adequate (despite being told that B&B only indicated the room initially). To have a fridge was a bonus. It was great to be able to use the large room facing the garden to eat our take-away, but we felt bad at not being able to wash up after.

Before breakfast I strolled through Kyleakin to the castle (though high tide prevented me crossing the last bay) and discovered how attractive the harbour is from the higher road over a little bridge. I also enjoyed watching an otter eating fish from that same bridge and 2 Great Northern Divers off shore.The guest house itself is surrounded by splendid greenery and was full of birdsong (and a bat at 06:35!) An Indian Take away just up the road was handy and good.

Nice base for exploring Skye ( I was on a 3 day organised tour) Room was basic but nice and light with all necessary amenities for a short trip (stayed 2 nights). Perhaps a small bottle of milk in the fridge might have been nice but I mostly ate my own breakfast from local Co-Op. Shower had good water pressure which was a bonus for me. Bed was a little uncomfortable in the middle as there was a bit of a seam due to being a King bed but fine for just me.

Explore all that Skye has to offer! Beautiful part of the world!

Stayed here in 2021 the place was a disaster. The owner was rude and the place was falling apart, broken windows in the dining area, roof leaked in the landing and the smell of mould was terrible. Now in 2024 the place has been transformed. The new manager was so helpful and friendly. The house is very clean with spacious rooms, great off road parking. A great place to stay to start your Isle of Skye adventure.

It’s a short walk to nearby restaurants and Saucy Mary’s bar is a great place to eat. Friendly staff and locals and dogs welcome. Plenty of parking if you don’t want to take the short walk. Great view of the bridge.

Warm and cosy stay at a very clean and convenient place.

Co-op is just 4 mins away from the guest house. Spice of India is a 5 to 10 mins walk from the place and opened till 11pm and the food tastes good. We covered the whole island from a day, but if need to do more hiking 2 days would be better. Places: Old man of storr, Kilt rock, Jurassic Dinosaur foot print, Quiraing, Fairy glen, Fairy pools, Museum of Island life

The Guest house was excellent: the cleanliness was perfect, immaculate, the room decoration was soft very beautiful, very cosy. The place has fields to walk the dog, I suggested a "place" to dispose the dog waste. Easy access to the house, to the place, good location. 2nd day we thought we had forgotten the key, tried to contact the warden no one answered.

Places to eat: cafe Sia was the best place with good pizzas and the only place with real tea. The restaurant of Broadford Hotel was nice too (not the pub). Don't miss Aird of Sleat, Fairy pools worths while for the walk and landscape.

Very comfortable, warm and spotlessly clean room, in a handy location for Kyleakin and the Skye Bridge. The room had a great shower and the selection of complimentary snacks and cereal was excellent. Good value for money.

A lot of the bars, shops and restaurants in Kyleakin and Kyle of Lochalsh were closed for winter still, so I’d advise calling ahead to check if you are visiting the area in the next few weeks. Kyleakin doesn’t seem to have a shop, either, so it might be a good idea to pick up anything you need from the Co-op in Kyle of Lochalsh before crossing the bridge.

Excellent couple of nights 🙂 Spotlessly clean, comfy beds, modern bathroom with good, walk in shower. Thoughtful extras e.g.selection of cereals, milk in mini fridge, yoghurts, tea, coffee, hot chocolate. Staff welcoming and friendly. Due to mobility difficulties I asked if it was possible to stay in a ground floor room, which they were able and happy to accommodate my request; this made things much easier for me including being able to park right next to the entrance. Second time I've stayed here and won't hesitate to book again when I'm next in the area. Very good value for money. Thank you so much 🙂

It is a perfect location, just over the bridge on the Isle of Skye. With self entry (extremely easy and helpful directions how to enter) this makes it simple after a long drive from Glasgow or elsewhere. The room was spacious and clean, well stocked with amenities and choices of coffees, teas and hot chocolate, as well as snacks, treats and breakfast options to enjoy! We only stayed one night but we were very comfortable and wish we had more time to stay longer!

Very nice place to stay. Rooms and bathroom nice and clean. The self catering breakfast in your room was good. Nice choice of cereal to choose from. If you wanted more they was additional cereals on the landing to help yourself with. Good value for money.

The tourist attraction are about 50 minutes away such as the Fairy pools and Talisker Distillery which wasn’t a problem. Lovely local restaurant is the Red Skye. Lovely staff and nice food.

The Skye Guest House was a welcome sight after our first driving experience in the dark in Scotland on (some) miles of single track roads! Our room was cozy and warm and well-appointed. We appreciated the coffee service and the selection of breakfast items for us before we set off again the following day.

We had a good dinner after a short windy walk at the Legend of Saucy Mary restaurant.

Stayed in a spacious double room in the Annexe which is situated next to the main house in the large gardens/grounds. You can park right outside the Annexe and is clearly signed with easy, well lit access. Spotlessly clean, smart, nicely furnished with a modern ensuite. The walk in shower faultlessly provided a plentiful supply of hot water under good pressure. Nice extra touches in room e.g. different teas, coffee, biscuits, cereals with fresh milk and yogurts in a useful mini fridge. Heating was easy to adjust plus a comfy bed resulted in a good night's sleep. I would very happily stay here again and think the owners & staff are doing a great job in providing an excellent standard of accommodation.

Very nice quiet location on Skye, big family room 16 was excellent for myself and the dog. The room Is huge. Walked in to some amazing goodies on arrival And they were delicious. Big tv in the room. Excellent facilities , very reasonably priced for Skye, I went to chill out and this place is perfect. Summer season may be different but I would definitely recommend staying here . Unfortunately in November there are very limited choices for places to eat within walking distance. Saucy Mary’s was awful and very expensive. The local pub’s menu was very limited and nothing fresh on it. The Indian restaurant was the best choice, the food was good and it was fairly reasonable. Other places in Broadfoot but you need to drive.

Lovely room, it had all we needed, including a very comfortable bed and a fridge with breakfast foods! A little roomier than most we have found in Scotland. We recommend a stay!

Finding a place to eat on Monday night is very difficult, most places are not open. We did the Broadford tavern Monday night and had an excellent burger and chips. Tuesday night we went back to the Broadford restaurant for wonderful fish and chips and scallops. But be sure you plan ahead!

What a wonderful, quaint guest house. The rooms were stacked with so many breakfast options. The whole house was clean as a whistle and the location can not be beat!

We had dinner on the waterfront, just a short walk from the guest house. Even got to see a harbor seal fishing for his dinner. Do not miss the fairy pools, but get there early so that you will be able to find a parking spot. Anywhere you drive you’ll be awe struck by the natural beauty of the Isle.

We needed to fill our water bottles but could not get them under the room tap. The women cleaning offered to help and fill our bottles in the main house. She was quite nice and very accommodating. I do think the flooring in our room (#16 garden) could use to be replaced. It is warped and leave a bad impression (in particular for the cost of the room)

Note that many restaurants are closed on Monday so be sure to book ahead if you are choosy about where you eat.

Lovely guest home! The brightness of the room was amazing, loved having our windows that opened! Check in and out was flawlessly easy. One area for improvement - an extra shelf in the bathroom would be great, and another one in the bedroom for the breakfast stuff to sit on. Otherwise brilliant and those small improvements made little difference (window ledges were nice and big for toiletries) There is a downstairs drying room - can you bring them outside (the racks) to catch the sun and breeze?

Amazing Guest house, Hassle free self checking, Amazing welcome treats along with a personal message. Overall had a marvelous experience, would recommend it to everyone, you can book it blindly and just enjoy.

Talisker distillery is just half an hours drive away, but gets booked before hand. Make sure to book the distillery tour in advance. Eilean Donnan castle is also just half an hour drive away. multiple eating options in just 5-10 minutes walking distance, but kitchen shuts at 7 pm local time and resturant itself shuts by 8 pm, so make sure you plan accordingly. but there are many convenience stores near by from where you can get ready to cook meals and heat them in the microwave at the common dining area of the guest house.

Couldn't fault anything about our stay at the Isle of Skye Guest House. My rating of a "4" for service/staff is because we didn't need any help and didn't see anyone. I am sure had there been a need we would have been attended to immediately. We all loved the self-serve breakfast. Great idea.

The Isle of Skye offers so much, but without doubt the BEST was our all-day drive through the Cuillins. Continuous breath -taking scenery around every bend.

From the initial enquiry to checking out, everything was perfect. Jade and Craig could not have done more for us. Our bedroom was large and spotlessly clean (huge jacuzzi on bathroom!) with really comfy beds, and linen. There were various breakfast cereals, porridge and fresh milk in our fridge. Not forgetting the delicious tunnocks tea cake! Location was fabulous, just over the Skye bridge. We stored our e-bikes in the bike lock-up which was ideal. We will definitely be back and next time it will be for longer!

A good, clean guest house for a family stay. Good room for the 4 of us, with a seating area. The fridge and packaged breakfast items were good but we wished you did a hot breakfast option. Great information pack on Skye and things to do whilst on the island.

Head to Portree and the isle of Skye candle company visitor centre for delicious stone baked pizzas. They even have a cinema there! The tourist information centre is in Portree too and the staff are really helpful. There is a big Co-op in Broadford for food supplies. If you are visiting the Fairy pools, Fairy Glen or Old Man of Storr, go early to avoid the crowds.

Very nice accommodation, spotlessly clean, nice decor & lovely touch with complimentary breakfast. Hosts very communicative via texts.

Had a visit to Saucy Mary's for an evening drink. Nice friendly, relaxed atmosphere - not a local bar, more a young traveller's venue.

Very convenient and practical place to stay with very nice staff.

Nice medium or shorter walk option +/- dog only 100 yds away - turn left/left again at roundabout with super views over Skye - weather permitting. Steepish and slippery in parts but worth it.
