A very nice B&B clean en compleet. And the service is absolutely great! I would recommend it to everyone.
Tips:The Old Inn is an excellent restaurant nearby at about 20 minutes walk. And off course don't forget Talisker Distillery.

Firstly thank you for your hospoitality and friendly environment. Everything was very comfortable and we enjoyed staying with you a lot.
Tips:When you stay here you have a very easy drive to the Cuillins of course but you already know that. Going west to Portnalong (just a collection of a few spread out houses), there is the "Taigh Ailean Hotel" a couple of miles further on, this is more like a very good pub / restaurant, you must go here it is much better than the other pub in Carbost. Trust us 100% on this great food, music, service and atmosphere.

Thanks to David for making our staying in Skye even better. Such a lovely place and pleasant stay we had being their guests. Easy to arrive, extraordinary views and comfy facilities we had at our disposal. I higly recommend it if you're looking for a B&B in the area. Don't hesitate to try their jam and handmade bread roll.
Tips:You have the pub near Marsco B&B, where you can have excellent island made beer and local cuisine, such as salmon and deer burger. You can't miss the fairy pools, 10 minutes from B&B. An amazing spot mandatory to visit.

4th June 2019:
Friendly and interesting hosts.
Tips:Having the Old Inn just down the road is a bonus as it is a good pub with good food. However, it is very busy. Sligachan, not far away, is a good base for walks, including the Cuillin ridge, and has the advantage of Sligachan Arms at the end of the day.

David and Christine are wonderful and do what they do with love and passion. Breakfast was all handmade (bread, porrodge, marmelade/jam, etc.). So all nice and more than friendly = simply great. Thanks David and Christine!

21st April 2019:
I have two comments - I rated you 4 for location because of the difficult exit with a car, and 4 for facilities because of one small lack - reading lamps by the beds. But if I had to choose one word to describe Marsco, it would be "excellent".
Tips:I don't know the immediate area well enough to make suggestions.

Owner Response:Thank you for your review, we are glad you enjoyed your stay. As a result of you feed back we can now confirm the Cuillin room has bedside lights.

12th January 2019:
David and Christine were lovely hosts! They made me feel right at home and made sure that I was comfortable and had everything that I needed. They gave me great information about the local area, in regards to sightseeing and also places to eat. The B&B is a beautiful house with great views over the lock and provides a great base to explore the rest of Skye from. The room that I stayed in was incredibly clean, tidy and comfy and ensured a slept like a log! My 1 night stay was topped off the next morning with a superbly cooked Scottish breakfast by Christine! This is a great little B&B and I thoroughly recommend it to anyone!
Tips:The Talisker Distillery tour just down the road in Carbost is great for any whisky enthusiast. If you fancy doing a small hike, The Fairy Pools are but a 10 minute drive away and provide a great opportunity to take in some of Skye’s beautiful landscape.

8th November 2018:
We had a very nice 4 days stay by David and Christine. They are really superhosts. We especially appreciated the scottish breakfast, the clean rooms, and David's advices to fully appreciate what the Isle of Skye has to offer. If we ever come back we will definitively stay here.
Tips:Marsco B&B is well located to discover the Island : Portree, the old man of storr, kilt rock, the quiraings, Dunveggan Castle, neist Point, the distillery of Talisker (5 minutes from the B&B), Elgol and the loch Coruisk... There are 2 pubs near the house : the Old Inn in Carbost (2 minutes by car) and the Seuma's Bar in Sligachan (about 10 minutes by car). You can find other good pubs and restaurants in Portree (about 25 minutes by car). I highly recommand Marsco B&B if you visit the beautiful Isle of Skye
