Staff and owners were so helpful and gracious! Owners went above and beyond for us!! The accommodations were lovely and you cannot beat the scenery!!

Tips:

Best to rent a car if going to Skye. You can get around by bus, but it can be tricky. The restaurant at the Uig Hotel is wonderful!! Even if you rent a car, take a day tour through Skye Scenic Tours. We did the 8 hour trip leaving from Portree. Our tour guide, Donald, was the best!!!

Stunning location and so easy to walk for breakfast at the hotel. Bar food for dinner excellent! Felt miles from anywhere but also so much to see as the sun set and boats came and went!

Lovely position. Clean pleasant room.

Tips:

Fairy Glen was fascinating but don't go, as too many people would spoil it! Seriously though the road is quite narrow and winding so take care if you drive.

Nice little place right on the shoreline. Beautiful and clean, fit exactly into what we wanted. Only a 1.5 mile walk to pubs and brewery too

Tips:

Not super close to town esp if bad weather but the hotel is right up the road. Nice seclusion although the cottage is shared with one other room and owners. Still beautiful!

Old Pier Cottage commands a stunning view across the bay from where you may view the Outer Isles ferries sailing in and out. Hotel staff were efficient and friendly and the whole community were very warm and trusting.

Tips:

This is a quiet scenic location to enjoy a relaxing break and of course the whole island offers plenty to see and do in terms of scenery and wild life. For a different dining experience visit the 3 Chimneys Restaurant and of course the " Talisker " distillery is of interest to many.

A really enjoyable stay, accommodation was first class and needless to say we would stay here again

Tips:

Would go to the Fairy Glen which is only 5 minutes away by car. This place is so picturesque. Also a visit to Neist point with lovely views of the Outer Hebrides. Lovely places to eat locally, The Uig Hotel especially and lovely to relax by the Ferry port and watch the Ferries come and go

Great views over harbour. We watched a Great Northern Diver in brilliant breeding plumage from our room.

Tips:

The Woodland Trust paths around the area are great. And don't miss the tombs of Flora Macdonald and Alexander McQueen and the Crofting Museum, and the recently discovered souterrain - just N up the coast road.

The highlight of our 2 week stay in Scotland & the Shetland Islands. The location, staff & amenities made it a magical spot that we would return to again for a longer stay. Well done!

Tips:

Skye cruises located off the main pier in Uig is a wonderful way to spend an informative, fun & wonderful afternoon on the water, especially for those who live the sea & the beauty of a classic wooden boat. The captain & mate are a delight & well versed in local fauna, history & geology.

A room with a view. Right by the water with a view of the harbour. So peaceful and quiet we had a wonderful sleep both nights we stayed. The room is freshly decorated and private parking. You can go for great walks from there or drive to lots of attractions and other nature walks close by. Great location for seeing Skye. Breakfast is not included but for a mere £5 you can go up to the Uig Hotel which they also own and have a fabulous cooked breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.
