It was simply wonderful: the peace and quiet, the sheep, the helpful and kind treatment... We truly enjoyed our stay and were sad to leave!
Tips:If you want to know anything about sheep or wool, just ask Moira! And then visit "the handspinners having fun" and "Skyeskins".

Moira was very helpful with information for what to do and see on the Isle of Skye. The breakfasts were very good.
Tips:This is an ideal place to use as a base for touring the island. The location is very quiet and serene. Really get the feel of rural Scotland.

Lovely place. Slept very well there. Moira is most welcoming and was Happy to chat about the area and her Croft. Best breakfast we have had on our trip. She even helped us with a jump start for our car!
Tips:Lovely beach area at tarskvaig for sunsets. Nice meal in aroma service hotel. Portree lovely small town with shops. Museum of island life very interesting. Nice meal in columba1400 cafe in staffin. Opens until 8pm so good for early evening meals and good prices. If going to old man of storr it is long walk up. We only managed halfway.

The main thing is how kindness was Moira with us, trying to make us like if we were at home, the calm of the place, surrounded by the mountains with very nice sights, located in a remote dorf, but easy to find and good to go acroos the island. The space you have is very large and comfortable and very good breakfast.
Tips:- To rent the house with time to go to Skye, because it gets full quickly. - The highways ar a little difficult sometimes, so be patient. - Portree is nice, but many people in the Summer. - Just visit what you can, because there's many things to see.

We had a fantastic short stay. Beautiful views, everything we needed in our room and a lovely breakfast. Moira was great-friendly, considerate, informative and interesting to talk to but also gave us space and privacy.
Tips:There's great bar food and restaurant a few miles away at the nearest hotel but if that is very busy you need to be prepared to drive a bit further-go early if you can!

Lovely quiet location on a small croft up.a glen, but only a few minutes from the main road. Would have been a nice place for a stroll, had it not been raining. Pleasant and interesting hostess, tasty breakfast.
Tips:For dinner, Broadford is about 15 minutes away. There's also a good Indian restaurant if you head towards the bridge.

Comfortable, peaceful with the occasional bleat of sheep and the song of the cuckoo this was an ideal place to stay during our short time on Skye. We were blessed with good weather, nice light for photography and two nights, giving us just one full day simply wasn't enough. This is an excellent place to stay and the Johnsons were very accommodating. Most enjoyable!
Tips:The Sleat Peninsula is well worth exploring and Skye is just packed with stunning views that you run the risk of taking things for granted after a while. So don't forget to pack your camera!

A little difficulty with the TV which we never did get to work properly. This is partly due to me seldom watching TV at all. The breakfast was excellent with good suggestions for children and excellent fresh fruit and smoked salmon. In a B&B on somehow feels the need to eat a "full Scottish" breakfast which is often excellent but is also probably more than one needs especially on successive days. So we ate more than enough, did not finish the toast and really enjoyed the not overfull plates
Tips:Skye has almost everything. Try the beaches on the west coast of the Slate peninsular and the Geln Elg ferry and Brochs

Very friendly B&B. Lots of black sheep. Nice rooms and great breakfast with choice of smoked salmon or Scottish breakfast. It is about 2 km from the main-road and so it is very desolated with views of the landscape and a short walk to the bay and the fishermens landing.
Tips:Go for dinner in the bar of Hotel Eilean Iarmain!

Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. The upstairs suites were comfortable and well equipped. Moira was a wonderful and welcoming host . Her breakfasts were delicious offering a variety of choices. We would love to come back again and have recommended 5 Drumfearn to our friends and family.
Tips:The ferry crossing from Mallaig to Armadale gives you a sampling of the spectacular scenery that awaits you on the Isle of Skye. Luckily our crossing was on a beautiful sunny day. Don't miss the Talisker Distillery tour. We can highly recommend the Broadford Hotel and The Hebridean for delicious food and friendly service.

This was really one of the best places I stayed ever in my time travelling. My girlfriend and I. We a young german couple enjoyed it so much. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic.
