23rd October 2016:

This is a fantastic holiday home, which offers so much to those who stay there. The service is excellent (the provision of so many necessities - and chocolates!). The house has every facility you would wish, it is extremely well laid out and the views are stunning.

Tips:

The Fairy Pools is an excellent walk, as is the walk to and at Coral Beach. The Three Chimneys restaurant is exceptional.

17th July 2016:

Absolutely fabulous villa with stunning views and everything you could ever need and then some. I loved all the special touches like a welcome pack of essential groceries and the phone calls to make sure we had arrived and that everything was ok. The cupboards were well stocked with everything else you could imagine. Very much home from home especially for the kids with PS3 and Wifi. There was also board games and jigsaws so allowed a lot of family time. It is beautifully decorated with stunning views no matter where you are in the house or garden. Thank you for providing such a beautiful home (not just a house) for our family holiday. Can't wait to return.

Tips:

I have never seen such well stocked cupboards with basics like gravy, sauces, tea, coffee and all your day to day items so you don't have to bring any of these with you - you only have to bring up your main items of food. Camus Mor beach and Staffin beach are both very nice for a picnic and a paddle if you can stand the cold water. Also visited the Fairy Pools - well worth a visit but watch out for the sore legs the next day. Did the Talisker tour which was worth the visit but if you are into your whisky don't be tempted to buy it in the distillery shop which we did and paid £34 using the £5 discount voucher (full price was £39) only to find you can buy the exact same bottle in Asda for £25.

Everything was as it should be

Tips:

This is a tough one really as everyone has their own personal tastes. We went to Bakur in Uig,when we wanted something fast. Pretty basic fayre, but well used. Plus if you like a beer, try Skye brewery beer. My face was the black. The well plaid in Portree was excellent. The usual places to visit are pretty good, although Dunvegan Castle was I think was poor value £12 and really not worth it.

26th June 2016:

Our vacation was wonderful. The home was immaculate and well supplied. We lost internet during the second half of the week but we were on holiday so it didn't pose a huge problem. Our owner Andy was wonderful at helping us out and I would stay there again in a heartbeat! We would highly recommend visiting the Dunvegan castle. The castle and grounds are a spectacle to see. We also loved Portree.

Brilliant situation. Warm, comfortable and incredibly well-equipped house. Owner couldn't have been more helpful. Would whole-heartedly recommend. Eight of us in our party but still plenty room and not over-crowded.

Tips:

Recommend trip to St Kilda with Derek Gordon of "Go to St Kilda". Caring, confident skipper and what an amazing place. For the more adventurous, a climb up The Cuillin with Skye Guides is also something not to be missed!!!!

Amazing, without doubt the best holiday home we have ever stayed in. The view of the sunset from the lounge window is one of the loveliest things I've ever seen! We all enjoyed the house, it was spacious, clean, well equipped and with a sense of fun. All the little extras made us feel very welcome.

Tips:

We all especially enjoyed: the walk to the Old Man of Storr the Fairy pools followed by an hour beach combing at Glen Brittle and Dunvegan Castle. We didn't eat out but did buy amazing seafood from the Oyster Shed just past the Talisker Distillery.

26th October 2015:

As before the facilities and thoughtfulness that's been put into this accommodation is second to none. I highly recommend this as a first rate rental house.

Tips:

Skye is a wonderful place. The only thing that can disappoint is the weather but that is not why we visit. It is a magical island even on a rainy day. There are too many places that are worth visiting to mention. The best thing is to explore and find out which you prefer, beaches, castles, mountains, sea, seals, birds etc etc.

Absolutely superb and fabulously idyllic more describes this properly. We needed the location and size of the cottage for our family. It more than met our needs.

Tips:

Having relations in the North End meant that we were not dependant on local services. At this time of the year, the Uig Hotel was closed for family holiday, the Sheiling was closed because of the Mod. Coffee shops were few and far between. Travelled to the Stein Inn for lunch, superb as usual. Cafe Arriba in Portree provides excellent coffee, both were 20 miles away! Yes the Bakur was there but not everybody's 'cup of tea' Weather was dry and sunny all week, great for walkingand taking in the scenery. Go a bit earlier in the season for more tourist facilities.

11th October 2015:

This is the best self catering house we have ever stayed in, they really have thought of everything and even things you didn't realise you needed! Very well stocked shelves with the essentials and a few lovely extra items you weren't expecting. Fabulous layout to the house and a very large kitchen diner, I fell in love with the house and didn't want to leave! The view from every window looked like a painting, it is very well placed to go out exploring every day. It is also very dog friendly.

Tips:

If you love strenuous walking then must do walks (best first in our opinion) are: Bla Bhein Quiraing The Old Man of Storr (do explore once you are up there, there are excellent walks that continue on and around the top with magnificent views) Sguirr na Stri Beinn an Sguirr More gentle strolls Fairy Pools (but we carried on and made it harder and looped back a longer way which is possible but it didn't offer any better views, was just good to extend it!) Coral Beach (the only place we saw cows with their young but fortunately they were in the distance) An Corran (do walk out onto the rocks as there are some amazing formations for some moody photos!) We didn't eat out so can't recommend any restaurants but having cooked in the kitchen each day it is very well equipped. Final note, we had our cocker spaniel, Freya, with us and she was off the lead on every single walk with no issues. We came across the odd sheep on each walk but she has excellent recall and will walk to heel, if your dog has an instinct to chase then obviously pop them on the lead but the encounters really were few and far between. We discovered Freya is an excellent rock climber, she had a fabulous time and we can't wait to go back!

31st August 2015:

Lovely holiday home, well equipped with a flexible layout which would suit most. Gorgeous location with fantastic sunset views over the water from both the double doors in the upper living room and the enclosed garden.

Tips:

Be prepared, Scottish weather is variable and make plans for both sun and rain, sometimes in the same day! Loved walks on the Old Man of Storr and the Fairy Glen, both very close, and the Fairy Pools a little further away but worth it if the weather permits. Had an excellent boat trip with Discovery Eye from Stein which kids loved but don't go too far afield if weather is poor, stay home and enjoy the warmth of this lovely home.

WOW! Had an excellent stay at princess point villa!! Andy and the team went above and beyond to ensure we had a more than comfortable stay. The location and views from the villa were breathtaking. The villa was wonderfully clean and Andy called us on our first night and again our last night to make sure everything was ok for and with our stay. Would highly recommend princess point villa.

Tips:

Fairy glen in Uig, Fairy Pools, Kiln Rock and Old Man of Storr. The resaurant at the pier in Uig is fab for a bite to eat.

31st May 2015:

We had a fabulous family holiday in this lovely spacious house. We even had a 'British' BBQ, as my nephew calls a BBQ we had to eat in due to our British weather. We had everything we needed although a few bigger cooking pots would have been useful. The views were stunning and mesmerising as the day progressed and the weather changed.

Tips:

Walking in the Trotternish range is a must. Sea Kayaking with the Whitewave Outdoor Centre enjoyed even though the weather was a little challenging i.e. cold. Bring your bikes! Coral beach. Lots of beautiful, well stunning views.

House in excellent location and in excellent condition. Every need catered for thoughtfully in advance. The house is child friendly and gives an immediate feeling of home from home. The goodies left out for us on arrival were greatly appreciated. The owner very attentive and easy to talk to. We felt we had a little piece of Heaven on earth for the week. Would definitely reccommend it and would love to go back again.

Tips:

Fairy Glen is a beautiful place to meander around with its amazing landscape and it is so convenient. The Fish Shack is a must if you enjoy fresh fish in a natural setting. Coral Beach is beautiful. The Quarang is spectacular especially if you go right up to The Table.
