Breton House is lovely! Clean, spacious, warm, the shower was great. I loved Mairi and Andrew's little touches - they offered us a drink of whiskey and cooked us up a delicious breakfast, and the main room was very welcoming.
Tips:Try The Chippy for fish & chips - open in the winter even when other restaurants are closed. The real deal... they even sell mushy peas!

Great b&b with comfortable, clean, modern rooms. Delicious breakfasts included, sourced with local meats and produce. The owners were exceptionally nice and helpful. They leave out some local whiskey every night, for guests to sample. Good for both older and younger travelers. Plenty of parking space. Highly recommend.
Tips:10/15 minute walk on a pretty little port, to the town center of Portree, where there are restaurants and shops. About a 20 minute drive to the outdoor sights of Skye (Quiraing, Kilt Rock, Storr).

Mairi is an excellent hostess who goes above and beyond for her guests. It was our second stay there (we were on Skye in March of this year) and we loved it again. The breakfast is filling and satisfied our vegeterian diets, and the room was very comfortable and roomy. She was helpful with local questions and we had a great time again.
Tips:A Taste of India is a great place for a reasonable, tasty dinner and the local Co-Op store is a handy way to pick up a lunch if you're on the road doing activities all day.

Truly a luxury B&B. Beautiful property, lovely spacious bedroom, high quality in every respect and a wonderful host. Undoubtedly the best stay we had in our 4 nights in Mull and Skye.

A lovely house just a five minutes walk from the centre of Portree. Very clean and well kept, and hosts are very polite and hospitable. Comfy beds, lovely breakfasts and private parking... a peaceful location in a great part of the UK. Can't fault it!
Tips:We stayed on Skye for two nights in July and did plenty of exploring. Our favourite spots were south of Portree including the Fairy Pools and taking a boat ride from Elgol. We found evenings in peak season Portree were too busy for us, but found a lovely family restaurant and bar in Sligachan.

We absolutely loved The Benton house. Mairi was over the top in accommodating our family of seven. The rooms are nicely appointed and very clean with everything we needed. We enjoyed the whiskey nightcap and the coffee in the AM in our rooms. Mairi’s Breakfast is outstanding, best fresh fruit in Scotland. It’s a short nice walk to center of town, very quiet, our room had a lovely view of Portree Bay. It was easy to find and easy private parking.
Tips:Do not miss Old Man Storr just a short distance away. Amazing hike and views of The Isle of Skye. Parking is a bit challenging but we found a space on the side of the road a short walk from the start of the trail. Some of our favorite pictures in The Highlands. We visited “ Kilt Rock” just after our hike, very close. It’s a very short flat walk from parking to view point of Kilt Rock. The view is beautiful but would be even better from a boat.If traveling in peak months make sure to have advance dinner reservations everywhere you go, we did so we had no problems but we saw many tourists that were turned away.

This was the third and last stop before heading to Edinburgh for our flight back home to the US - and it was the best! Given that there were three of us (wife, daughter and me), it was difficult finding a place that could accommodate all of us with enough room to spare for luggage and relaxing. The Breton House did not disappoint! Cozy, hospitable, optimally located with a short 7 minute (10 if taking in the sights) into town and complimentary whisky for night caps. : ) We will be looking to return the next time we're in the area.
Tips:Beware - Dining options in town, especially dinner, are far and few between if you do not have reservations! Places to see? Everywhere! Start in the AM by driving up the eastern coast - The Storr (hiking it is options - we went 1 hour for great pics and then headed back, which took 35 mins), then Leat Falls, Kilt Rock and Mealt Falls, then cut across to Quiraing for insane views (single track road!), before continuing to Uig (very reasonably-priced and good seafood food to be had at Bakur restaurant/bar). All this can be done in the AM and early afternoon, leaving time for dinner in Portree (don't forget the reservation at least a day in advance!).

We really enjoyed our stay at Breton House and would definitely recommend to others who plan on visiting Skye. Breakfast was amazing and our room was lovely. Very comfortable bed! Thank you for being so accommodating when we knew we would be arriving later then planned! We really had a fantastic stay.
Tips:We stayed out so late every day we forgot to think about dinner. There are some great places to eat on Skye but probably wise to get their early. If You’re like us, there are some great fish and chips to be had in Portree. Would definitely recommend going to see the fairy pools and the Otter hide is great. So much wildlife to see. We went late in the afternoon so there was no one else around and we saw so much wildlife. Old man of store is definitly worth a look. Also, check out the beaches whilst your there.

Friendly owners who did everything to ensure we had a delightful overnight stay. The room was large and very well appointed with a seating area. The breakfast was excellent. (A warmed plate would have kept the food hotter). We decided on Portree as our destination to explore Skye and when we looked for a place to stay in Portree, Breton House stood out. It lived up to our expectations. The room was very modern with plenty of space, all room facilities included, a great view of the harbour with the Cuillin mountains popping out from the clouds in the distance. The bed was a King and extremely comfortable. Breakfast had been billed as somethng special and it did not disappoint. The porridge and the cooked breakfast were both excellent and more than enough to set you up for a day exploring some of the beautiful scenery and sights in Skye. One minor point, which is most likely a feature of Portree or Skye, was that the Wifi/BBC TV signal strengths seemed to vary.
Tips:We arrived by ferry from Mallaig to Armadale and found Portree ideal for exploring all that Skye has to offer. It is also well equipped with restaurants and shops.

Anyway I enjoed the place very much and i would reccomend it to other people

The staff are very welcoming and offered warm hospitality whether face to face or over the phone. The breakfast staff were particularly wonderful and offered very good advice on where to visit, especially at this time of year when things can be closed. The house and rooms were impeccably decorated, especially ready for the Christmas season, it was warm inside and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. It would be nice to have a larger living room area for chilling out in the evenings.
Tips:If you have an iPhone, connect to the WiFi-5 first! Then the other ones should work afterwards. Visit Neist Point Lighthouse, The Quiraing, Fairy Glen and Fairy Pools. Restaurants wise, Cafe Arriba is good for the daytime, but good luck in the winter evenings - many are closed and those open are expensive. Bring warm kit, watch out for ice, but it’s totally worth it for the stunning views and fantastic hikes!

A lovely place, just wish we could have stayed longer. Fantastic view. We arrived late due to ferry delays and could not get through to the number given, or another that we googled, to inform them before hand. This made the key pick up and drive to Breton House a bit involved and uncertain (esp in the dark) but when we did get though to someone (when we phoned from the guest house in town) and when we arrived at the property, everyone was very friendly and helpful.
Tips:The property is reached by going through the grounds and car park of a large hotel (look for signs for this first) then further on a road behind it. If you are not sure ask at the hotel. The keys are picked up at a guest house more in the town. If no one is on hand when you arrive there are a few numbers to call on the wall just inside and they will tell you where to go.

They also have a restaurant in town called No 1 Bosville Terrace. We ate there on our first evening and it was excellent so we didn't bother to look for anywhere else for our second evening. It would be best to email or SMS before arrival that you need to check in at another place
Tips:You need to arrive in time because the restaurants in Portree close the kitchen at 9pm and are often busy

The staff, Mairai, Andrew and Paul were lovely. The breakfast was exellent and the room was good. Ample parking. We enjoyed our 2 night stay very much. The only negative is the hill you have to climb from the town to the b&b. It's o.k if your active though. We had no problem with it. 8 minutes stroll to town.
Tips:We had dinner at 1 Boswell terrace where Andrew is the chef. The food was excellent. Visit the oyster shed in carbost if you like seafood.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely house and location. Good beds. I would feel more secure if the sloping parking area had a small fence or hedge at the bottom.
Tips:Mairi's restaurant' no 1 is very good. The portree hotel has live music on a saturday night. On the way up north you pass an old stone building exhibiting local treasures which Dougald, the owner' has collected during the years. Very interesting. Skye is beautiful.

We heartily recommend Breton House. It is a lovely place to stay, homely, with excellent staff who were welcoming and genuinely interested in us and ensuring that our stay was the best possible. We wouldn't hesitate to return and would be very disappointed if there was no space to accommodate us!
Tips:Definitely go to No 1 Bosville Terrace to eat. The food was delicious and well presented.

This was an absolutely lovely experience. The house was cosy and of a 4-star hotel standard. A bottle of champagne as a welcome gift! Mairi and Andrew are lovely people - I can only recommend staying at Breton House and looking forward to coming soon.
Tips:You must visit Old man of Storr, Talisker Distillery, Oyster Shack, Fairy Pools - Isle of Skye blows one's mind.

Excellent customer service throughout, this new b&b is run by a lovely young couple & have it very tastefully furnished in upto date modern style. Spotlessly clean & lots of lovely touches such as a pod coffee machine, a Broons album to read in the bathroom. Lovely comfortable beds with lovely soft high quality bed linen. Breakfast was cooked to perfection (& I like my egg thoroughly cooked not burned so 10 out of 10 there) the morning chef/waiter was very informative friendly & chatty & very enthusiastic about things to do & see around the island.i would highly recommend this B&B
Tips:Located a 5-10 min walk to town centre (handy if you fancy a drink) yet just a 14 min drive to the Storr
