Tricia was very welcoming.The place is like a home. Not a soulless hotel. The location remote so suited to someone with a car. The views from the house are lovely. No dishwasher and no dryer which may worry some people. Not an issue for us. The sunroom would be perfect on a cold day. Very accessible to nearby hikes.

The local Cafe in Staffin has a nice atmosphere. Portree is charming but crowded. Larger co-op for shopping at the end of town, smaller one in the middle of town.

A beautiful part of Skye….quiet, picturesque and lots of wonderful areas to explore. The little village is really lovely with the local shop extremely well stocked with grocery items and the cafe serves great food.

We had a wonderful time in your house. Thank you for the little gifts (wine and biscuits) and attentions (towels on each room, teddy bears on kids' beds),etc... We could not enjoy the conservatory (roof issue and weather was a little too cold) but that is a very nice addition to the house !

Best place to buy groceries is in portree, so you may want to do that before arriving to the house ! Otherwise, plenty of nice places just around the house to hike and discover.

Great location and beautiful views, the hosts are close by, they are friendly and helpful. The house was clean and tidy, and the tea room was amazing to relax in.

It is a bit out of the way so bring extra food if you don't want to go into Staffin where there is not much for options, Portree is about 30 min drive away, so plan ahead. Lots to see in the area if you like wide open nature spaces and the ocean.

When I’m saying the best part was when I found out I had rented it for 4 nights instead of 3, I think it doesn’t need many more words. For sure one should appreciate remoteness, if you want pubs and restaurants in walking distance, than it’s not for you. Waking up with that view payed off for cooking dinner ourselves most of the nights. Patricia is super welcoming and the house is very well equipped. We felt at home right away and were a little sad when we had to leave.

There a 2 little stores more or less in walking distance, the Quaraing is only a stone throw away. Yet a few good driving skills won’t hurt, some roads are a bit tricky. Old Man of Storr is also rather close by, and the views en route are just breathtaking.

Wow, Wow Wow. It sums it up really what a fantastic place to stay, host was incredibly welcoming and attentive. The cottage was lovely, clean, and well-equipped, with spectacular views, I witnessed beautiful sunsets from my bed, what a delicious delight. Great location for sightseeing around the beautiful Skye I loved it so much I booked again for next year!!! Thank you so much for a beautiful stay

Stunning location just 10mins away from Quiraing, beautiful sea view from the windows. The house was clean, cozy, had everything you need even for the long stay. The host was very friendly, helpful and kind. Two dogs kept us entertained , had an absolutely best vacation here!!!

Quiraing: 3-4hours hiking with a stunning view An Corran Beach: saw a sunrise here, quiet beach Portree: Cuchullin restraunt served nice seafoods but had to 1hour outside to get in. (They don’t take reservation) Pizzaway stone-baked pizza, best place to take away food

Tricia was wonderful and her home was very clean with beautiful scenic views! She is in the quieter part of the isle, but very close to many of the attractions. We had great conversation and she couldn’t have been more hospitable! Loved her wee pups, Barney and LouLou!! We would definitely stay there again.

The cottage itself is spotless, comfortable and has amazing views out to staffin bay and beyond to the mountains on the mainland. The owners of the property were also amazing with advice and local knowledge and were very welcoming.

This is an amazing retreat wether you want to explore the island or just take in the beauty of what's on your doorstep. The world famous quiraing is right behind the cottage...a 45 minute walk or a ten minute drive away.

Tricia was a lovely helpful host. We had a very pleasant stay (even though the weather wasn’t great for us on this occasion ) The cottage was wonderful to come back to after being out in the elements. Warm and cosy, the beds were comfy. Very clean and well equipped it was home from home really. Couldn’t fault it. I have seen photos of the area on a sunny day and I can only imagine it is stunning. A great base to explore the northern part of Skye.

The host was super friendly and the house fully equipped. It was delightful cottage and it made us feel very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed and we enjoyed cooking after days of sightseeing. The location was excellent and quiet. Plenty to do nearby and local shops for supplies. A great place to chill and relax and made more so by the great property.

Good location for some walks and away from the crowds. A quiet place and very relaxing. Local shops very friendly. We self catered and would recommend tht, though the local shop serves excellent and authentic Indian food.

We loved this house in Staffing bay. We were looking for a quiet place for our family to relax after each hike and we couldn’t have picked a better place. The house is beautiful with the traditional style of Skye you get a real feel for what it would be to live on Skye. The location in Staffing is spectacular where we could wake up every morning to a gorgeous sunrise with sun gleaming over the bay. We were very sad to leave the house in Staffing and Skye.

wonderful place to stay, nice and clean, the place had a warm feeling to it, also you can walk to the beach within 10 mins. The bed is very comfortable, and the owner even turned the heating on for us before we arrived. Highly recommend.

Lovely, cosy house with excellent views. Great to have the fire, clean facilities including a well stocked kitchen and clean bathroom.

Staffin is a bit remote but has a lot to offer. The Staffin slipway beach was gorgeous. Lealt falls and the Old man of Storr are close to Staffin.

We had a very nice time at Staffin Bay View! There are beautiful views through every window (especially the sun room!) the Quirang is basically in the backyard. The house was clean, the living room was cozy and had a good selection of DVDs, and the rooms were great. Would definitely recommend. Tricia was always quick to reply to my messages and offered helpful restaurant suggestions.

Absolutely lovely little cottage with views of Staffin Bay and the Quairaing. Wonderful host who is very helpful and responds quickly. Tricia even supplied washcloths, which is a big deal for U.S. travelers. I’d definitely stay again.

The road right in front of the cottage provides access to the Quairaing View which is amazing and a huge bonus. There is a small store shortly before arriving at the cottage. We ate at Antlers in Portree and it was very good.

Lovely cottage in such a beautiful location, really enjoyed our stay here. Near to north end of the island/old man of storr. Highly recommended!

Bring a variety of clothing as all four seasons in half an hour is not unheard of! The whole island is beautiful, but getting over to the western-most side is well worth the long drive.

This cottage is in a superb location, beautiful views and is a real home from home. I don’t think I’ve ever hired a holiday cottage that was so well-equipped: it really had everything we could need. We were welcomed with a jar of delicious shortbread and a bottle of wine which was a lovely kind thought.

The Flodigarry Hotel nearby is home to the Skye Restaurant which is pricey but we thought well worth it for the quality of food. The Oldman of Storr and the Fairy Pools are a must. Portree is a great place to shop and eat.

Very nicely appointed cottage. Owner is clearly thoughtful regarding the remote location and guest's possible requirements. Shortbread was my favourite of the many little touches that raise the bar after a very long drive.

Dress appropriately and Skye will never fail. Just don't tell everybody.
