A lovely and cosy cottage with everything we needed and plenty of space. Being able to dry wet gear so effectively was a real bonus as were the extra homely touches. We really loved our week here - thank you so much.

Just back from a few days staying at Hunish Duntulm Coastguard Cottage. We didn't want to leave. The cottage is a real home from home. A great place to stay with the dog. Large garden at the back for him to run around in. Andy is really welcoming and goes the extra mile to make sure you have all you need. We asked about a dog friendly restaurant near by prior to going and Andy asked around to come up with numerous suggestions being out of season and not everywhere being open on Skye. All the home comforts Andy provides, covering all aspects, the cottage is equipped with very good wifi, TV with access to netflix and nowtv. DVDs, games and books all avail too. Andy even provides all the food essentials, milk, bread, eggs, coffee, tea etc which is a great start to the trip. The cottage is in a stunning location with superb views from every window, either overlooking Loch Cleat just outside the front or views out to the sea. There are some nice walks from the cottage, one being to Duntulm castle ruins. Just a short walk down to the pebble beach and up to the castle. Whilst the castle isn't too much to look at; let your imagination run and you can imagine what it was like back then. Plus the views are awesome from there. The location is so peaceful and quiet. I slept the best I have in a long time. On a clear night you can stargaze from just outside with the sky unpolluted by any artificial lights. The open fire is fantastic also, Andy even had this lit for when we arrived which was great to walk in to after a long journey. Andy is a great person, easy to talk to and will try his best to make sure you enjoy your stay. We had a little snow whilst we stayed which meant I couldn't get the car off the drive. After mentioning to Andy whilst having a chat in the morning, later found that he had been out to grit the drive. Definitely would recommend and looking forward to staying here again in the summer months.
